Gator Tough General Contractors and Roofing Co.
If I could leave negative stars then I would. I signed a contract to build a garage in Nov 2018, they poured concrete in Mar 2019 and started framing in May 2019. The never call to tell me about the status of what they are waiting on or when they will be here. Before June, they would only answer calls sporadically, and always say they would be out to work "next week." But then they would never show. Since June, they have not answered my phone calls, texts or emails. My phone always goes directly to voicemail, if I use a work phone, it rings 5 times and then goes to voicemail so I feel like my phone number was blocked. His voicemail is full and I can't actually leave a voicemail.

Awful- the driveway started to cave in and had water/rain drain toward my house after they were finished. They refused to redo or repair the work. I paid to redo the entire driveway with reputable company. (Magnolia Concrete)

    Custom Curbs
On Sept. 23, 2014 Sean was paid a deposit of $2,500 to install concrete floors, concrete sinks for master bath and kitchen, and concrete shower for master bath--$1,200 for the floors, $1,000 for the sinks, and $300 for the shower. The only service that was attempted by Sean Riddle and Ken Greer were the floors. They left the job with major flaws. The floor was sealed with chunks of debris in the epoxy finish; some chunks are so large you could literally cut your foot on them. There were black scuff/skid marks and cleat marks left all throughout the kitchen. Per Sean he wore cleats during the time he was applying the epoxy. In doing so, he left gouge marks everywhere, including my hardwood floors. There were areas where the epoxy didn't dry/set correctly, and ended up being gooey globs in the floor.  Needless to say the job was never finished, and had to be redone by a different contractor. If I could post pictures, I would.
I took Custom Curbs to small claims court in Santa Rosa County (you can find this online at the clerk of courts santa rosa county by searching court records under Sean Riddle) We won our case against him. A final judgement was awarded to us in the amount of $3,379.67--that was for our deposit, expenses for incurred repairs for a job that was left incomplete, and court cost. Unfortunately he's so sorry that he will not pay what is owed to us unless he is forced to.
WARNING to anyone who is considering to hire him for any type of work --DO NOT HIRE THIS 'COMPANY'!  Also this business in known as, Pensacola Custom Curbs,  Custom Curbs of Florida, and on here it's Custom Curbs.

    Jeff Myers Construction Inc
We got one from, was it Jeff..... that was the other bid we got but his bid wasn't very specific. U know I mean I'm retired I.T database stuff, I'm a detail person, I wanted detail and Jeff scribbled out the stuff and although everything I've seen of what he did was really good work I didn't like the bid.

    C&S Building and Renovations, Inc
We had a garage built and this contractor did it all. He built the garage and extended the driveway and the garage floor is cracking very bad so we're not very happy with that. They put an attic ladder, I mean that part is nice. We weren't happy with how they did the patio stoop, that is like a little 3x3 step up to go in and its not finished on the edges very well but the stoop is fine.

    A Terry Austin Concrete, LLC
.The prep work was done by homeowner. Terry gave us an estimate to finished based on approximately 10 yards on concrete and labor. He was one of 3 contractors we called. The first to respond with an estimate. All 3 contractors estimates were competitive on labor and concrete and availability, Terry had a cancellation that allowed us to have the job finished much sooner.
The estimate was stop on, the crew professional, job site cleanup perfect. We even consulted with Terry on a future project we would use him again.

    Paradise Fence & Decks
These two guys showed up on the morning they were to start and went straight to work.  I was afraid they would not begin and have to reschedule because I had not cleaned out the fence rows.  I had been very sick for several weeks and had not been able to get to it.  These guys didn't bat an eye and went right to it.  They took down all of the chain link and put in all of the posts the first day.  It was a big job, especially with all of the clean up they had to do.  The second day, all of the rails went up and half of the pickets.  By the first half of the third day, they had all of the fence completed and began loading all of the old fencing and shrubbery to be hauled off.  While it was a bit inconvenient to walk all of my dogs several times a day because they had no yard, it was 100% worth it.

They were friendly and professional. Arrived early after calling to make sure that would be ok. They did a quality job and it was completed quickly. They even took the time to educate me on other parts of the system and how to maintain it.

    A Terry Austin Concrete, LLC
I did not call Terry Austin first... that was a mistake. I called another company first and they came to my house and provided me a quote which I though was reasonable, but when I mentioned the price to a friend at work the next day he stated that the quote was way too high. So, I did what I should have done earlier and got onto my Angie's List account and found A Terry Austin Concrete, LLC. I called the phone number listed here on Angie's List and got a recording. I left the standard message of I've got some concrete work I'd like done, please call me when you can. I was pleasantly surprised to see my caller ID state his name less than 4 hours later. This was all done on a Thursday.

Terry was polite on the phone and asked how he could assist. I stated I knew what I wanted done in the near future. 21x20 concrete pad along the side of the house and two additional 20x12 pads along the back. Terry said that he could provide a rough estimate quote over the phone if I would like to see if it was worth pursuing further. I truly appreciated this. He stated that it would be in the $3,600 ball park range but that an exact quote would require him to come to the house to see the situation. I agreed and we set an appointment up for Saturday. Very nice on the phone and seemed very thorough. Friday morning he called and asked if he could come by Friday late-afternoon to provide the quote. I happily agreed.

Terry arrived and we walked the yard while I explained what I needed done. He pointed out quite a few items I did not think of such how with my old design I would have to change my in-ground water sprinklers. We talked through the options and settled on a layout that suited my needs. He went over everything twice and he explained the need for more expansion joints to decrease the risk of cracking. He brought up how to slope the concrete to push water away from the house. He knew what he was doing.

We agreed and then set the date for the work to begin.

UPDATE: Terry called early and said due to a cancelation that he could come lay the forms early if I wanted. I agreed and he said to expect him at 7:15 the following day. I walked out the garage at 7:10 and there he was. Terry and his crew of 2 other gentlemen. We went over everything again that I wanted done. By 12 noon all the sod was removed and the forms set up for concrete. We both agreed to wait until after some pending few days of bad weather to lay the concrete. Monday morning he showed up with his crew of 2 more, and they immediately went to work.

Concrete was poured pretty quickly, but the attention to detail Terry puts in his work is why he's worth dealing with. He took the time to grade the pads along the house to push water away. He also went over each of the 3 pads meticulously to ensure a even surface.

If Angie's List allowed A+++ I'd give it to Terry Austin in a millisecond.

I called Terry on Friday as we had some areas of driveway that had cracked. One area of parking pad had cracked and was falling down. He called back the same day and work began on Monday. Terry looked at situation and made suggestions to keep the problem from happening in the future. He and the crew were very professional. The job was completed on Tuesday. They cleaned everything up and we are very, very pleased.
