  • Everything went extremely well EXCEPT for the price of refrigerant. They came quickly. Came when they said they would. Called ahead and sent an absolutely wonderful technician who did an extremely thorough job finding and repairing a pinhole leak in our heat pump. The issue we had with refrigerant is that AHS would pay the first $10/pound but Burgess charged $70/pound. A little online research found that Burgess is paying no more than $4 or $5 per pound. I called several other local AC companies and found the price for R-410 varied wildly from $25 - $65 per pound but NO ONE charged as much as Burgess. Yes, I could have gone with another company but that would have been expensive after AHS had already sent out Burgess. Fortunately for us, our system needed only 2 pounds of R-410. But this could have become very expensive, very quickly.

  • I knew what machine I wanted, I was upgrading it from a 4 ton to a 5 ton and that requires larger ducting. So it was down to who to trust to install it. I contacted Millian Aire and Chris came out (this was my 3rd quote) I was impressed when he actually did the math for the ducting and showed me what needed to be made larger. He matched a quote I had and honored the Angies List member discount I signed up. Chris had a 3 man crew out the following week. Dean, Chris and Mike were in my attic working hard most of the day. This was the end of June, so it was very hot and they did a great job, very clean install. I purchased a Trane 18 SEER variable speed 5 Ton with the Clean Effects filter system, 10-year parts and labor warranty. It comes with a two-year service plan. I can’t wait to see the power bill. The difference in indoor humidity is amazing. Jason came out and tuned everything up and programmed the ComfortLink Stat. The Millian Aire office did all the paperwork for the warranties and the power company rebate (that I already received). I will review these guys on the service going forward. I feel I bought the best machine and had the best people put it in.

  • Tech was punctual, polite, and professional. He took the time to explain everything that he would be doing and then went to work. We were very satisfied with his work and signed up for their annual maintenance plan. We also took advantage of the coupon on Angie's List for the initial system check.

  • On May 16th Performance AC installed the WRONG air conditioner, and it was NOT compatible with the outside part that was installed. A 2 ton with a 2.5 ton condenser. They also left knowing the electrical work was not complete. Someone was to call me the next day. Five days went by and I called them. They were going to come by and fix it all. Before the scheduled date came, the new AC stopped working, and Angie’s List confirmed that the Angie’s List Super Service Award Certificate that Performance AC had given me a copy of to show they were credible, was actually a fraudulent document. They had not won that award since 2011. On June 2nd they did an uninstallation and provided my $7,227.00 money back. During the Uninstallation my plenum (duct work) was torn off the wall by Performance AC and left hanging, and the pipes outside that were supposed to be welded shut, were only taped shut. It needs to be welded because no moisture can get in the pipes. The new AC company had to restrap the plenum and flush out the pipes, unexpectedly causing additional labor hours and work, and also an additional $500.00 for the labor and repair, a reduced price to the $1,000 it was originally, due to the owners price cut since he knew of the issues I was having with Performance AC. It was also discovered that there was a hole in the drywall in the attic going to the air conditioning. When Performance AC installed the incorrect AC, their guy “fell” in the attic in that same spot. What was not communicated to me was that he created a hole through the drywall leading to the AC. My hallway wall also needed to be cut to reattach the plenum, so I get to have the drywall fixed their as well. I have asked Performance AC to pay for the $500 due to their negligence. They offered to give $250 towards the drywall work that is going to get done. The bill was not for the drywall though. I don’t have that bill yet, which I will be asking them to also pay. They have avoided acknowledging the $500 bill. BBB closed the case. Consumer Affairs is now involved. Anyone can leave a positive review. That says the work that was paid for was done. Negative reviews tell what you could unexpectedly be inviting into your home. Are these issues you wish to possibly deal with?

  • It went very well very professional on time I felt like they were family the way they explained everything to me they made me feel very comfortable and their price was $1, 500 cheaper than anybody else I could find

  • The job went very well, we needed more freon, the service was done and the tech left, About a week later we had to call again,because the unit wasn't performing the way it should. The tech returned and checked everything again, and discovered we needed a new thermostat. He replaced it, and only charged for the thermostat. (he said he should have seen that on his last visit.) That is great service, I recommend them to anyone who needs air conditioning repairs or service. I wouldn't call anyone else.

  • Excellent routine maintenance plan. This is a must for A/C units in Florida, twice per year. They inspect thoroughly, clean the lines, and if needed top of freon. Also show me other issues that may be on the horizon, and they are right about it. They keep it simple and straight forward, which is why we continue to use them.

  • Amazing company!! Fantastic experience! This is a company with integrity, honesty, and attention to detail! They fixed a major issue that another ac company caused, and they were knowledgeable and took their time. They work hard, and are all about doing the job right no matter what it takes. I am beyond grateful that I was introduced to this company. I wish I knew about them earlier so that I could have bypassed my experience with the other company. They are fairly priced, professional, and they provide the kind of work we would wish for in all air conditioning companies. You are giving yourself a gift by choosing All Star, as I know they were a gift to me!

  • Everything was excellent from start to finish. My AC just died late in the afternoon. Fortunately it was April and not June here in FL. The air handler was running, but the compressor fan was not. I asked my neighbor (a home inspector) for a recommendation and he gave me Tim O'Connell's name from Paradise Air Inc. and I'm glad he did! Since it was after hours, I left a message with their answering service (I didn't ask for an emergency call, as I figured I could make it through the night). Tim called me first thing in the morning. After explaining the unit died, but that it was old and I had no interest in repairing it and wanted to replace it instead, Tim said he'd have his estimator, John, call me back shortly to schedule a visit later that day. Within a few minutes of hanging up with Tim, John was calling and said he could come out between 11 am and 1 pm if that was okay - he was there by around 10am! He checked everything and took photos of the job and gave me quotes for a couple of options. John was very thorough in explaining the pros and cons of each option and answering all my questions. He was honest and forthright, which is always appreciated. After making my choice, he scheduled the replacement for the very next day(!) and told me the crew would be there around 8:30 the next morning. No waiting a week or more! The crew showed up exactly on time and were a group of three friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, experienced, professional, and hard-working individuals. They explained everything in detail, prepped the area, and got to work. I work from home and there was little to no noise and no unnecessary interruptions. When I finally went to check on their progress - they were already finishing up ahead of schedule - and my garage and outside AC area looked cleaner than before they started! I can't say enough good things about the removal and installation team! After they explained everything, gave me all the paperwork, and left with my thanks, Tim the owner showed up to check on the job personally. All in all, I can honestly say that I have NEVER had such a terrific experience with ANY air conditioning company in 30 years of home ownership. No strong-arm upselling, no haughty attitudes, and no BS - just honest advice and honest work. I highly recommend Tim O'Connell and Paradise Air Inc. and will be personally using and recommending them from now on. I have finally found my "AC guys".

  • We have been unsuccessful in having a reliable A/C company service our unit for many years.. Either the communication was poor, or the work done was not very thorough. We decided to have Millian-Aire come to our home, based on reviewing Angie's List responses. We were not disappointed at all! Ashley at the office was very helpful and Jeff (who came to our home) was very thorough. We initially asked to have a one-time inspection and after, signed up for the yearly contract offered by Millian-Aire. Jeff found a faulty part that was installed by the previous company. Jeff spent more time than others to ensure a complete job!
