    Orange Avenue Roofing
I talked to a total of four contractors, one who never got back to me with a plan/price, to address a design flaw on the front of my house that resulted in fairly extensive water damage to an interior bedroom, and front porch.  The prices of the three contractors who got back to me were all similar (which was of course more than I wanted to pay), but Anthony had good Angie's list reviews and seemed to have the best plan to permanently address the drainage, so we decided to go with him.
The work started a couple of weeks later than I would have liked, but that was primarily due to the weather -- it doesn't make much sense to remove a window, even a leaky one, in the rain.  Also, due to a family emergency, I was in and out of town most of the spring and summer and we had some difficulty in arranging a start date.  However, once the work started, it went quickly, and I was very pleased with the quality.  The window and sill look perfect.  The sheetrock in the bedroom and the exterior stucco match nicely--you can't tell its a repair.  I could see a line caused by different "knock down" patterns between the original and the replacement on my porch ceiling, and Wade came out to fixit right away.  Most importantly, there do not seem to be any more leaks and the small balcony that had been collecting water drains well.  So far, so good.
I will definitely call Orange Avenue next time I have a need for a home contractor.

Customer service rep came out to see what we were interested in and schetch out some drawings.  We asked if we could have roof over one part, and if the screened above area could be completed so rain could not come in.  The rep said yes, we could have Florida glass placed and it would keep the rain out.  Lesson learned, Florida glass is not glass but a screen that has a barrior that prevents rain and debris to enter.  If I knew this, I would have had the whole thing roofed in or just screened.  i also stated we needed to have the concrete to reach to the door (we had a deck currently that went all the way to the door) since there is someone in the house that has a bad leg and sometimes has trouble lifting it, so it would be easy for them to get inside.  The rep stated no problem.
Paid Florida Energy Home Products first payment and concreter came out and pour flooring, had some issues with cracking even before the porch/screen workers came out.  No one called to set up concrete work, just showed up.Since I am new to this process I did not know to wait for paperwork stating the concrete crew was paid before I paid for next step. The concrete was also not level to the door as requested.  The concrete staff left without having anyone check the completed job.  No one from the company came out to check before the screen/porch crew came out to take care of any issues we may have had. Screen/porch crew came out and even they said the concrete was not well done and he would pass the information on to the rep also.  They put up I guess the started on the first part (aluminum) and then called it a day, did not let us know they were done or when they would be back. Next day they came back and completed the aluminum part (took down existing gutters to replace with center drain) and put up roof part.
Again left without letting us know when they would be back.  Several weeks went by, with us calling and we were told there are other jobs and no one has had time to come back out.  Finally after tons of calls from us, the crew came back out and completed the screening and Florida screening.  We have had since then considerable leaking in spots, the drain was not put back on securely, and the Florida screen had massive puddles weighing down the screened roof.
the communication and service even went further down hill after that.  Continually calling them with no response, my partner finally drove out to see them.  The owner Steve and Tony wrote down every concern and said it would be taken care of.  The concrete guy still had not been paid and Steve said he would not pay until concrete was fixed.  Set up an appointment (my partner took off from work) to meet with the screen guy Mike to correct leaking areas.  After an hour waiting the company was called and Tony said he must be running late and surely was on the way.  Find out after calling back the screen guy said he came over earlier and caulked the area of leak (how he knew where it was leaking I have no clue, since we had photos to show him).  The screen guy said he was over at 12Noon (appt was at 1pm), but my partner was there exactly at 11:54.  When this was mentioned to the rep after he finally answered the phone, he basically called my partner a liar and that he believed his screen guy.  Finally he called and the screen guy said, oh it must have been earlier.  When the rep and owner were asked why he did not come at scheduled time, we were told, he must have finished his other job earlier.  Of course no one called us to check if we could be home.  So, none of the leaks were fixed and the gutter was never secured. After weeks, going on month, the screen guy came out and removed the florida screen (it was frozen puddles) and replaced it with regular screen, he secured the one gutter, but never fixed the leak or door.  Concrete guy has still never been paid and we now have a lien on the house.  The door is still bad, we stil have a leak and have never received any type of communication about an electrian.  Of course the way things are going now, I am not even sure we want their electrician to touch out house.  The company has been paid for all but $400.00 and not only has done a terrible, shabby job but their communication has been nill.  And the job has still not been corrected nor completed.  We have filled a BBB submission since the company has a BBB accredited business and they have not responded to there submission.I just do not want someone else to fall into this horror trap that we are in and want to get the word out that they are a F- is every part of their business dealings.
