  • This is the worst auto repair shop I have ever encountered. They have held up my car for an auto crash repair for over six weeks already and are totally unresponsive to my request to finish the job. They keep telling me 'a few more days', 'end of this week', etc. and then telling me how difficult this model, a '16 Porsche, is to repair and that it will take____. DO NOT EVER LET A TOW TRUCK TAKE YOUR CAR THERE, AND DON'T EVER USE THEM BY CHOICE!!! Update: After waiting almost 2 months for repairs to be completed, being lied to by them regarding completion dates, I finally staged a one-person 7.5 hr. sit-in at their shop first thing in the morning the Friday before Christmas and informed them I wasn't leaving without my car - either on a tow truck to another shop or driven by me. They gave me the car back a few minutes before closing and on the way home I realized the air conditioning was completely gone and a big red warning appeared on the dashboard "ENGINE CONTROL FAULT, REDUCED ENGINE POWER". Don't ever use them or let your roadside assistance program tow you there. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS!!!

  • Kevin, James and Paul are amazing. They took the extra time to research the issue that I was having on my '09 Mini. They determined that the problem was a safety recall issue that I had not been alerted to by my dealership. The safety issue was very serious - the engine could stop running at any point when driving - and the car had been serviced after the date of the recall. Kevin told me to return the car to the dealership to have the work done. They even provided me with printed proof that the car was under recall to take to the dealership. Kevin phoned me a couple days later to ensure that the dealership had fixed the recall and the car was running correctly. I was so impressed with the sincerity that was shown for my safety. They didn't charge me for the research or time they had taken, they were more concerned with having the car's recall issue handled. I will always refer Kevin, James, Paul.

  • Terrible. I rated my experience honestly after being told by the salesman, Barry, to rate all 10's. It wasn't awful at the time but it certainly wasn't all 10's so I rated accordingly. Unprofessional Barry then sends me a text accusing me of not being accurate on the survey which took food from his table because he didn't earn a bonus! I was SO angry by this behavior that I will now not recommend them to anyone and never return for service.

  • My husband just got his car fixed at Ferman Collisions and he was not satisfied with their work. You know, when the lights come on when you need service for your vehicle? He got the service done and all the lights came one. And then he has some suspension issues where they didn’t properly fix the suspension. I think they ultimately fixed everything but they took longer than they anticipated to fix his vehicle and then after he got it fixed he had to take it back because there were issues. He took it in 3 weeks ago and he got it back 2 days ago. They told him it would take a week and it took 3. They ultimately fixed everything it just would’ve been nice if they got it right the first time. The work they did was ok.  I suppose we'd use them again but maybe we'd look for someone else first. We haven't written them off completely. It wasn't so horrible that we would not use them again.

  • It was up on the lift, then they got the car down and it was finished. They didn't bother to come in the waiting room and tell us it was finished We saw they were finished but they were slow to come in and tell us and we had to ask. It was probably just that one worker that was not worker. They fixed the leak. We ended up waiting a lot longer than we needed to. They were good otherwise.

  • Here is the information I have posted on several sites I am less than satisfied with the Dimmitt Chevrolet organization. They sold a truck to my son 5 months ago and in that time we have had to replace the battery, the alternator, and now the fuel pump is bad. I expect this organization to stand behind the vehicle they sold. Every person I've spoken to said you declined to get an extended warranty. Well obviously with Dimmitt Chevrolet if you want your car to be in any kind of working condition after you drive it off the lot you have to purchase an extended warranty because their vehicle quality is less than one would expect after 5 months of owning a vehicle. Every person I've spoken to at this organization has told me everything that they cannot do and nothing that they can so to fix the situation. I've been lectured to and insulted by 5 different people including their marketing executive who needs a customer service 101 class on how to listen. So buyer beware if you purchase a vehicle at Dimmitt Chevrolet make sure you you buy an extended warranty because their vehicle quality is evidently only good for that first 90 days.

  • Never again will I suffer through another tire purchase from so called tire dealers! They are all like buying a used car, but this place is completely different. The owner is a firefighter who installs (and sells) tires on an appointment basis. He has set up a state of the art shop on the corner of Virginia Ave and the Pinellas Trail in Palm Harbor. Just head west at the main Palm Harbor Post office from Alt 19 and just past the trail - you can't miss it. I found Craig whilst researching tires for a work truck on line. From the instant I got him on the phone, having been a mechanic myself for many years, I knew he was the man to see. He wanted to know the make and model and immediately told me what type of tire would offer the best service for my particular application. I had intended to buy the tires on line and have Craig install them (which he is fine with), but I asked him to offer a quote on the same tire and he was actually $20 cheaper. I got North American made tires at a competitive price and expertly installed. Allow me to elucidate that latter comment. The first thing Craig did when he removed the wheels was to get a special tool and a drill driver. He then proceeded to clean the back side of each wheel where it mates with the hub on the truck. He did the same to each wheel. This clearly ensures a better mate, with less problems that might result from detritus between the wheel and hub. Some might be rolling their eyes about now, but understand in many years of "wrench twisting" myself and plenty of tire installs, I have never once seen anyone goo to this length on a tire installation. Craig took my install very seriously. He is also an interesting and community-minded individual. It was a pleasure spending just north of an hour with him last Saturday. I got exactly what I asked for and then some. I will never go anywhere else for tires again. Give Craig a call. Tell him Trey sent you. Tell him what you drive and he'll hook you up.

  • They charged me to fix a whole in my A/C on my pickup truck and they were unable to fix the issue. They offered a refund, but can't seem to help with me with the A/C issue. I am unsure where the issue had happened as the box wasn't damaged before this all started. I would think that either the Auto-Nation or Jim Browne is where the A/C issue had started. I have been unable to get Jim Browne to work on my truck now they have essentially washed their hands on working on it any further and refuse to assist me, despite having had my truck since September of 2015 and are just now telling me that they aren't able to fix the problem. I did pick up the truck initially in February, which was when the A/C problem started up, which is blowing exhaust fumes (carbon monoxide) through the A/C ducts. I had brought the truck back in early March and Jim Browne has had the truck ever since and just now decided to tell me that they won't be working on it any further.

  • We had been to Star before for window problems which were electrical in nature.  That was a $600 repair.  We also had a side mirror repaired for about half of the price as the Mercedes dealer wanted.  All prices are high if compared to other cars, but if compared to Mercedes, he is far lower in price.  He is timely in his repairs - he will keep you posted on what he finds and how much it will cost and how long it will take to fix.  He is professional, and honest.  Because he used to work for Mercedes he knows what he is doing.  Good work.  Fair price - for Mercedes - and timely professional service.  The only thing you will be missing is a fancy, comfortable showroom to wait in and a free rental car.  Do the math.

  • Visited on a rainy Saturday morning. Even though they had other cars that they had planned on servicing that morning, they still took time to do a check on my car to see what was wrong. They found out that it was a simple repair and did it immediately. Very polite, professional. Definitely would recommend.
