Found Gary the Plumber here on Angies List. Called him around 9:30 am on a Tuesday to have this work done. He said he could have someone there that day and asked me to text him the info. I sent him the info and in the text asked for a rough estimate. At around 12:30 pm his employee Gary (who for the sake of clarity I shall call Gary 2) arrived. No notice that he was on his way, no schedule and no estimate. But as I was home I was okay with it, just a bit perturbed. I already had an access hole open in the back to get to the old valve. Gary took a look at it and said "so you want an estimate?" I replied yes and I was told it would cost $400.00. I felt that was a bit steep but as he was there and the company was well regarded I agreed. Gary 2 was quite pleasant and professional and despite a few problems along the way (some his, one mine) he did a decent job. It worked. He opened the hole I had already cut in the wall more for access and cut the plasterboard to about 1/4" away from the sink backsplash. Now this is going to give me a hard time to fix because of its proximity and I wish he had either gone 1/2" higher (which he could of) or talked to me first as I could have given him an alternative to enlarging the hole. My biggest issue is that this. The previous install had a threaded fitting from the copper pipe to the old valve. He removed this fitting (a Sharkbite) and then soldered the pipe into the new valve. The issue here is that in doing this he moved the center of the valve over a inch higher than it was. He did not install the handle or the cover but left that to me to do. So when I installed the cover after he left I found that the cover barely fits over the hole at the bottom and I can see light around some of the edges. My worry is water entering into the wall. I texted Gary the owner with photos and asked what can be done about this. He did call back right away so an A+ for responsiveness. After a bit of discussion he said I should caulk around the outside anyway - "thats what we normally do." Now at the time the significance of this did not register, but if that is what they normally do, why was this not done? Why are they not coming to fix it, especially as they have to come here to pick up some parts they left. So it was left to me to fix. There were a few others things that have added to my annoyance with this. But it basically comes down to at $400 (after a 10% discount), I just expect a much higher level of attention to detail and finish. I feel Gary the owner was responsive, professional and pleasant. I feel Gary 2 did a good job on the plumbing but the detail work and small things were missing. And I feel that I paid a high price for 3 hours of labor, some copper fittings (I ended up supplying some of these fittings also) and that at the price, the small things matter.

This was my second experience with Joe Hillman plumbers. It was every bit As Good As the First. Tony knows his business and he is a decent Fair an honest man. This is the second time he's been out to my home. They work neatly, they clean up and the installation is perfect and professionally done. Can't say enough about this company. I've read them 10 Stars if I could and I'm not chilling for them I'm not related to anybody who owns or works there I'm just a guy that found them on Angie's List two years ago and I'm glad I did.

Shower valve cartridge malfunction late at night. We had to shut off water to entire house. We called many plumbers but none could come out on an emergency. Terrano plumbing answered our call and within an hour the cartridge was replaced and water was back on.. Thank you for coming to the rescue.

Nick was very honest, professional, punctual and the price of the job was very reasonable. My water heater wasnt working properly and I wanted to replace the whole water heater however nick said there was no need to do that and that just the elements needed to be replaced saving me a lot of money. I would definitely without a doubt hire nick and his company for my future needs. My water heater is working as good as new.

We have used ECM for many years. It is a great convenience when something goes wrong to have someone to call and their response is usually timely. We have had two air-conditioning units replaced with them and their air-conditioning sales people and installers were professional and proficient. Sometimes for the minor repairs it can take a couple of times to get something done correctly, but overall I would highly recommend ECM.

GREAT FOLKS! Called Susan, explained the Water issue, and she called back within 10 mins. gave me an appointment on Weds! (the day was Monday!) I explained that I had 'no water' in the house, which she was not aware of!!!.....She quickly hung up and called the guys again, and 'Curtis' called me back , and was at my home within 30 minutes! He reviewed the problem, saw the issues with the underground PVC, repaired the PVC Elbows and Angles, and I was back with water in my home in no time flat! This is what is called Lightning Customer Service, a Company run by Great Folks that take care of business at a Great Price! Nothing is Better. Nothing! Hats off to Susan and of course Curtis, who was amicable, friendly, and knew exactly what to do....I recommend Curtis and his guys for any new install, repair or upgrade to your System! AAA+++

I had the system installed in late spring, 2017. In early January 2018, I found a leak under the sink and I called Rainsoft to check their system. The plumber came out several days later, checked the system and said that it was the garbage disposal that was leaking, not their system. January 10th, I had the garbage disposal replaced. Assuming all was well, I did not check thoroughly under the sink again until one night in March, I needed something deep in the cabinet, and found a large puddle under my sink. The bottom of my cabinet was depressed and there was mold all along the back wall as well as around the puddle. I called my plumber back, and we found nothing until I tried using the water from the refrigerator, and heard the leaking under the sink. With careful inspection, I found the leak at the Rainsoft valve that connects to the refrigerator system. I immediately called Rainsoft and they said they would send someone out. Several days later, I phoned them again as I had not heard back from them. Their plumber called me, made an appointment for the end of the week and once again, they did not show up. Placed a call to Rainsoft and they assured me that the plumber would get in contact with me. He called very late Friday evening and stated that he was stuck at a job and assured me he would come the following day. The next day, Saturday, I phoned the Rainsoft office to get an estimate of when the plumber would arrive. A very rude receptionist told me that I was not on their list. I explained to her that the plumber had called me personally and assured me that he would come that day. I asked her to contact him, and she very rudely told me to call him myself. I explained that I did not have his number any longer, and if she could please contact him and get the information for me. She said that she couldn't give me his number. And I said, "if you needed to get in contact with him, what number would you use? Please call him and tell him to call me". Late in the afternoon, I phoned Rainsoft again and was transferred to the emergency number, was once again told I was not on the list but he would have the plumber get in contact with me. Then the office called me, made an appointment for Wednesday. The plumber called me later and said he would come Monday. He never came. He finally came on the following Wednesday and replaced the valve. He also witnessed the mold and told me he would tell the office that I wanted it taken care of by them, since we had discovered the leak back in January. The following week I had not heard back, and I placed a call to the office. They acted very concerned and gave me a number to which I was to text photos of the damage. I have still not heard back from them for a problem that began months ago. This Thursday morning, I was approached in Home Depot by the Rainsoft people to take a water survery. I explained that I already had the system which I was having problems with, and she sent them a message on her computer. I have still not heard back from them. I have asthma, and I am using my inhaler more often. I am deeply concerned for my health and my reaction to the mold, as well as the other people living in my home. I reach out to you to please help me in this situation.

To start, I found Hawaiian Tropic Pools through Angie's List after a moment of desperation because I was having problems with pool resurfacing. I needed a serious, qualified company to provide the best expertise to resolve my issue. I found around 4 companies, but none was available to come as soon as possible (immediately!), with the exception of Hawaiian Tropic Pools. When my husband and I met with Doug Colasanti we realized we had the right person for the job. After speaking to several people and comparing notes, Doug seemed to go above and beyond his call of duty, which gave us a piece of mind that we have found the right guy. We hired his services for his expertise and got all the materials from him. We are very impressed with the quality of work, accuracy in what we needed, professionalism, punctuality and available resources. He knew what needed to be done to correct mistakes, how to detect errors and how to prevent them. We got the manufacturers warranty information which was not provided to us by the other company. Pool resurfacing is a very expensive job, but after seeing what it entails, I would not recommend to go with the cheapest estimate, but to take into consideration the complexity of the job, and the financial risk if something goes wrong. We can say now that I will not make any other decision or pool job without consulting Doug. It was a pleasure dealing with him, none of the other companies responded so quickly and professional and he did. He now has some loyal customers!

Hiring Villa's Construction & Remodeling Inc to handle my master bathroom renovation was an excellent decision. The entire process from start to finish was outstanding. The owner, John, is accessible, technically knowledge and provides useful guidance to guide your decision. After this job, I followed up with additional work for my kitchen, closets and other bathrooms. Photos attached.

Had to fire Sutter due to their negligence in maintaining a brand new $8,000 whole house RO system that I had them install a year ago. Carl is a very nice guy, but he constantly misses appointments that he sets. I've had a leak at the pump that he installed for over a year which is starting to rust out the pump. I have asked him multiple times to correct the issue and to this day, it still has not been fixed. Also, there were certain components in the system that should have been stainless or plastic due to the system being outside. There is a reason he has so many F reviews on Angieslist. Carl is slightly cheaper than some other companies, but in this case, you really do get what you pay for.
