Bathtub Refinishing reviews in Parkland

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • I had the tub and walls in a bathroom refinished by Artistic Refinishing in Boca Raton at a rental property I owned in August 2017 for $595. Within a year the walls were peeling and the tub was wearing in areas, it looked terrible and wasn’t holding up as advertised. I called Artistic Refinishing and they came out and said they would refinish it again at half price for $280 since it didn’t last. They said they would not refinish it for free as the tenants used Drano and a bathmat which voided the warranty. I agreed to this even though I did not feel those two reasons caused the walls to peel. I scheduled them to come out and when they arrived I got a another call saying that the walls look really ybad and they were only doing the tub for $280 and would I like the walls done as well which now would be the full normal price at $595. That was not what was agreed upon in writing and I was not willing to dump another $600 into something that didn’t last the first time. This time they told me the work was not guaranteed because it was a rental property! That was never mentioned or an issue up until that point and they knew it was for a rental originally and when I called over a year later. The company told me they would not make any money on this if the did the whole thing for $280! Duh, you were fixing a problem not making a profit. Needless to say, I sent them away and do not recommend them or this process as a solution to updating your bathroom. It does not hold up! This company did not guarantee the work as advertised either! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

  • I can't say enough about Roger. He is the nicest guy to work with. He left my tubs looking like new. He is punctual, reasonable, clean and a perfectionist in what he does. Qualities that are hard to find in most contractors especially here in South Florida. I highly recommend him.

  • Each one refinished tub lasted less than one year. Residents in 2 houses complained and company came back to say they did the job right. Both tubs still leak. Paint pealed off all 3 tubs. Owner came out to two houses, noticed the leaks and walked away with no action. No responses to follow up calls and texts asking to fix again. Even offered to pay again. This company works with many investors. I won't recommend them. Cost me too much in my personal time just to try to get the job done right with this company.

  • The final product came out amazing! Our bathtub looks absolutely breathtaking and exactly what we wanted. I can't stress enough how detailed and efficient this company was with us. I'm a very picky and honest person when it comes to reviews but this company deserves two thumbs up! Highly recommend it!!!

  • It was wonderful, Cassio was easy to deal with, knew his stuff and went to work with no issues at all.  He did a great job and I can't wait to get him back to do another tub refinishing.  My 20 year old beige tub that was looking dirty and dingy now is white and looks brand new. Thank you.

  • Cassio was the consummate professional from start to finish. After speaking with him on the phone about the procedure, pricing and scheduling; he followed up by confirming the date we had selected and called ahead the day he was due to arrive.
He matched the color of the tub for the glaze to blend with existing tile and patched a rust spot  about the size of a nickel  where the porcelain was worn away. A few days later, I noticed that the caulking around the tub started to look yellow and did not match the glaze or the white grout on the tiled wall behind the tub. I called Cassio and he set up an appointment to re caulk and he did white this time and it looks great.  He is a perfectionist and a man of his word and did not run away from a customer who had an issue after the job was complete as some South Florida businesses have been known to do. He also provided a sheet of care instructions and recommended cleaning products. One of the best customer service experiences I have found.  it was a pleasure doing business with him and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to re-glaze their bathtub.

  • To be continued....  See above.  So far, Fantastic.

Well, As Bath fitters said, we were called 1 week in advance to set up the installation date which is today, 1.16.12.  7:30AM sharp, the Plumber arrived ready to work.  I am impressed!!!!!  I'll continue the story as we progress.

The Plumber completed his work at 8:30 am perfectly and as he was walking out of my garage, Chris from Bathfitters was walking in.

Everything went perfectly, He introduced himself, explained the whole project and went right to work.  He put down carpeting to protect mine, he had his own fans, brooms and he took his own garbage away.

The installation was precision,I have no words for how pleased both my wife and I are.  I have not seen a company perform like this in a long time.  I am considering our 2nd bath in in the near future and highly recommend their services to everyone considering a new Bath or Shower.

I will be posting photos soon of the whole installation.
The installation took over twelve solid hours of this one single person working. The fumes were pretty strong despite Chris having opened wide the bathroom window and had a floor fan going full blast.
When  we were finally called to inspect the bath it looked great! We were instructed not to use the shower stall for a full 24 hours. On Wednesday night I decide to take a shower and noticed that the unused shower/tub was wet. I dried it and then realized that there was a leak from the brand new fixtures. This is the first time a really inspected  the whole new shower stall and realized that caulking had not been applied around the fixtures, the inside seem of the trimming or around the window frame. I immediately called the sales person with a request to call me that night or else at the office the next morning. By 9:00 a.m. the next morning I hadn't heard from anyone. I called the Bath fitters office (excellent receptionist) she promised someone would call me within the hour. They did I spoke to Tony. Not a ray of sunshine. He was not conciliatory or apologetic. Finally we agreed on a visit by the service man at 8:00 am the next morning and he stated he would reconfirm. That reconfirmation never came. My husband called the sales representative at night and she assured us the service call was scheduled for the next morning at 8:00 a.m. If you are a stickler for punctuality... the service man showed up at 9:10 a.m. without a word explaining his delay. He checked and changed the defective hardware and explained that about the caulking they do not do that around the frames. I insisted he do it. I had been promised a bathtub/shower stall that was totally water tight! This he performed to my satisfaction and since the new shower/bathtub stall looks great and I have been using it for a week without any more problems. I am glad I insisted on having all the caulking all around every single seem. This stall is exactly the size of a standard bathtub, so it is pretty tight and when you take a shower everything gets wet!

  • Unfortunately, they didn’t measure the dimensions correctly for the first bathroom. Therefore, they had to install the unit in two pieces instead of one. The gentleman who performed the installation worked very hard at trying to make things right. I really appreciated his efforts.  At this point, the liner is starting to pull away from the wall, so I plan on calling them about this. However, everything with the second project turned out gorgeous. I really love their product. It’s easy to maintain, and it still looks brand new.
