    We have used ECM for many years. It is a great convenience when something goes wrong to have someone to call and their response is usually timely. We have had two air-conditioning units replaced with them and their air-conditioning sales people and installers were professional and proficient. Sometimes for the minor repairs it can take a couple of times to get something done correctly, but overall I would highly recommend ECM.

    Local authorized dealer sent an email confirming date and time of appointment with a picture of the technician. He showed up on time, knew his job, took care of the problem, provided us with warranty info. etc.
    He was very polite and professional.

    BAD - Warranty company refused to cover part because their excuse is that the technician that came out there said the AC unit never worked! Not sure how he knew when it stopped working from looking at it but then said the compressor needs replacing. They kept making excuses upon excuses that didn't make any sense then asked me for proof the ac was working before, i told them i cannot go back in time and they should have asked for this.

    Don't fall for the upfront discounts because they don't provide the service that they promise. In my area, they had no repair people on two of my calls. They suggested that I find my own repair person, pay them, and wait for reimbursement. I discovered they covered the cost of parts, but not the installation, which is a major bulk of the repair cost.

    We have been using them, and they have been sending us terrible people, so we may be using Angie's List more than we have in the past. They used to be good years and years ago, but lately, they have just sent the worst contractors, people who have no clue what they are doing. They sent us a plumber who did not know what he was doing. Maybe he was a re modeler but not a plumber. He came back 3 times with the wrong part, but tried to make it work. We have to pay a co-pay of $75 for each contractor that comes out. They could pick contractors that have a clue as to what they are doing. We have had plumbing issues that go back several years, and they have to constantly send someone back out. We had sump problems in the front. some sewer line that was clogged by a tree that was growing into the sewer line, we had people come out for that. They didn't know what they were doing, so we had to hire somebody ourselves. Every time we have called them, they have had some problem with why they could not fix it. They have not been bad in responding. We are going to drop them at the end of this month.

    On a whole they take care of things pretty well. I've had issues with some incompetent contractors for instance when my pool pump was broken, they sent someone who they said replaced the casing and fixed the leak but in fact that wasn't the problem that was causing the leak so when a second guy came out he told me the first guy didn't do anything to fix my problem. Their visit is always a standard fee of $70. frankly I would recommend them because they cover a lot of repairs at a very specific price point so when the whole pump did go out that $70 covered a brand new pump instead of maybe me paying $500 to have one ordered and brought in. The same thing happened with various different appliances around the house, so it's been something worth while but it's something that you have to keep your eye on.

    I had to call them several times for quite a few things. My garbage disposal broke and they replaced it with a new one like the contract stated. My oven panel stoped working, they also replaced that with no hassel. I also had plumbing issues several times which were all taken care of. This was a great service to have because all my problems were teaken care of free of charge with just a phone call.

    The only negative I can say is sometimes they take a few days to come out and fix the problem. But other then that no complaints, they honored our contract. I would have no problem getting a contract with them again.

    I called on a Saturday mornning for service. They contracted to have AZ air conditioning & Plumbing to service this. AZ called to schedule an appointment on Saturday with the first available appointment Tues. afternoon. The scheduled time was 3-5 p.m. The tech showed up at 8 p.m. He looked at the unit outside (now dark) and told me that he did not have "the tool" he needed and his company would call me the next day to schedule a new appoinment but don't expect tomorrow as he was scheduled to go to Ft Myers then. I called First American te next morning & they promised to find me another Co. I recieved a call about noon on Wends. that a tech would be at my home before 5 p.m. The same tech from the day before showed up and took about 45 minutes working on my inside & outside unit. He told me he thinks he fixed the problem. It was blowing cool air for about 30 minutes when the unit stopped working again. The next morning I again called First American and again asked for a new company to be dispatched to fix my air. It was now 6 day's with no air. We live in South Florida!! Again they send out the same tech from AZ air conditiong Co. He again looks at the inside & outside units and say's to me that my condenser is bad and needs to be relaced. I said well o.k. this should be covered? He responded yes I will have my co call for authoration but they might not do it your missing a #$%^ part. With that he flew out the door never to be seen again. I called First American as soon as he left and they assured me this part was covered and they would fax a request to AZ Plumbing to get their report so they could get my claim going. 2 hour later I received a call from First American that my claim would not be covered because of a missing part in my A/C unit and because of this they were not covering my repair. I was very upset and could not understand why they had not inspected the home before they warranted it. Brandon Fernandez X 3348 (dispute dept.) told me "we don't have to". When I mentiond that this warranty was puchased my the previous homeowner as a selling feature Brandon asked if we had an inspection performed prior to the sale. I responded yes. Brandon asked what the inspector said about the A/C unit? I got the reoprt out & read what it said. Brandon told me to fax the report to him & he would show it to his supervisor & told me that because of this report they would cover my A/C repair. Brandon said to call him back after 2 hours and he would have an answer for me. I waited the 2 hours after my fax and got Brandon's vioce mail giving his available hours 8-5 (it was now 5:30 e.s.t) I left a message for Brandon to call He never did and it turns out he is in CA and was avail. to call me. I never got a contract & it turns out the unit was covered under manufacure warantee I had to pay for labor in the amout of $755 plus $55 ded to First American. This warantee is nothing but a scam I don't think they ever pay a claim!! They sent a denial letter at my reqt

    I called last week on the 17th to have some light plumbing repair. They advised me that I would need to wait 9 days until they could get out which is a little long to wait.
