    I have used them for over 15 years. I've stayed with them because when I first moved to the area I couldn't find an honest, reliable auto service. I have used them for as simple as an oil change and as well as major repairs. They have established my trust and are top notch. They are knowledgeable, honest and dependable. The only draw back is their waiting room is bare bones which wouldn't appeal to the ladies. No lattes, bagels or comfortable seating. Their equipment is high tech, top notch and I highly recommend them. I will absolutely use them, again.

    Excellent service! When we moved here, I walked in and said I needed four new tires.  The owner came outside to inspect my car and told me I only needed two and a patch, I knew I was in honest hands. Since, I have been to Highway and their adjoining Palm City Lube many times.  I have a Jeep and the owner thought I needed oil changes too often and encouraged me to bring my car to the dealer before my warranty expired.  I did this and ended up having my engine replaced within warranty by the dealer. I can't even recall how many times I have stopped into Highway or Palm City Lube when I was having problems, but each time the guys really helped me and got me safely on the road to dealer service.  It's like having family in the auto service industry.  They also greet you right away when you walk in and make sure you are comfortable while you wait. I'm usually  have two kids in tow so this is all priceless!

    Recently, two family members brought their cars in for service to this shop. We did so based on local recommendations and poor performance at one of the area competitors. 
    One car was brought in for a simple oil change- our first visit to the shop. I?m assuming the typical 20+ point inspections were done @ the same time. While checking the car the other day, I discovered that 3 of the screws that held the airbox lid down were broken or missing. Only one remained. The airbox did not enter the business in that fashion so I can only assume their mechanics did the damage and did not inform us, all over a couple of screws. 
    Even more recently, another car was brought in for some front end work. While that work was performed satisfactorily, I noted yesterday that 2 of the right front wheel lug nuts had been exchanged for regular nuts. A cosmetic issue yes, but an issue none the less, one not brought to his attention, nor an offer to replace them w/matching lug nuts. 
    It should go without saying that they have lost any future business with me. This is an apparent pattern of practice, not an isolated incident- 2 cars, 2 issues, both within a close time span. Flat out, I find their repair practices untrustworthy and I certainly will not recommend them to anyone. It was cheap, shoddy work to say the least, and unscrupulous that their employees would not notify us of the issues, much less offer to make the necessary repairs at their expense. They brag about being a local & your long-term involvement with the community but I can?t imagine why if this is the standard their employees keep. 
    I?m all about supporting local businesses but from here out, we?ll be visiting the local dealership for all service. At least I know they?ll bring the cars back to factory specs, even if it does cost me a few more dollars. I've emailed the owner and am awaiting a response but judging by the treatment my son received when he went back to address the issue, I don't expect any satisfaction. Beware before using their services. I went in w/high hopes of finding a good local shop & walked away disappointed again.

    Monterey Transmission
    I recently moved to FL from New York and have few friends with automotive acumen in the area yet. So I was worried when the transmission on my 2005 H2 lost second and third gears and reverse was slow to engage. The car has 100k miles on it but is in otherwise great condition and I would prefer to hold onto it. I researched Angie's List for a reputable shop and found Monterey Transmission. I am glad I did. They diagnosed the issue immediately and priced it out. The price was very reasonable, and since I knew that my breaks were ready for replacement, I asked John to quote me on both jobs.

    I approved both repairs, and they drove me home 10 miles away. They also picked me up when the job was completed.
    The repair took three days since the parts had to be ordered, housing removed, and the breaks were almost welded on from rust. The result is a truck that runs and handles like new.

    On top of that, I drove my 1998 Corvette to him during the truck repair so he could look at the A/C which was blowing warm air. (It only has 18k miles but has been in storage for two years.) John evacuated the system, recharged it with a dye formula to watch fior future leaks, and did not charge me a cent.

    John is originally from NJ. He is a solid community fixture with a professional business. I highly recommend him, and I now know where my FL car repairs will be done.

    In July of 2013 brought my truck into Roosevelt in pieces from another shop that had gone out of business.
    For the next year, Mark, John, Moti, Andrew and Lewis essentially built my truck over from the ground up. A monumental task as I was swapping in a diesel engine from a commercial truck in place of the stock 6 cylinder. They installed all new suspension, brakes, tires, the engine, turbocharger and intercooler, electronics, lights - everything.
    The shop had never done this kind of build before and the results were excellent.
    We worked very closely together and everything was done correctly. As in any custom build, many parts of the build included fabrication and retrofitting. These people did a GREAT job.
    The shop does any kind of service. The prices are fair and they are very easy to deal with.
    Excellent, professional shop, in every way recommended for small repairs, tires, oil changes or a large, complicated project.

    I have used My Garage for several years and he has worked on several cars. In all transactions he has been very fair on price and a joy to work with. I have some knowledge of cars and I'm amazed by the depth of Jim's experience. They have done brake work and small engine repairs, and suspension repairs for me. I've ssen them doing far more complex work including engine swaps. If truely is a one stop shop. I will use again.

    Johnson Honda of Stuart
    We have been going here for two years since they opened this location. They are much closer to us than the other Honda dealership. They are honest and don't try to have us do work that we don't need done. It was 3:30 in the afternoon when our air conditioner went out. We took it over there and they took care of us immediately and it was even covered under warranty. We have closely worked Brian, the service writer. They have quite a few service writers there so you don't have to wait long for service. They are great!

    My son's car is a 2006 Impala with high miles. He had work done in Orlando but did not get the problem resolved. We had him drive home from Orlando and leave the car at Crown car Care. They were able to repair the car the same day and all is well. This is not the first vehicle that Crown Car Care has done work on. They are honest and fair. They will even drive you home after dropping off the car and pick you up after the service is complete. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

    Over they years they have always provided excellent service and on a timely basis.  They are always very accommodating and offer a free shuttle service.  They have also given me a rental car at no cost when service has taken longer than expected.  I have only had one problem with service in four years.  I went to pick up my vehicle only to find that it was making a funny noise.  I turned around and went back and they had someone look at it right away.  Because it was a secondary issue to the repair they had made, they gave me the part at cost and no service charge.  They also gave me a rental car so I could home and come back the next day.  I highly recommend Carl's GMC for service.
