    Home Owners Services
Excellent work. The quality was superb and the professionalism displayed by Richard and Julio was first class. Although the price was higher than other companies, this is one field where you sometimes get what you pay for, and their work was absolutely superb. Definitely will be working with them in the future.

    The Home People
They were so eager to do the build out and seemed very knowledgeable at first. That changed quickly. They promised in the contract to provide architectural drawings that were needed to get through permitting. Instead gave me some amateur drawings on two pieces of paper stapled together that the city rejected immediately. So it was it was necessary to hire an architect to complete these tasks further increasing the cost of the project for something they were supposed to supply. After getting through the initial part of permitting they began begging for more money. Without having passed an inspection yet, according to the contract payments are made only after the inspections are passed. They were always late for inspection appointments. The inspectors would ask for certain things to be done in order to pass inspection. The main guy Benny would get upset and argue with the inspector shouting and using vulgar language. He wouldn't do what the inspector asked to be done and the next inspection would not pass due to failure to correct those issues (This was a common occurrence). I had to personally show up and go get things from home depot and find people to fix things in order to get my office done. At the end I asked them to fix all the things left so I could move on and open the office. I stated that the joint lines were crooked and that the finish was not acceptable. He called me crazy stating that I needed to pay more if I wanted better work. I replied I shouldn't have to pay more for new matching outlets, new building materials and straight lines and matching paint. I didn't ask for spare parts from old job sites that don't match. He then began to speak about how he does million dollar homes and that nobody complained as of yet and that this is an office and nobody will notice what I see. I also asked to have the place painted one uniform grey color to match the other grey colors they used that didn't match. He stated that if I wanted the place repainted in a uniform color that it was going to be an additional cost associated and that he was not going to do anything else at the job site. He then stopped answering calls and requests to meet to discuss the end of this project. After finally making contact he sent his partner that had not been to the work site since the beginning that knew nothing of the problems or acted like nothing was wrong. He demanded that I pay the full price when the work had not been completed. He stated that they would not give me the signed papers until I paid the full price and insinuated that they would just toss it aside and wait it out. Even though the work was not completed I had no choice but to pay because I needed to open the business. After opening the business I began to find other things that I did not notice. The internet and phone cables were not connected (they were just thrown up in the ceiling). There were 3 electrical outlets that did not work. The exit sign did not work (After being rewired wrongly). I called to ask Benny to fix these items and he stated that he was really busy but he would send an electrician out to fix it and promptly hung up without telling me when. I called back immediately after he hung up and he didn't answer. I called a bunch of times and sent text messages and didn't receive a reply or answer. Finally I had to call an electrician on my own at considerable cost ($1800) to rewire and repair the many things that they failed on.

AA Popcorn Removal & Texture Solutions llc
We were very pleased with the services provided. They were very professional and the house looks amazing. Everything was done same day including removal of popcorn applying of texture and ceiling was painted. To my surprise everything was left clean. Our walls were very uneven from previous wall decor that was removed and you cant even tell after the texture was placed. Everyone has great things to say about how our home looks now, complete facelift. Will recommend.

We were very impressed with the services that we received from Y&D and will definitely use them again in the near future. The company kept us informed and made themselves available for any questions that we had up until the day that the services were completed. Jose arrived on time and worked the entire 8 hours as scheduled. Don't look any further, if you're looking for professionalism, quality work, and promptness Y&D is the way to go.

    Ecclectic Carpentry Inc
The owner, Michael Diaz has a very personable approach which is why I chose him after meeting with 8 other contractors from Angie's "A" list.
The kitchen wall paint looks nice  (painted white per my request).
The floor tile installed in the kitchen looks nice, but there were a few cracked tiles and a few uneven tiles at the kitchen entrance. The dusty film from the grout was not cleaned after tile installation. I had to hire someone to wash the kitchen tiles and tear out and replace the cracked and uneven tiles.
Unfortunately, Mr.Diaz/Majestic Constructors, Inc. dumped left over grout down the kitchen sink after installing the tile.  My family was not staying in the house during the work, so, the grout sat in the sink overnight.  When I noticed the rocks in the sink and garbage disposal the next morning, I contacted the owner, Mr. Diaz and he said the grout was water soluble and shouldn't be a problem. The kitchen sink got clogged. After emailing Mr. Diaz with my concern, he disconnected the sink, but the rocks were never removed from the sink or the drain. I had to hire a plumber to clear the drain, fix the garbage disposal and reconnect the sink.
The paint on the walls of the living room, dining room and the 2 small bedrooms looks nice (all painted white per my request). There were loose floor tiles in some of the areas where the baseboards were removed and replaced. I had to hire someone to reinstall the floor tiles in these areas.
It took me awhile to decide which tile to go with in the bathroom and Mr. Diaz was very patient and kind in giving suggestions and visiting stores to collect the material. My family and I really liked the fact the Mr. Diaz is so personable and wanted to continue to work with him.
The old shower wall tiles, toilet, sink and light fixture were removed by Michael Diaz.
However Mr. Diaz had difficulty installing the 12 in. x 12 in. Mosaic Floor and Wall Tile which resulted in uneven tile cuts and uneven application.
Upon seeing the difficulty Mr. Diaz was experiencing with installing the 12 x 12 mosaic wall tiles, I offered 2 revised proposal options (since I had already prepaid Mr. Diaz over 85% of the cost of the entire job) both proposals offered the opportunity to abandon the bathroom job since it was not going well.
Mr. Diaz submitted a counter proposal offering to hire another contractor to tear out the tiles he had installed and start the bathroom project over, but for an additional cost of a little more than 30% of what the entire job was originally quoted.
I declined to continue the bathroom project with Majestic Constructors, Inc.

    Soares General Services
I requested an estimate to perform ceiling drywall repair and paint in three large rooms/areas. Someone came to my home and left an estimate for painting one room for $500. I called and left numerous messages to speak to someone about the estimate and to provide clarification about what was expected, yet, as of the say of this review, I have not received any returned calls. Wasted my time. I could have spent more time looking for a company that returns calls and attempts to get an understanding of work expectations prior to providing a quote.

Aaron with Clean Cut was not only a pleasure to deal with and very quick to return calls, but he lived up to his company name of Clean Cut throughout the job. He cleaned up each day before leaving and went above and beyond to do more then he quoted in each area of the job. From taking my husband to the local hardware store to pick up some added items needed (my husband alone could not do this), to adding extra trim around an island in the kitchen (because it made it look better & we had the material) at no added charge. I found him to be very generous with his time from the very beginning - taking careful notes when he came to quote the job on what I wanted done and it continued throughout the project. I have had a few handymen come out and start projects (including my husband) that never made it to completion for one reason or another. There were so many on going projects that I needed completion on and Clean Cut was able to handle them all. I will be putting together a second phase to include new siding on my home as well as painting and I will be asking Aaron for that quote.
