Affordable Appliance Repair - Panama City
WARNING, CONSUMER BEWARE!!!! Don't waste your time with this company, they are very unreliable with their service calls. Just to make an appointment, I had to call several times and left messages before they bothered to called back. At that point, I was skeptical about making an appointment, but I went ahead an scheduled one anyway. The date we scheduled was well in advance, and also a morning appointment so that we were the first on the service route for that day. Well, sure enough they never showed up for the appointment. Not only did they waste my time, I paid my housekeeper to be onsite waiting for this appointment. We called several times to find out if they were running late, and they never responded to our voice mails. This company is clearly a one-man show, very difficult to reach, and apparently does not care about customers, or their time. They did not even bother to call us back to reschedule or apologize. Overall, very unprofessional and certainly not reliable!

    Independent Appliance Inc
Called Independent Appliance at 10.30am this morning, explained the problem with the dryer to Lance (who answered the phone), who told me told a technician would be at my house around 11.00am. The technician (Morgan) arrived promptly around 11.04am, and got straight to work. He diagnosed the problem as a broken belt, and showed me the cause of the trouble! Morgan changed the belt, and had the dryer operational again very quickly. The two days seemed liked forever without it working! Very happy with the prompt and friendly service. A little costly at $200, but it beats the alternative of waiting until Thursday for another repair company to come out! Would definitely use again, and recommend to others. Many thanks!

    Sears Appliance Repair
Called Sears. Came within hours (outstanding). Since I ordered online and the questions including giving the model number and describing the problem, the tech brought a new heating element with him. Replaced it quickly and professionally. Only downside was that I thought the $295 charge was a bit high. Otherwise, a great experience.

    Budget Appliance Services
Thought we had a major issue centered on the main electronics control board [thanks, Google]. Service man was very knowledgeable and experienced, and was able to quickly determine that the problem was a clogged drain filter. Cleaned the drain and we were back in business, at cost of the service call. Great relief considering what a new control board would have run and that it would not have solved the problem. even if we were able to install one DIY. Great job by a very personable professional.

Affordable Appliance Repair - Panama City
I paid Affordable Appliances a service fee of $29.99 to go to my vacation rental beach condo so they could give me an estimate to replace a cooktop that was damaged by a guest.  They gave me a verbal quote and I wanted to use them.  I have left numerous voice messages and emails through Angie's List and can not get a reply. I have tried 3 different numbers and left messages on all.  I would never have had them come out on a service call and pay that fee, if they were not going to be willing to repair the appliance. This has been very frustrating!   I will never use them again!

Affordable Appliance Repair - Panama City

This was not an easy repair as there were multiple things that went wrong; not sure which was the chicken and which was the egg.  Affordable made three trips and had to bring multiple parts to effect the repair, but the initial charge which was very fair was all the money that charged.

I would recommend Affordable to anyone.  If I had a complaint and it really is not a complaint considering how busy he is because of his Angie's List reviews of quality and fairness that keep him very busy, is that his is not always immediately responsive.

I will take the small delays any day, when balanced with his professionalism, cost and fairness and the fact he stays with it until the job is completed correctly.

I would not hesitate to recommend Affordable to my family or my friends.

    Rebuilding PCB
My dryer started making a horrible squealing noise. I got a quote from a couple appliance companies at right about $300. So I called Frank to see if he could do it for me. He gave me a price of $145 to replace the belt and rear bearings. He arrived at the specified time it took a while to do it and however it runs perfect again.

plugged in a stove outlet.   Initially, he comes across as very professional, courteous, and competent.  Then.....he stays five minutes or less.  Plugs in the stove burner to the outlet, says he repaired the icemaker.  Another visit that took 3 weeks to schedule and 6 phone calls later and 6 weeks, later, the icemaker is still not fixed.  Left message to return call and no return call at all now.  Oh Well, I give up!

Mr. Appliance of Bay & Walton Counties
I called them on Friday to schedule an appointment for my washing machine to be repaired. On Friday they said their next available spot was on Monday at 1pm to 3pm. I accepted that day/time. On Monday at 3:30pm nobody had shown up or contacted me. I called them again to confirm everything and see if they were still coming out. The lady tells me that someone called in and cancelled the appointment. I had NOT spoken to them since Friday when I scheduled it. So either someone goofed up there and never scheduled it, or they cancelled the wrong persons appointment. I'm not sure of the circumstance, however they are not able to come out now til next Friday. I declined that option and will go with another company.

Purchased from Sears and when i called them for service they quoted me 2 weeks for a service tech to come out. I calledAffordable this morning. Rick said he was on a job and would be by when he finished . He came by and had it repaired by 10:30 this morning. I will be using him from now on. The cost was very reasonable.
