I called the office and got an immediate response. A appointment time was set up immediately for a technician to determine the problem. David showed up on time and at the very beginning of the time slot, which was very much appreciated. He investigated and evaluated the problem as a malfunctioning water valve very quickly. The required part was ordered and a time was set up for the installation of the new valve. David replaced the water valve during a follow up visit. What I was pleasantly surprised with was the extra effort David did to check all functions of the refrigerator, replace a water deflector that had fallen off, and general guidance regarding cleanliness requirements of the condenser coil. I might add that he has an extensive background in electronics which would be essential when trouble shooting and repairing modern day appliances. Seems like all the appliances require and operate using complex electronics, e.g. "mother boards", etc. We were very pleased with the price, response time, David's expertise, and short down time. He is very pleasant and has a pleasing personality. You will like him.

The owner claimed to have replaced heating element. When we asked for the part he claimed to have replaced he gave us some bogus part that didn't even come from a dryer let alone mine. I know this as we had the dryer manufacturer send us the picture of the part he claimed he replaced.

I called and spoke with Dave in the early morning and made an appointment for him to troubleshoot the problem. We discussed the issues on the phone concerning the possible actions to be taken. During the period of time between the morning call and afternoon appointment I noticed the temperatures were lowering. Turns out the freezer door was not closed and sealed properly causing the temperature rise. Dave mentioned this as a possible reason. I called Dave to cancel the appointment...he was sitting in my driveway when he received the call. I mentioned I wanted to cancel and he was gracious enough to allow me to do so and avoid a service call charge. By rights I guess he would have been justified in charging me. In my many years of experience in dealing with the service industry, it is very rare to find a repairman with his integrity and understanding. I will most certainly contact him for any future appliance repair.

Steven and Sean arrived when they said they would. They removed the old oven and moved it to the curb for pickup. They unpacked the new oven, moved it into place, connected the wiring and completed the installation. This is a very heavy appliance and the fact that two came made it possible. After the installation, they even replaced the drawer under the oven cavity that I had removed. I believe their price was very good for the labor and time involved. Even though this was a high-end appliance not available in most stores, they were familiar with it. I probably should have called them first and they might have saved the original oven

    Sears Appliance Repair
First visit..... the repairman could not find anything wrong. The refrigerator temperature was at 36 degrees when he was here but the next day it was back up to 40 degrees. We had to dispose of all the food and condiments in the refrigerator. We paid $80.00 for the trip charge. We had no problem with this. Second visit... the repairman returned within a few days..He found the refrigerator to be too warm. He replaced the thermostat. We paid $115.00 for labor, $159.00 for the part plus tax for a total of $295. I again replaced food and condiments. Within 2 days, the temperature was again 40 degrees. Third visit... the repairman said he did not know what was wrong. He could replace another part With parts and labor the cost would be almost another $500. This is a 5 year old MAYTAG refrigerator. The repairman agreed that with the money we had already spent, it would probably make the most sense to purchase a new appliance. He said ALL of our money would be refunded except for the initial service call of approximately $80.00. We did not pay a trip charge for this visit. We were told that our refund would be processed and we would receive the $295.00 back since the repairs they performed did not fix the problem. We waited for the refund. After a month, we heard nothing. We called and were told it would be sent within 10 days. Waited, no refund. Called again. We were told the refund would be processed and mailed that day. Waited, no refund. Called again. Each time, explaining the entire situation to a different person. Now we are told we have to fax the CWO Parts Return/Refund Form the repairman left with us showing the amount of the charges. This was a copy, poorly written, barely readable. We explained this to them and that we were not even asked for this form during the first two phone calls we had with them in which they said the check was being sent. We took the copy to Staples and faxed as requested. Waited a week... no refund. Called back. Told us they could not read the fax. We sent this fax to them 3 different times, each time waiting 5-7 days for a reply which was always,... we can't read it. We scanned it. They can't read it. We requested that they look at their original. There was a reference number printed on the copy. It would seem that the repairman would have to hand in the original CWO Parts Return/Refund Form. Finally, we took a picture of the form, darkened it with our edit tool, went to Staples again and faxed it and waited. Still no response. I sent them an email and they sent a reply stating that it would take 3-5 days for them to receive the image and they would be in contact with us. We had several very long telephone conversations during all this faxing. Finally, we called and asked to speak with a supervisor and were told they would refund us for the part only. $115.00!! So..... they came to fix the refrigerator three times. They did not fix it. They tried in every way to keep from refunding our money that THEY told us would be refunded. We jumped through all their hoops and finally they say they are going to refund us less than 1/2 of what they owed us. It took from May 25 to August 15th to receive the $115.00 refund. I will never call this company again and I will spread the word. I am more upset about the way they handled the refund than that they were not able to fix the refrigerator. If we were not retired, we would never have had time to keep following up on this.. Their Customer Service is the worst. I have a washer, dryer, stove, microwave and dishwasher and new refrigerator that may need repair at some time in the future. I hope to find a reputable company that I can write a favorable review about.

    JOHN'S APPLIANCE CITY
When I visited the store I mentioned I was a former customer who had purchased other appliances from them.  I didn't expect a brass band but there was no response at all like thanks for coming back etc.   Their price was exactly the same as Home Depot and Sears.  When I asked what differentiated them I was told - if service needed I called John's not an 800 phone number.  Considering they didn't even acknowledge my prior patronage I may as well go to one of the other stores where at least I know they don't care about return business etc.  So this Saturday on shop small business day I'll be at big box Mr John!!

I was extremely pleased.  I had already purchased the replacement part and my husband was going to do the job, however due for an accident, he was unable to do it. I called Steve and he was polite and promptly came out and fixed the washer.  I would use him again.

    All American Appliance Repair
Travis from All American arrived exactly on time of appointment. He checked our washer and advised what was causing the problem.  Unfortunately, he did not have the part with him. It is a 9 year old  Kenmore front loader. Travis cleaned the dryer and advised that we should have the vent cleaned as well.  He came back on schedule and installed the part. The washer works wonderfully now. No more leaks. Also we took his advise and had someone come in to clean our dryer vent. It was quite clogged. The drying time has been cut in half or more.
