    Burg, Dr. Andrew E.
We trusted Dr Burg, I use the term doctor loosely, failed us. Ill never forgive myself for allowing him to treat my father. Everyone in my family, myself included, have varying levels of college degrees in nursing. First Dr Burg didnt take appropriate action when my father presented signs of cancer at 62. He knew my father had many illnesses, including a precancerous condition. We lost many valuable days. Dr. Burg should have immediately done a direct admission to a hospital and ordered a stat endoscopy. Instead he gave us referrals to a GI specialist and for a swallow study at our convenience. Despite the fact that my father was losing 3 to 4 lbs of bodyweight per day. We were all in shock but we trusted this physicians treatment plan. Stage 4 cancer was discovered about two weeks out from our visit with dr Burg. From diagnosis to death my father lived 26 days. Dr Burg didnt even come see my father at Manatee Memorial. Dad died from Sepsis caused by his cancer. He might have had a chance had Dr Burg reacted swiftly. As my father was dying, dr burg blamed my father for not taking proton pump inhibitors. He looked me in the eyes and said this to me, thats some serious nerve to say to someone, let alone another medical professional. He was Incorrect, my mother is a nurse and my father was always compliant with his GERD medications. He modified his diet to be compliant and exercised as much as he was able, which wasnt much because of other health conditions. Dad wanted to live. We all place at least partial blame on Andrew Burg and we always will.

Dr. Natalie Borg is fabulous.  The office manager decided to "invite me not to return as a patient" because as she put it, " Dr. Natalie Borg said she tried as hard as she could to make me happy."  This makes no sense as I was quite happy with Dr. Borg.  I believe it had something to do with the fact that twice, someone in the office got the wrong prescription info.  Even on a refill of a daily med.  They just didn't want to admit it or deal with it since it could have been a potential legal issue if something had happened to me.  On both occasions, I called and notified them, as a matter of fact, on the last occasion, the office manager agreed completely with me.  I have everything written down.  I do not believe Dr. Natalie Borg knows anything about this.  She was a wonderful doctor.

Arranged blood work and a return visit for a complete physical.  Discussed recent pain in left shoulder and right arm/wrist.  Suggested treatment has cleared the pain in the right arm/wrist.  We will address continuing pain in left shoulder on my return visit.  Found Dr Grace to be a good listener and very professional in his conduct of the visit.  I am convinced at this point that Dr Grace will be my primary care doctor.

    Roger Danziger MD
I waited several weeks to see Dr. Roger N. Danziger, MD in a LOT of discomfort due to his great reviews. Then the morning of the appointment I get an early phone call waking me up--that he had a family emergency.  That was fine, but now the next appointment is April 20th?  That is at-least four more weeks and no guarantee they wont do this again-and I cannot afford to wait four more weeks into ragweed season.
They could not even offer me a fill in Doctor?  So his patients simply suffer if he is not available. Apparently there is no back up plan over there.
I told Michelle over there [Office manager] I was leaving a review.  She responded I had not "seen" the Doctor yet so I could not.  Wanna bet?  They verified my insurance and spent so much time last month on how they get paid...they did have some duty to treat me better.  The patient relationship was created by them calling Bluecross and getting a pre-approval.

Very well.  Dr. Natalie Borg is a fabulous physician.  Always listens to any of my concerns, very supportive of us making decisions together for my health.  I wish she worked in another office so I could continue to go to her. The reason I am leaving their office and searching for another family doctor is because 2 times since I've been a patient there, someone has made a mistake regarding a prescription.  This could be potentially dangerous.  Both times I contacted the office manager.  The last time, Bonnie looked up all my records and was completely astonished at what had happened.  She told me that this was unacceptable and she would have the doctor call me back.  She admitted the mistake their office had made and was apologetic.  I never heard from the doctor but received a certified email saying they didn't want me as a patient anymore.  I called to inquire and Bonnie had a different tone then.  Interesting....................pointing out THEY made 2 mistakes regarding prescriptions precipitated this.  Appears to me that someone might be AFRAID to have me as a patient now because I DO pay attention to what they do.  I am so thankful this didn't happen to an elderly person who might not be able to question the mistake.  It's really too bad because Dr. Natalie Borg is a fabulous doctor.

    Bradenton Internal Medicine
I was able to schedule an initial appointment the day after calling. The staff are all friendly, informative and professional. My appointment was right on time, I was able to explain my concerns and ask questions and a thorough review of my symptoms was taken. The clinic is a teaching clinic, so there are resident doctors there performing examinations, etc. Although I have no problem supporting the learning process, I was slightly disappointed that the majority of my appointment was spent with a resident and not the actual doctor I was scheduled with. The doctor did appear at the end of the appointment, was briefed by the resident and did review my chart at which point I was able to speak with the doctor and ask more specific questions. Dr. Narasimman is excellent. She is professional, confident, thorough and honest. I felt very well cared for and that she listened to my issues and put together a clear plan how to deal with things. I will definitely be back and feel fortunate to have found such a good doctor. Her medical assistant was also excellent, very professional, knowledgeable and personable.

    Lasday, Dr. Stephen D.
Two big toes had ingrown toenails on each side (so four sides) that needed to be extracted and cauterized to help prevent future regrowth.

I suffered with four knifes for a decade in my two big toes not knowing how deep they really were. Every two weeks I was at a manicure establishment willing to pay and quot;anythingand quot; for relief and always got relief. I felt like I was being crucified every two weeks and tears would stream down my face bi-monthly.
But what the manicure people were cutting was the tip of the iceberg and no one would know it because no one could see how deep they were. Me either. Like that movie and quot; What Lies Beneath.and quot; My toe nails never became infected which is usually the prompt for a Doctor. My Mom had these so bad her toenails were removed some fifty years ago when that was all Doctors knew how to do.

Fear of having both toenails removed and how awful that looks - was one reason I dragged my feet. (No pun intended.) There came a time the last few months in summer of 2013 I could not sleep at night and my nail techs could not see why. They felt they and quot;gotand quot; it all, but with four at issue, not just one or two - I got on YouTube and looked at how Podiatrists treat such problems these days. I needed a better game plan at age 50.
I saw reviews that Stephen D. Lasday, D.P.M. at West Coast Podiatry was the best in the business. My goal was to remove the sides but try not to remove the entire nail bed. Stephen D. Lasday, D.P.M. was mind blowingly great! He got all four out in ONE FELL SWOOP and did not keep digging and cutting which helps reduce trauma to the nail. I noted he was my late husbands foot Doctor some 20 years ago.

My appointment was 8:30 AM and everything went quickly - no long wait. The Doctor did not try to and quot;upselland quot; me anything which is a real shocker in this day and age...and refreshing. His assistant was awesome and truly cared about my procedure. He was able to numb the injection site with a cold spray as he did the injections (the only thing I read was memorable) and none of that compared to the pain I dealt with every two weeks - so I embraced it. It was not bad at all and I could not feel a thing regarding the half hour procedure.

He is such a professional he was able to work right around my present nail polish job!!! So he cared not to ruin my paint job. What he extracted was four HUGE shark tooth looking pieces of nail that went down on each side. They were so big it was unreal what I really had been working around for years. I kept them to show my kids who may need the procedure since this is so hereditary in my family.

So I am on the mend, my feet look great and I am so glad such an angel as Stephen could be my foot Doctor. I will take some photos. Any soreness is four huge spikes missing so a great kind of sore. It does not appear I will loose either toenail but of I do I am prepared for it and the nail should grow back without the extra problems.

    Coastal Orthopedics/Sports Med
The first surgery was a trauma emergency. The 2nd surgery, 3 days later, was to place a rod because my bones were badly damaged. I have been told by several medical professionals that my surgeries were performed with great expertise.
My recovery will take a long time. But so far I have not had any complications or infections. My pain has decreased much faster than expected. I contribute a lot of this to the swift and expert care of my surgeons; Dr Klima and Dr LaMarr.
Many doctors doing rounds blow in and out as fast as possible. This was not the case with Coastal Ortho. They came, they examined, they listened, and they answered all my questions.
I am very happy with the care I received.

    A quick update...
My second surgery was APRIL 24, 2013. As of today, December 07, 2013 the claim to the insurance company has not be successfully processed. I have called numerous times and written several letters. In the last year, I have had many doctor bills. This bill is the ONLY ONE that has not been successfully submitted and processed. I am very frustrated with the billing process.

    Healthcare America
I am a former employee of Healthcare America (HCA for short). I worked there for 12 yrs so I am very familiar with the care each Dr provides and manner in which HCA is run - or at least was run when I worked there which was from 1997 to 2008.
Getting an appointment with my Dr for the same day if I was sick was never a problem, however to get in for a regular visit or a physical an appointment must be booked way in advance. This is no fault of hers!! The fault lies squarely on the corporate end. They controlthe front desk staff in all the suites for the Drs. The girls try their best to accommodate the patients, but their hands are tied for lack of organization stemming from the corporate office.
My Dr recently left the practice along with 4 other Drs from HCA to open their own practice and I called to request my records be transferred to their new offices. This was in late Jan of 2013. I had an appt in late March but was told at my visit that my records had not been received. When I called HCA to find out why they had not been sent I was told they had been copied and sent back in the beginning of Feb. and it was no longer their responsibility. This lack of organization did not surprise me. Being a former employee, I was not surprised.
Healthcare America has so many fine Drs. In fact my husband sees Dr Sergio Perez an internist there. He has been his Dr since 2004. He is an excellent Dr and a wonderful, caring man! It's a shame they have an administration run so poorly that the patients are the ones that suffer.

I definitely stay in touch with them. They are very thorough and good. Sometimes it is a little bit harder to get an appointment unless I really push it. I have had little bit of problems with the billing.
