Drain Pipe Installation reviews in Parkland

The job went great! Thomas and John were both professional and courteous. They were thorough with their work and clearly explained what they were doing throughout the process. They even advised me on how to prevent and check for future problems. When the job was done, they cleaned the area they had to dig up and left the site better than they found it. Thomas and John certainly went above and beyond.

My husband and I first contacted Dennis De Zeeuw who is the founder of Sustainscape Inc. because of a severe problem with drainage in our back yard. This occurred each time there was a torrential downpour that are far too common in South Florida, more so it seems this past year. There is just too much rain in a short period of time and the ground simply could not absorb all of the water. Our back yard was underwater as was both our outside patio and our enclosed porch. Not only were both patios flooded with rain water but there were spots in the yard from the constant pounding rain where the grass had eroded; flooding our patios with brown muddy water (attached photos img_3364,3366, 3369 & 3371)This problem was magnified as we have three large puppies that could not go out in the back yard at all and had to be constantly walked all day long. There was so much water and mud that our shop vac, which is rated for small commercial construction jobs, was no match for the task at hand, as we had to empty the rather large container at least 6 to 8 times. We finally had to give up because there was no where for us to continue to dump out the water that wasnt already flooded. To add insult to injury the weather turned quite cool in the evenings, with temperatures below normal in the low 50s combined with above average rainfall which made this situation especially stressful. As you can imagine it was no fun standing outside in cold water in shorts while it was raining at 10:30 at night trying to get ahead of the deluge. Unfortunately this was not an isolated incident but rather a too frequent and reoccurring problem. Dennis sent us a proposal the same day he came out to study the problem and we immediately accepted his very reasonable terms and asked him to schedule us as soon as he possibly could. He did explain he was booked for the next month but we felt we had weathered this problem for this long it was worth waiting for Dennis and his crew to do the work for us. That turned out to be the right call. Dennis knew rain was forecast for the end of the week and he called and said he was doing everything he could to come out the day before the rain was expected and wanted to know if that was OK with us. Of course we were delighted and appreciated his consideration. Sure enough he came out with three workers the day before the rain was scheduled to begin falling to install the new French Drain. I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful job they did. The three workers, removed an old corrugated drain pipe that was no longer working, dug a 20 long and 5 deep trench in preparation for the new drain and installed drainage rock at the base of the trench to add in additional drainage. They also tested the drain once it was installed and completely backfilled the entire area. Not only did they install this drainage system in a single day, but they also regraded the ground immediately surrounding the drain itself and properly re-positioned the outside patio pavers at the proper angle to allow better drainage away from the house. The new drain was positioned so that all of the water exiting the drain pipe flowed out towards the end of the property. Dennis called the next day after it had been raining for a while to inquire if everything was working properly and of course it was. We sent him some of photos I have attached to this review so he could see first hand what an excellent job he and his crew did (attached photos img_3381, 3383, 3384,3385 & 3386). Obviously the photos with the flooding and mud are pre drain installation and the photos with the clean patio (img_3395, 3397, &3398)showing the rain properly draining were after the installation by Sustainscape. You can see how hard it was raining by looking at the water on the screens of the enclosed patio, yet notice there is not one drop of water on our patio other than what came through the patio screens. Here is an additional photo (img_3403) taken facing Northeast from the front of my house showing how it rained so hard that our entire street had flooded and the water stopped at my next door neighbors house just short of my home. Dennis and his crew are to be commended for doing excellent work, at a very reasonable cost, and in record time. And if I didnt already state this, let me reiterate how immaculate they left the area. I am still amazed at the large trench in our yard at the inception of this project and how little earth appeared to be disturbed when they were finished. Did I mention they did all of this work in just one day? Amazing! The next day several pieces of strategically placed sod and there was no trace any work had been done. Dennis and his entire crew were all very knowledgeable, professional, polite, hardworking and down to earth, and you truly couldnt ask for nicer guys. Every time it rains now, we think of Dennis and his guys and say a prayer of thanks to them. We highly recommend this company and will absolutely be using them again in the future as we are very interested in having low maintenance, sustainable landscaping indigenous to South Florida. Kudos for a job well done!

For the first issue, a large section of the exterior wall and the interior wall had to be removed and replaced. The area was completely reconstructed (we have a wood frame house). The drain system for the screen enclosure had to be modified so that the rain water would drain away from the house and not into it, and the tile roof had to be modified to redirect the water flow into the new drain system they installed. Some of the wooden 2x6 frame boards were removed and replaced with new material. The exterior stucco was replaced and painted, the insulation was replaced, and the interior drywall was replaced and painted.
For the second issue, an access panel was added under the A/C unit and a battery operated water sensor alarm was put on the floor. The baseboard in the adjoining closet and one dining room wall was removed and the area was allowed to dry out. A small area was cut out of the drywall inside the closet to check for mold, and there was none. After the area dried, the hole was patched, the baseboard was re-installed & caulked, and the paint was touched up as needed.
We have worked with this organization before and they still provide the same excellent level of service.  The people working here were prompt, capable, and extremely pleasant to work with. From the top down everyone we came in contact with addressed our needs promptly and professionally.

My house has had a few mainline backups over the past few years.  A few weeks ago we had another.  I looked on Angie's list and found Dascor Plumbing and used them based on the Angie's list ratings and user feedback.  I couldn't have been happier with their professionalism and the quality of their service.

Last week, Doug (I think the owner) came out to my house to unclog the mainline and recommended that since we have had so many problems over the past few years, if we have a problem in the near future, we should get a camera into the main line and see what is causing our problems.  A week later we experienced another main line backup and I immediately called Dascor.

They were here before 8am and unclogged the drain.  Doug also sent the Camera over so they could get into the main line and take video of what is actually happening.  Turns out that my house's cleanout was cracked and completely broken about 2 feet under the ground and roots started to grow into the plumbing line which caused the blockage in my system.

Duane and Johnny fixed the problem that we were having quickly - they had dig up the old line,  cut out the old pipe and clean out drain and install a new one.

I am very happy with the job and would only use Dascor for all my future plumbing work.

I called West End Plumbing to first purchase and install a water heater.  Their service was so good that i decided to use them for my complete kitchen and bathroom remodeling as well as a few existing leaks that I had in my house.  From start to finish they were the best!

On October 1,2010 a pipe busted under my sink and damaged my wooden cabinets and floor.I didn't even know where to begin on finding a reputable company . I called my friend Wendy ,who owns a gym, and she recommended Alliance restoration, who had done work for her previously. I contacted Alliance and they sent someone over that day. I felt comfortable with the representive they sent over. His name was Jared Silverman and put me at ease right away. He said he would contact my insurance company and get my house back to normal .What could have been a nightmare turned out to be one of the easiest and most pleasant projects that I have done!
