    Whims-Squires, Dr. Lisa
I like her very much. I have had some issues with sleep apnea and she has been able to help. I was referred to her to have a sleep study done and that is where the condition was discovered. She has really been wonderful with finding the right solution. She is really compassionate and takes her time during the examinations. She always attemps to get me samples. She has a very clean office and a great staff. I really felt like I had known her she made me feel so comfortable during the very first examination.

    Menezes, Dr. Marian F.
Dr. Menezes is a wonderful doctor. He has treated a lot of my family members. He has treated my daughter and myself not just for sleep medicines but also for other health issues. He is very competent and personable. He goes out of the way to be a good doctor. He takes good care of us.

    Perrino, Dr. F Scott
When you come for your first visit he orders your first sleep study to rule out or diagnose sleep apnea. The second study carefully exams the stages of sleep. I had no delta sleep which is the restorative part of night. This accounted for my severe daytime sleepiness. dr. Perino treated the sleep apnea and I'm still wearing the CPAP machine. He is also treating the fact that I do not get that deep restorative sleep. He slowly upped the dosage of a special medication until I reached the proper level for me. It works and I get a restful night of sleep and I know longer experience daytime tiredness. Another reason for my daytime tiredness was my sluggish thyroid. None of the thyroid medication thus prescribed worked. The one he prescribed is working amazingly well. I have all sorts of energy, my depressed mood has alleviated, and I'm losing weight like never before. This too, is a wonderful successful story. To me this is the way doctoring should be. One doctor treating the whole body. The way the specialties are broken up nobody knows what anyone else is doing. I bring my blood work that other Drs. order to Dr. Perrino and he orders his own as well. At the moment, I am on complete bed rest so I cannot go and see him. On Friday, I see the doctor who is treating me for my circulatory problems and I will see where I go from here. If I don't have to have anything like surgery which is a distinct possibility, I will make an appointment immediately and drive to Tampa to see Dr. Perrino. My blood pressure is sky high and I went to my primary care doctor and I do not have faith that his description is going to change anything. We'll see what the cardiologist does because they are well aware of my numbers because I report to them through their portal. I take my blood pressure as often or more often than if I were in the hospital. I have to get things settled soon so I don't run out of the special sleep medicine I have. Because he will not prescribe it in less he sees you. Which is as it should be. For years, I have suffered from severe migraine headaches. He prescribed a medication which was titrated up slowly to the dosage where it began working and I no longer have headaches. To me that is another miracle. You can see as Dr. Perino looks over the records and they are paper records not computer records, that he is always thinking and contemplating. I believe he is a genius. He's brilliant! I really trust him completely. His office is beautiful! It's like an art gallery full of the most beautiful works of art you can ever imagine! You can sit and look and just marvel at the beauty of the works hanging on his walls. His taste in art is impeccable.

I moved to Clearwater in Oct and had a wonderful reference of Dr. Whims-Squire. She gave me a thorough exam and explanation of my condition and ordered a new sleep study. I now sleep much better and it is easier for me to travel without the oxygen.

    Stephen Kreitzer MD
I was looking for a pulmonary specialist because I had moved from another city and needed a follow up test. I also wanted to choose a doctor who was a sleep specialist as I had been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I am still undergoing tests and treatment. Dr. Kreitzer runs a very busy practice but it is well run and his office staff is supportive. I personally research doctors that I use and want to know where they studied (Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a first rate school) and did their internships. Dr. Kretizer's background is excellent and he has been voted one of the top pulmonary doctors in the country.

    Newan, Dr. Michael M
Overall I would say Dr. Newan is a great doctor. He ordered my sleep study, read the results, and recommended a second sleep study with CPAP. Saw that I did better with that, and recommended I get a CPAP. My insurance provided it and I now have and use this machine. It has improved my sleep tremendously (it took a few weeks of getting used to!) Dr. Newan checks to make sure that things are going smoothly and that I am sleeping well.

    Schwaber, Dr. David P
My husband has sleep apnea and was referred to Dr. Schwaber from his sleep doctor's office for an oral device. The sleep doctor at the hospital told me that Dr. Schwaber has special training for this. My husband had been struggling with a CPAP machine for the last 6 years and it has been a terrible experience. He's never been able to get comfortable with the hoses and mask and it actually disrupts our sleep with the noise. You can tell that their office treats a lot of sleep patients as they are very knowledgeable about the entire procedure including the medical coverage. They went over his sleep study and he decided to go ahead. Once he had his appliance I can tell you that our lives have changed! He sleeps more soundly, his snoring is gone and he feels much less tired during the day. The appliance is so much easier than CPAP I don't even know where to begin, but I just wish they had sent my husband years earlier than they did. I highly recommend Dr. Schwaber and his excellent staff if you have sleep apnea.

    Harrison, Dr. John B
It was great! He spent 20 to 30 minutes with me talking over my sleep study results than my own sleep study doctor. He explained everything in more detail to me and i had a more understanding than I've ever had. He was very caring and solution oriented. He had great recommendations as well.
