    I contacted Harbor Air the Saturday before Xmas and shared the symptoms I was experiencing. The owner, Kendall called me promptly and advised it sounded like my defrost board when bad. He also told me the parts houses would not be open until Wednesday after Xmas. Happily, Kendall called me early this morning, picked up the bad defrost board, which was still under warranty. Went to the parts house, picked up the replacement board and then came right over to replace it. He wasn't even going to charge me for his time, as need lived close by. This didn't sit well with me, so I paid him for his time. I have a good friend that mostly looks after my HVAC needs. But now Harbor Air is my go to when my buddy isn't available.     Bay Area Heating & Cooling installed my daughter���s new air conditioner five years ago. I was extremely pleased with the job they did so, when I needed more work, they were my first call. It was time to replace the obsolete two-zone damper system and thermostats, which takes the air conditioning from one A/C unit and distributes it between two different areas in the house using separate thermostat controls ��� for example, upstairs and downstairs. Despite some compatibility issues, Bay Area Heating & Cooling worked through the problems with dedicated effort. Their honesty, integrity and professionalism impressed me once again. They made sure I was completely happy with their service so I���ll be using them in the future, not only for my daughter���s house, but for mine, too. Highly recommended!

    Extremely well. Technician found an electrical problem that needed to be addressed before installing new unit. I asked for recommendation of electricians and was also very satisfied with their recommendation. I will be calling Amen back to inspect and ultimately install new unit.     I found this company here. They somehow bypassed the security gate and showed up at my door unannounced. The house was hot and they smoked which was beyond inconsiderate. They claimed not to be able to find a problem with the heat and said I would need a separate call for that at another time. I paid $165 to repair a unit under warranty. A few months later when the AC broke again. I found that had broken off the pull string to the attic stairs leaving me no way to get up there. It was a mistake to call this company.

    Poorly. The technician mis-diagnosed this problem as needing a part and estimated $650 repair, paid in advance?! A second opinion revealed he was incorrect and repairs were done for $160. We contacted Bay to Bay who apologized for the error and (at our request) promptly refunded our money via check in the mail.

    I have done business with Air Masters both for my home and my office for a number of years now, so getting good service had become such a routine event that, quite frankly, I had begun to take it for granted. However, I had a recent service experience that was so exemplary, I thought it warranted a public ���pat on the back���. During a recent rainy evening at around 6:00 pm, the air conditioner at my home suddenly stopped working. Between the late hour and the miserable weather, I didn't have much hope that this would be fixed anytime soon. However, with the stifling heat, I thought I would give it a try. The response I got from this company should be studied as a model for service by any organization. On making the call I got a recording that promised a return phone call within 15 minutes. Within 15 minutes a woman from the company returned my call and promised to immediately dispatch one of their technicians to our home that night. A few minutes later she was thoughtful enough to call me back to apologize for the fact that he was still in Tampa on a job and might not arrive until 8:00. In any case, Scott arrived around 7 and by ~7:30 despite the miserable weather he had diagnosed and corrected the problem. As a result, what would have been a miserable night in this heat and humidity, was a much appreciated, comfortable night���s rest. As I said earlier, the biggest problem with this company and their service is that it is so consistently competent, it gets taken for granted and not often enough given the accolades it deserves.
