I ordered a Dion plasma pen that was defective. We exchanged multiple emails regarding the device because she wouldn't accept the fact that the device did not work. I had to send her a video to prove to her that it didn't work. I am a college-educated medical professional, but she questioned my ability to use an ON/OFF switch. I finally got her to agree to exchange the device, but I had to pay for the shipping and additional insurance as the device cost $500. When I received the replacement device I immediately turned it on, checked it out and it all looked good. Two weeks later when I was ready to finally use the device, I turned it on and it worked for like 60 seconds. A plasma pen zaps the skin to perform the treatment. This pen zapped my skin 4 or 5 times and then was dead. When I contacted her, she tried to insist that it was something I was doing wrong. I think if it was me, that the device would not have worked at all, but it did work. It worked for a few seconds and was done. At that point, I did not want another device replacement. I don't have faith in that particular brand of plasma pen, so I just wanted my money back. Again, I had to pay shipping and insurance. She initially tried to say that she didn't think I was inside of the 30-day window for a refund, but I had all previous emails and tracking numbers to prove the time frame. She grudgingly agreed to refund my money, but she kept a 20% restocking fee. Companies are not allowed to keep a restocking fee when the product is defective. The product is not a good brand in my opinion. Having received two of them and both of them were defective. EWB and the woman that owns it is unscrupulously. You do not keep people's money when you are the one selling defective merchandise. With the money she kept and the cost of shipping and insurance, this experience cost me $150. I don't recommend her or her wares.

    Makimaa, Dr. Bradley J.
Excellent work... Dr Makimaa is a fantastic doctor... He diagnozed my problem, clearly presented my options and performed the procedure at the same appointment. I only wish all my physicians were as good as he is... Also his staff are just as good... A very friendly considerate office... very efficient as well.

    COSTCO
They were great. The best thing that I liked about them was the price. They were cheaper than other place that we checked on. We had a really good experience. I've used them three years ago. I go there and buy batteries for my hearing aids and they are cheaper than any place else I found. It's good to have a soundproof booth.

    Rolf Lyon MD
My husband and I have been having Dr. Lyon provide our primary care for nearly eight years from when he was the medical director of Citrus County Health Department. Once he left the health department and opened his own primary care practice in Crystal River, access to appointments have become so much easier. There is very little waiting time involved and when he enters the exam room he acts as if you are the only patient he has and he will spend as much time as he needs to make sure that you understand what the medical situation is. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and time effecient, but never acts rushed (even if there is a full waiting room). His staff is always friendly, smiling and really show that they like working there and feel valued as an employee of Dr. Lyons. His office acts as an urgent care walk-in clinic, but he does take appointments for primary care. He will triage appropriately and see someone first which may need transport to a hospital, but as a rule he honors those patients who have appointments first over just a walk-in patient with a runny nose. His billing practices are fairly transparent and up-front since he is a walk-in clinic, he takes some insurances (no HMO's), but is mostly pay-per-service. His fees are reasonable and his staff will be happy to provide someone with information of alternative provider clinics they could go if they are unable to pay for care with Dr. Lyon. We will continue seeing Dr. Lyon as long as we stay in the Citrus County area.

    Gay, Dr. Joe
As noted above, Dr. Gay provides routine checks with my husband who has COPD and requires oxygen. Prior to this, he diagnosed my husband's cardiac problems, referred him to a great cardiologist, and provided much needed treatment and follow-up after by-pass surgery here locally so we did not have to travel out of town so much. He monitored many atrial flutter episodes and worked closely with my husband's cardiologist in getting an ablation done by a world-reknown cardiologist. He continues to work with the cardiologist and the pulmonologist. My husband's gastric reflux is almost non-existent these days because Dr. Gay listened when he asked about medications. The same can be said about my husband's hypertension. And when I was diagnosed with a malignancy, Dr. Gay said I had the best oncologist/surgeon and I cannot tell you how reassuring and safe I felt. And I have not had a recurrence in over 11 years!

    Pacella, Dr. Bernard L.
Dr. Pacella was very good. I took my mom to two other doctors and urgent care and they didn't help her at all.  Dr. Pacella spent three hours with her. He stopped the bleeding that she had been having for a week. They got her right in for an appointment on the same day she called.

    Emerald Coast OB/GYN
I found out that I was pregnant on July 5th, 2012. I needed a doctor I would be comfortable with and able to trust. I asked other mothers who they choose for prenatal care. Tammie Mott came highly recommended. I went to my first appointment on August 2, 2012 the office staff was friendly, and Tammie had a great bed-side manner. I have only been to one appointment so far but I was impressed with the facility, office staff, and Tammie.

    Brian Mullally MD
In and out quickly, thorough examination and he actually listened to my problem and gave a variety of options, not just writing a script, for my better health.

    Purvis, Dr. Jeffrey D.
It is always easy to get an appointment. The waiting room is never full. Super bedside manor and friendly staff. I also love that he is not quick to prescribe antibiotics for everything!
