    JSL Painting Inc
Jay, the owner, showed up for the estimate quickly, quoted the job within a day or two, and gave us a time frame of when he could start and finish the work. He then completed the job with his PROFESSIONAL PAINT CREW in a very timely, neat and tidy manner.  We received a 10% discount for contacting him through Angie's List. We are very pleased and would surely hire JSL Painting again. We had received 3 estimates and he was right in the ball park, price-wise, as to what we expected to pay.

    Clear Tech Pools
We buy our pool supplies from Clear Tech's retail outlet and we have had the skimmer replaced by Clear Tech in the past with great satisfaction. So when our pool surface started to look funny this summer we called them to see if we needed a major cleaning, a paint job, or a whole new surface.
Randy came out the day we called. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. He said we did need a new surface (which is what we had really suspected). He said they could do it with or without re-tiling the rim and he said that we didn't really need a new pool deck. His honesty about this saved us a lot of money.
He measured the rim and emailed us a proposal the next day showing the pricing with various options depending on re-tiling or not, etc. We did decide to have new tile and we were able to buy a tile we liked from another source and Clear Tech installed it.
Each part of the project was completed on time by people who were clearly very skilled and who were a pleasure to have on our property. In addition, someone from Clear Tech management came to inspect the job after each segment was completed.
Randy was readily available by phone, email, and showroom visits throughout the process and he came out at the end of the project to be sure everything was right and we were satisfied. Which we are, completely!

    E.A. Contracting Inc.
Outstanding!! Ed, the owner of E.A Contracting, quickly came out and generated an estimate based on my needs. He was able to give me pricing options for both pressure treated lumber and synthetic decking. Ed was able to start my job within about two weeks of us agreeing to move forward. It took him a total of four days as he worked non-stop until the project was completed, even working all day on a Saturday!
I cannot be more pleased with the quality, workmanship, or total attention to detail. Based on the design, the deck boards required precise angle cutting, which Ed did perfectly. He also built a great entertainment cabinet that houses the outdoor stereo system and the controls for the deck lights. Ed incorporated the lights into the project so they were recessed into the deck! And, he installed two outdoor fans and relocated an outdoor TV.
E.A. is a high quality, customer focused, and get the job done quickly and precisely the first time operation. It was a pleasure to work with them.

    B Griffith Roofing Inc

Owner gave quote and worked with me some on the total.  Not the lowest bid but he had what I thought was the best solution for our three flat roofs, two of which are steel and had leaks.  Complete new roof was installed to include ridge venting, lifetime shingles, flashing and renailing decking.

Initial start was delayed because of weather but once started, it went fast.  Workmen were polite, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves.  Overall, we are happy with the new roof.

Several things did not go perfect.  We received the bill but the roof did not have final inspection from the city on the posted permit.  Additionally, some minor trimming had not been completed and one gutter had not been properly attached.  Once I notified the roofer (by leaving a voice mail) someone was sent the next day to fix and the final was scheduled.

The bill was not correct per the contract.  Numbers quoted for wood replacement were not used on the bill.  I pointed this out and new, correct bill, was sent.  I had intended to pay with a credit card but was told additional 2% fee would apply.  This was not told to me upfront when I asked about using a credit card and may have influenced my initial decision to use this specific roofer.  I gave them a B for responsiveness because no one ever answers the office phone (they will call you back if you leave a message) or cell numbers.

I was told that I would be notified of any wood needing replacement when discovered and either be shown the bad wood or would be provided pictures.  Neither happened even though I was home the entire time the workmen were present.  Wood needing replacement was minor and the city building inspector mentioned to me there was some minor wood issues, so I was not concerned but surprised I did not get the opportunity to view the damage.

    Tropical Paver Sealing
The employees worked very professionally. They were always on time.  The end results did not come out to what I was promised.  In fact, it looked better before their procedure then when they finished. The finish contained dull areas and very shiny areas.  When I asked for an explanation , it was because several years ago a sealer that was not water based was used, therefore areas that did not have as much activity has a different appearance.  Perhaps this is true but does not solve the problem.||I was told that the bleaching process used would remove stains, but this was not the case. The stains still exist.||The high pressure washing process left holes along side of may pavers as deep as the pavers are thick. They said that they do not use sand between the pavers for grout, so I will probably expect many pavers to become loose.||I guess I was just disappointed in the out come of the project after spending over $2600 and was relying totally on the guidance of the contractor.

    Tropical Paver Sealing
Met with Dana and Amanda, who took the time to explain in detail how they work and what results we could expect.  They also drew our attention to a number of important issues regarding the drainage system around the pool, which we appreciated.  The follow-up information they provided with the quote was very detailed and made us feel comfortable that they had the experience, knowledge and skills to do the job right.  On the scheduled day, the guys showed up a little late as they had to pick up some supplies, but once they started they worked extremely hard - in particular spending a great deal of time getting the pavers cleaned before applying the sealer.  Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and before the last coat had a chance to dry completely, we had a torrential downpour.  Dana immediately addressed our concern and arranged for the guys to come back first thing the next day to add another top coat - no questions asked.  Great customer service!  The pavers look immaculate and we will definitely use Tropical Paver Sealing when we need to reseal in a few years time.

Johnny On The Spot Remodeling & Handyman Services
John handled the project in a professional manner, keeping me informed and provided me with pictures of the condition of the deck after he inspected it and the completed projected.  He stayed within budget.  He is a professional and does good work.

    Concrete Wizard Inc
Nick was very punctual coming out and giving a quote with his wife Cindy.  Cindy did the measurements and came up with  500 square feet, which I questioned.  Nick said not to worry about it, they can add stone if needed.  He quoted me a reasonable rate for labor and told me to go to Stone Mart to pick out the travertine.  We did that the next day and paid in full for the stone which was delivered the next day.  Stone Mart is great by the way.

Renardo was the on-site supervisor and did a great job of cutting the stone and laying it in a french pattern on the patio.  We used the thicker pavers which required the use of sand, but little remained on the deck after they were finished.  The install looks great and we are glad we had them seal it for an extra cost.

In the end, they used closer to 600 sq feet, but only charged me for the extra stone they used, due to the large variance.  I am very satisfied with the end result.

    Ziggy's Perfect Home Solutions Inc
We contacted Ziggy after finding him on Angie's List.  Ziggy came out and provided a quote for a second story deck we wanted built above an existing porch.  Ziggy provided an estimate the same day and later contacted us with building plans.  Ziggy modified the plans based on our feedback and submitted the final product for review so permits could be issued.  Work began shortly after permits were issued.  The job was completed in less than a week.  Ziggy and another worker completed the work.  They did an excellent job with great attention to detail.  Ziggy even patched a small section of siding that was missing in the area where the deck tied into the house. Ziggy was great to work with and arrived each morning working through the entire day.  We were very pleased with Ziggy and will definitely contact him for future home remodeling projects.

Sam is easy to work with. He is easy to reach to reach, he showed up when he said he would, and did the work for the price he quoted. I was very impressed with the quality of his work and will use him again should a need arise.
