    Build America LLC
Unfortunately we had to replace all the plumbing lines in addition to the initial remodel. Qemal, our contractor with Build America, was professional and quickly added this to our contract. We were able to negotiate fairly with our the work order adjustments as the project progressed. The project turned out beautifully. Most importantly, Qemal's crew, seemed to be proud of their work and wanted to do a job well done.

    HE Feldman & Son
HE Feldman and Sons Todd Feldman built a beach house for us on a lot we own in Treasure Island, and we feel he did a fine job for a fair price.
We started the process in late 2011 when we connected with Clearwater designer John Langston IV, who developed plans for the 2-bdr., 2-bath cottage just a couple of hundred yards from the Gulf in Sunset Beach. We then contracted with Johns associate, Todd, to do the demo on our old house, prepare the site and build the house. The coastal building code requires pilings, substantial footers, an 18-inch-thick slab and reinforced piers elevating the first floor 10.5 feet above grade. Todd oversaw all of that.
We visited the site regularly throughout the process and found Feldmans work to be thorough and of high quality. The beach code also requires shatter-proof windows and reinforced glass doors and many other safety features that made the house strong and tight. Todd provided details for options, too, including a gal-alum metal roof and highly efficient insulation that both provides high R value and added rigidity to the roof. We got almost everything we wanted with the house and many benefits we didnt expect. Feldman and Langston provided good justifications for not including some features we originally had sought.
I would certainly recommend both men to others seeking high-quality design/build jobs. Todd was busy when we were dealing with him (late 2011 and first half of 2012), so he was not always available on short notice. But hes organized and hard working, so he always followed up with calls. We think hes honest, expert in his field and hard working. A year-plus after completion, were very pleased with the results. The beach house is built like a rock.

Todd's team was professional and knowledgeable. This was our first kitchen remodel. We were nervous, but Todd was there to answer all of our questions. His team was courteous when working in our home. They were careful about their work. Taking precautions not to damage anything or make too much of a mess. His team worked around the clock to make sure everything was complete in time for some guests we were expecting during the final week of the project. We extremely satisfied with HE Feldman and Sons work. In fact, we plan on having Todd do some more work in our home.

This is the fourth time we have used DMG Construction. Rebecca and Tim Doyle have been prompt in returning phone calls. They have worked with us in keeping costs in check and have always given great advice on better and more cost effective options for doing work on our house. In 2005 they completely renovated the house, putting in new tile floors, new kitchen and 3 baths. I n 2008, DMG replaced soffits, repaired the stucco and repainted the house. In 2009 our screen porch was destroyed in a tropical storm. DMG was called and had a new porch installed within weeks.
We have moved into the house this past summer and have asked Tim and Rebecca to work on a list of things. In typical fashion they are responsive to our requests and have provided us with options. Tim and his crew take care of the heavy construction such as building new houses and additions where as Rebecca works with the property owner as a light construction person and designer. You could not ask for a better combination of people and quality work.

The next time I need some construction, I won't waste time talking to other contractors - Mike will be my first and only call!  He did an excellent, high quality job from start to finish.  He worked very hard helping us turn a "vague" concept into a concrete plan, as well as some mid-course corrections along the way.  As with any construction project there were decisions about cost tradeoffs.  Mike was always out front of the timing and up front and honest about the pros /  cons and costs for every option.  He showed great integrity by explaining every option even when he probably knew it would reduce his profit margin.  He never put us into a real time crunch which allowed us to think through every decision.  He has a crew of polite craftsmen who were careful of surrounding area, landscape, and equipment - minimal dust and disruption in our living area.  We are impressed with the quality of his work and grateful for his great ideas, suggestions, and patience with us!  Highly recommend him and his work!

We were nervous about finding a contractor because we are recent Florida transplants, but Todd and his crew did an excellent job with everything on the checklist. The professionalism and attention to detail far exceeded our expectations. Everything was finished on time and on budget. No up-sellng either. Many of Todd's suggestions actually saved us money and provided a better result. We can't wait for winter to use the fireplace.

    Capstone Construction Group LLC
We had entertained options to purchase vacant land located on Terra Ceia Island, Florida. We made a decision to contract the land through a real estate company that had it listed for sale and deposited $2,000.00 escrow money with the real estate company. Hence, the land was listed for $175,000.00 and was appraised at $135,000.00. Shane Rogers was the owner/seller of the vacant land and also the president of Capstone Construction Group, LLC., a builder in the area. We decided to welcome some ideas to build a new home with Shane after he had solicited his company Capstone Construction Group, LLC. Shane never provided satisfactory plans to proceed with the building of a new home. The most important criteria included in our plans was a home that would be built in the amount of $650,000.00 which was suppose to include the land. Shane presented plans to us in the amount of $1,100,000.00 which were unsatisfactory. After a period of time and given our extended patience Shane presented plans in the amount of $780,000.00. We decided to move forward with Shane and our plans to build a new home and proceeded to seek financing via multiple banks. Because of the economy and the appraised value of the home being $500,000.00 (we had two appraisals from different companies with good faith to continue our ventures) we were unable to secure financing even with our intention to pay any differences out of pocket that may have been needed. We have excellent credit and ample money for down payments and closing costs, etc. And we were able to verify everyting with the banks including employment and income. We never signed a construction contract and we were never reimbursed a penny of the $33,000 deposit monies. We were willing to pay the the architect and wanted to be reimbursed the difference of the deposit money. When we appraoched Shane for an explanation he was callous and hostile. The real estate company DID return our $2,000.00 escrow money.
