    great. (But this is the last time I will respond to a survey on this event. I hate surveys and if anything will drive me away it is a survey. If I didn't like the service I would complain, if I did, then I got what I expected. No need for a feel good survey. But the man for Halifax appliance was a nice professional man so I will write this for him now. But do not darken my door again with yet another Angie's list survey.) thank you

    Tony was great -- I called him at 5pm on Wednesday because the washing machine wouldn't turn on/do anything. He spent more than 5 minutes on the phone with me, walking me through various tricks to get it to work. When none of them helped, he asked if Thursday morning (next day) would work, between 8:00 and 8:30. He showed up at 8:15, and had the washing machine fixed and working within 45 minutes. Highly recommend Halifax Appliance Services! If I need any other appliances repaired, I know who I'm calling first.

    Caution! Mark was v VERY rude to me after I inquired about washing machine repair. See attached screenshot for how he responded to my request for repair, it speaks for itself. Marks behavior is documented by others as well. He made me feel very uncomfortable.

    Excellent service, reasonable price and had part on truck ready to go. Have a lot of confidence in David's abilities, work ethic, and honesty. Was clean, neat and left no work for us to perform when he was finished. Will definitely hire his company in the future when the need arises. Plus, we really like giving our business to Veterans!!!!!!

    I'd had really good service from this repair firm once before. See my previous review about my LG refrigerator. So I didn't hesitate to call Royal for an estimate to fix my LG dryer. It still works manually but won't dry things using any of its preprogrammed settings, most likely a bad sensor. It is still under an extended warranty and I'm required to get an estimate. The person at Royal who handled my call just wasn't nice at all. I realize now that all appliance service companies work the same and that I'll have to pay out of pocket for an estimate and probably it won't be fixed the first time a service person comes out. That will all be covered by my warranty but it was the brusk and impolite manner of the woman at Royal that sent me to Rick's Appliance Repair instead.

    Royal is an approved service provider for LG appliances and they went out of their way to solve a major issue we had with an LG refrigerator. It died twice in a two month period during the second year and Royal tech, Michael, diagnosed it as a leak of refrigerant within the sealed system. That kind of leak is not repairable but LG dragged the process of refunding the cost of this expensive appliance out for a full month. It took three service calls, even one from another service provider for a "second opinion". Then they brought Royal back to perform additional tests and photograph the results. The process was ridiculous and stressful and in the end, LG finally gave us our money back and reimbursed us for lost food items. Royal tech Michael, office manager Michelle, and dispatcher Shelia were professional and yet caring. I would not hesitate to call them for any large appliance repair. They were wonderful!

    After explaining the problem and the cost to repair, we made the decision to buy a new dishwasher. Tony guided us on the pros and cons of various types of dishwashers and recommended brands. His guidance dovetailed with Consumer Reports (you didn't think I wouldn't double-check, did you?). He also put us in touch with a good installer. I definitely will call Tony at Halifax Appliance again.

    Tony McMullin was quick to respond to my phone message regarding my problem with the dishwasher. He estimated a time during the next day that he could check out the machine. He arrived when he said he would and ran some diagnostics and tested circuits to determine what the problem was. As suspected, the heating element was not working so he ordered the part and would be able to install the unit as soon as it was available. While he was at my home I mentioned that the ice maker on my refrigerator was not working and that he might add that to the work to be done when the dishwasher part was in. He decided to look at the refrigerator right then and found that a spring had come loose. He put the spring back in place and said that ice would begin to be dispensed in a short while. He was correct. When he received the heating unit he made arrangements to return to install it. As before, he arrived at the time stated and did the work quickly and neatly. I appreciate his positive attitude and professionalism. I would definitely use his services again if the need arises.

    I had to wait for a few days before he came to fix the stove because he had to order a part. He came out on a Saturday which is normally not a work day for him because we could not use our stove for about a week or so. He fixed the stove, and my wife mentioned that our gas logs in the living room was not working he fixed that as well.

    The service was excellent! Tony was very knowledgeable about the service that needed to be done on our washing machine. He called right back after our initial contact. After hearing about the situation, he set up an appointment and was here when he said he would be which is very important to me. He was fair and very professional! I would recommend him and his company to anyone who needed any appliance work done.
