Water Softener Installation And Repair reviews in Palm City

    Southern Water Services Inc
eI was frantic when I was water-less at 6pm on a Friday night.  I looked at the reviews on Angies List and called this company's emergency number.  Steve answered right away and told me he would have Drew call my in the morning to arrange a visit for repair.  Just as promised, Drew called at 9 am and told me he would be there in about an hour.  He drove up from Jupiter to Palm City and spent a couple hours on my system, replacing a valve on my well and replumbing of damaged pipes on the softener.  We got our water working!  Way to go!

I returned home to find I had no water in the house.  I called Southern Water Services (this was our second call to them for emergency services), got a real live person (during the lunch hour) and was informed I would receive a call back with an ETA.  Actually received a call back within a few minutes with the information a technician would be arriving in approximately 40 minutes.  Josh (technician) arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem.  The faulty part of the pump actually just needed to be "cleaned up" and not replaced.  Josh could have told me I needed the new $85 part and I wouldn't have known otherwise.  It's refreshing to receive reliable, competent and honest service in your home.  I would highly recommend this company.  They made my emergency (that turned out to be a 10 minute repair) their top priority.

St Lucie Pump & Water Supply
    I had a real bad
smell when I used the water in my home so I called St Lucie Pump and Water.
Boy was that a mistake. There man came out to my house and I was told that I
needed a sulfur eliminator that would
cost almost $2000. Thinking that it would take care of my problem I agreed to
have it installed After it was installed the water still smelled bad. So I
called St Lucie Pump and Water. When there man came out I was told that the
smell must be coming from my pipes So he put chlorine in the pipes and told me to leave it set for four hours and then run
the water at all locations. After a few
days I had to call them again as the water still smelled. This time I was told
that it was the water heater and they chlorinated that. The water still had a
slight smell not as bad as the first time they were out but still not perfect.
Today I received a bill for the chlorination. If the problem was in the pipes
and water heater why did I need this $2000 piece of equipment that did not fix
the problem? I think there man just guesses and the customer just keeps paying.
I would not deal with or recommend this company to anyone. Unless you have
plenty of money to throw away.

    Filtration Direct Inc
I had purchased a house with an existing water softener system that was no longer working.  The owner came out personally and inspected the system.  He made suggestions as to what could be done and gave me several options based on cost.  He scheduled an appointment to have the work done and all work was completed as advertised at the time and date promised.  Cost was exactly as estimated and there were no issues. I would recommend them in the future.

    Southern Water Services Inc
Simply stellar service! The owner of Southern Water Services himself repaired our damaged water softener system. In the first visit he fixed the timing mechanism that had kept our softener from working for *months* due to negligence from our previous water service company. He spotted the problem and had it fixed withing twenty minutes. When that failed to resolve all the problems with our system he paid a second visit and fixed a broken hose *at no additional cost*. For weeks after we received follow up calls from Southern Water Services making sure our system had been fully repaired. Not once did they have an ill word to say about the previous servicing company despite their obviously shoddy work.
We've since retained Southern as our water system company and couldn't be happier.

    Atlantic Coast Water
The service technician was prompt, but refused to overhaul the unit. He said it was too old and I needed a new system. I offered to take the risk (no warranty) as long as I could watch him work. He called the office and again refused to work on it. He then tried once more to sell me a new system for, as I recall, about $2000. I said No Thanks and he left No Charge. This same company overhauled the unit about 10 years ago and I was quite satisfied with their work at that time. Then I went on eBay and bought two non working units from another person who was unable to get them repaired. Cost $200 I salvaged parts from those two systems, rebuilt the fascinating hydraulic computer, and made one working unit. All that my unit needed was cleaning, one lever freed up, 3 washers, 3 ?E? clips and TLC. I still have it as a spare and will rebuild it if I need it. (It took me a long time to find the very small E clips and plastic washers) The unit I rebuilt is still working 1 year later. Some day I would like to take my old K60 to Kinetico?s home office and ask 2 Questions. ? Why can?t it be rebuilt? ? How did the technician know, without taking it apart?
