Edgar is awesome!!! We live in Maryland and inherited a condo in PCB, Fla. Edgar and his crew went In and made the place look like new. All commutations were done by phone/text. He was prompt and did a excellent job. I cant say enough nice things about this company.

    Dream Home Remodeling LLC
I signed a contract with Dream Home Remodeling, LLC to do the 3 jobs. The deck was repaired, and Tyler used a relative to do the work. While the work is adequate I could tell that replacing this was the relatives 1st or 2nd job like this. They drywall was patched using fiber tape. There were 2 ceiling repairs and the ceiling was retextured. The ceiling was not repainted. My concern was the cutting of the stucco. While the job is adequate with the cut being in even. The debris was piled up in the side yard and because of that I received a ticket from code enforcement for having trash in my yard. Where I made my mistake was not getting everything in writing. I was assured by Tyler that they would clean up all constriction waste, this is clearly not the case. The waste was over 1000 lbs. I contacted Tyler and after putting his wife on the phone they screamed at me that hauling off construction waste was not in the contract and they would not do it. That is the main reason for the bad review. The proper response should have been "I am sorry for the misunderstanding but we will be right over and clean up the mess". There are still left over construction materials in my back yard from the deck construction. In addition I observed that Dream Home Remodeling does not own a truck and had to rent a truck to haul off a spa that was removed from the deck.

    Done Wright Enterprises LLC
The only good thing I can say about this contractor is his work is perfection! In the beginning he was very professional and gun-ho about the project. He came right over, took measurements, pictures, listened intently to what I wanted, offered suggestions and said he could do the job. He came back to me with a bid within a few days that was more than fair. We signed a contract for work to start on January 3, 2016 and to be completed in 13 business days. I found this time line to be kind of short, but he assured me he had the crew to meet that deadline. I was ecstatic! January 2 rolled around and I hadn't heard from him. I contacted him only to be told he had a family issue & wouldn't be able to start for another week. He never did start the job until February 3, 2017. Once he started, he had 3 guys with him and they worked very hard the first couple of weeks beginning at 9 am each morning & knocking off between 3:30 and 5pm each day. They accomplished quite a bit, but I knew it wasn't going to be completed in 13 days. I was ok with this as long as they showed up everyday and worked hard. (I need to mention they only worked 1 Monday the entire time they worked for me.) Then I started getting text messages that things had come up and they couldn't come to work for a day or two. Sometimes it was a week at a time they wouldn't show up for work. Of course he would text to give an excuse. Their work days became shorter. A lot of times his excuses seemed plausible as he has a young son and I have a very soft heart. It has been 3 months now since I have seen him. I spoke with him 2 weeks ago and was told his son just had surgery but he would be returning to work this week. I haven't heard from him or seen him. Obviously I'm hiring someone else to finish my job. It's so unfortunate this man is so irresponsible and unreliable because his work is wonderful. Based on work alone I would recommend him to anyone. But he's so unreliable I would never recommend anyone hiring him. I am frustrated beyond words right now. 6 months and I'm still working out of boxes in my kitchen!!!

It was great. He is very easy to talk to. I was able to tell him exactly what I wanted and he was able to do it for me. He was very prompt and professional. Not only that he did an excellent job! He definitely went above and beyond. I will be hiring him again in the very near future! I definitely recommend!

    Earnest Watkins Construction
The work was completed, but nowhere near the promised
time.  Workers don't show up, they left a
mess and smoked on balcony leaving the butts. The only thing done on time was
the showing up for money to stay one step ahead of the sub contractor's.
Invoicing and billing was terrible and when inappropriate charges were brought
up...discussed...and we agreed to pay for all but the questioned charges....no
return calls. Well that's not true, they cashed the check and then without any
follow-up discussion sent us to collections.

Buyer beware, I know it is Florida but get everything in
writing and protect yourselves.  If you
use this company be sure you have an itemized proposal, get receipts for
supplies, stop work and modify signed proposal for any changes and you might
have, you'll save yourself a lot of frustration.

They are some good trades? folks here, ask your neighbors
and friends before you use this company.
I would not recommend Earnest Watkins Construction Inc.

Panama City Home Repair - Absolute Overall Repair
We have had multiple conversations with this contractor trying to get him to do the work he agreed to and there is always an excuse. We have requested that he refund our money and have been told that he no longer has our money. He informed us that he has hired another person to complete the work but we have not seen him either.

    Handyman House Surgeon
Don Surgeon is not just handyman, he is a craftsman. Don is very meticulous in his work. Do it right or don't do it at all. Doing it right does not always translate to expensive. Don will take care of whatever task you request from him in the most economical manner that gets it done right. A craftsman. I found Don here on Angie' s List. I chose him after reading his reviews and responses. The negatives were so extreme with so many great reviews I instantly knew there was more to the story. Called Don and got an immediate response. Made an appointment for which he showed up on time for even though I was in Gatlinburg and he in Sevierville with a huge number of tourist between us. I needed to have rot on some Windows repaired, a bad spot on the eaves of the house repaired and 3 toilets replaced. After getting a very reasonable quote for the work my husband and I decided that if Don was that reasonable in his prices see what else he could help us accomplish with our budget. This is what has been accomplished so far: 2 New bathrooms. Remove/replace floors, New vanities, faucets, mirrors, lights , New walls and toilets. Dining room. New walls of sheet rock and tongue groove boards, New trim from floor to ceiling and a fold up bar for extra counter space when needed. All wood used is knotty pine. Beautiful. Living room. Cathedral ceiling walls painted. Knotty pine trim floor to ceiling. Salvaged and repaired/replaced an extremely large window facing the deck. So far he has changed our carpet covered stairs to beautiful wood stairs. Refinished the mud room with tongue and groove while also adding bins for the garbage and dog food. Bins also double as seats. Painted the lower bedroom and trimmed from floor to ceiling. Trimmed out a second bedroom. Trimming does include the Windows. Hung 4 new lights in the cathedral ceiling and one e extremely difficult ceiling fan. Reworked the air handler to make it more appealing in the room. Replaced all interior doors and added 2 barn doors and last but not least he removed a dead tree from the driveway. A lot done in 4 weeks and we are still going. This is my forever home and Mr Surgeon understood that and helped us start our path. Will share him but definitely not finished with him. A craftsman. Will let you know how our next projects go. Will call no one else.

    Danny Dickens Decorating Inc

Top rate response and service.  I called Mr. Dickens and he happened to be close to my neighborhood and came over immediately.  We walked the house and reviewed my list.  He provided an exhaustive written quote via email the next day.  We agreed on his price and work commenced within a day or so.

All work done exceeded my expectations.  Mr. Dickens has the same eye for detail that I do so I was very pleased.  As I have a construction background, I had an idea of what the fee should be and the length of time to complete the work.  I was not disappointed.  His pricing was spot on.

Mr. Dickens and his son are completely trustworthy.  I would have had no problem leaving them in my house alone if it had been necessary.

I plan to do some further work and will use them again.  I highly recommend this company for your home needs.

    Reliable Handyman
I left a message for Timothy and he responded within a matter of hours. He and I met the very next day and agreed upon what needed to be done and the cost for all repairs. We experienced one or two rainy days, but Timothy and his crew arrived bright and early, on our first clear day, and began the task of tearing off the old roof. Timothy found more rotten wood damage, than we first realized, but he was able to make the repairs, to the wall and roof, and replace the roof within the cost of our original estimate. My wife and I are very pleased with Timothy's quality of work, work ethic, timing, and attention to detail. I can easily recommend Timothy Porter, doing business as Reliable Handyman, to anyone in need of handyman services in and around their home.

It was an excellent experience. The gentleman arrived when he said he would arrive. He continuously worked and didn't mess around at all. I would recommend him to anybody. He's coming back to do some painting for me.
