Glass Repair reviews in Parkland

  • Bob sent two drawings with estimates within hours of our initial conversation. Upon agreeing to move forward, he came out to confirm measurements. He found that one wall was not plumb but was able to accurately measure this stall a finished product that fits perfectly. Very professional and would use again without hesitation.

  • I hired Glass by Design to install a frameless shower enclosure in a bathroom renovation. Bob was great, from the initial visit for the estimate, to the pricing, communication and quality of work. I'll definitely hire again for future rehabs.

  • This is the first bad experience I had with a contractor in a long time. When the representative when to my house to take measurements, he wanted to close the sale so bad that he failed to mention it was likely the tile would need to be repaired/changed and the measurements would change. So when they went to install the door, that was the case. The opening had new measurements and they charged me for a SECOND door! Not a good experience. Bad business ethics. Please read all the reviews on this site before hiring this company! I failed to do that.

  • Gentleman did not arrive between the 2 hour window provided by the company. No one from Glass Doctor called to confirm an appointment, cancel an appointment, or notify me that their estimate man was running late. At the end of the 2 hour window, I called to question whether anyone was showing up and was told he's running behind. However, he wouldn't be able to make it to my house before I had to leave for an appointment an entire hour later. Had the company called to advise me of the delay and ask if I wanted to reschedule, I would have. Unfortunately, due to their unreliability and lack of communication, I chose not to reschedule.

  • I called Ron at 9 am. He answered and I explained what I needed. After asking a couple of questions he gave me a very reasonable estimate and said he could be out between 2-3 the same day. He arrived 15 min early and quickly got started. Job was done in less than an hour with virtually no mess. Definitely recommend and plan to use again.

  • I called a few referrals, and some guys with a ton of reviews on Angies List. But they were like - 'We can schedule an appt in a WEEK and come out 'sometime' between 9-12'. Also I checked out some of their prices left on reviews. I called ALBERT, he said he did NOT need to come out and measure, but would just email me a quote! I said ok ... he did and it was VERY reasonable. He said if it was OK, he would come up measure, and get a deposit. I said OK. He came up and said he would make one enclosure 4" from the top (to create a nice steamy shower) and gave me recommendations for my BIG shower. Still the same price. I gave him his deposit and a few days later called and said ready to install! Did a very fine job!! Very pleased ... Forget all the big companies with their leisurely attitudes and high prices ... Albert is honest, fast, punctual, reasonable and does GREAT work.

  • Jerry came same day as my call.  He brought a helper.  Both were very knowledgeable.  They went to a glass place and Home Depot to get what was needed for the jobs and got all my repairs done.  Excellent service.  My first time using Angie's List and I scored.  Will definitely use Jerry again.  Happy to have found a great handyman for the future.

  • Dan installed a fiberglass door with nylon frame where our rotted & rusted steel door was. He was timely, professional and did excellent quality work. I would definitely employ him again. His price was not especially low when compared to replacement with steel, but I expect longer service from this fiberglass door. While he was here he did some misc repair on another external door and also pointed out that I needed new wheels on a sliding glass door.
He did both for a small additional sum. The sliding door now coasts when pushed.
Equally as important was that he did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it; something I have forgotten how to expect from a Florida contractor.

  • That was in 2014.  I just can't remember the month.  The quote was for ten thousand dollars an opening.  I didn't like the person in my house that was doing the quote didn't seem to take me serious about what I was asking because of the price.  The interaction with them was a little stifled.  Again he thought that I was just uninformed so therefore when he told me ten thousand an opening was as if he was like trying to scare me off or prove that it was an expensive project.  I already knew it was expensive.  I knew that it was a significant investment.  I just felt he was pulling the numbers out and not really not taking me as serious as a potential customer for such important work in my home.  In hind sight the other quote, I did the whole house for under twenty five thousand so in hindsight ten thousand a door for sliders seems a little out of scope but I didn't know that until later.  The quote was verbal, it was not detailed.  He was punctual.  He showed up when he was suppose to.

  • I researched companies here on Angie's List as we have had some not-so-good experiences using companies & people that we just found on local advertising & found Dan's company.  The originally-installed builder's sliding glass door had always been tough to open.  Even from day 1.  Initially, we didn't mind as we didn't want small kids easily exiting the house to the back yard as we live on a lake.  14 years later, children swim very well & is a non-issue.  The door handle broke for the 4th time and to open the door, you actually had to throw your back into it to get it open.  The roller axles were worn to the point of being cut through, the weatherstripping on the bottom kept getting caught in the rollers, the bottom track had worn into many "speed bumps" and because of the difficulty opening, we continuously broke off the handle.  Dan came out as promised & worked within our schedule.  After the repair, I had to install signs warning everyone to close the door gently as the door now is LIGHTNING-fast!  The door opens & closes now with a finger instead of both hands & a little hip movement.
