Concrete Repair reviews in Ocala

    Kevco Builders Inc
Good over job. They even had to deal with a difficult roofer that I hired before I found out that I was going to need a general contractor. There was a problem with the concrete slab pour but they made sure it was fixed once I pointed out the problem.

    Caruthers Concrete Service
Caruthers Concrete came out immediately (unlike others) to give me a proposal for the work to be done. Mr. Caruthers was prompt and very polite. His proposal was very fair as well. About 3 weeks after the slab was poured, my wife and I noticed that the concrete was developing a small web of cracks that extended from end to end. We called Mr. Caruthers and he came out promptly to assess the situation. To our surprise, he offered to repair or replace the slab. For fear that the cracks would worsen even if repaired, we opted to have the slab replaced. I am certain that no other concrete contractor would have stood behind his work as Mr. Caruthers did. We were prepared to hear the standard answer of "concrete cracks. Thankfully, we didn't have to stress because he's not your usual contractor. I know that replacing our slab had to cost him a pretty penny but he didn't even bat an eye to satisfy a customer. He is a stand-up individual and deserves your trust for your next project that requires concrete work. I will always speak his praises. What a great job!

    Pinson Concrete
Scheduled an appointment with this company and they never showed.  Contacted them approximately 1.5 hrs after the scheduled appointment via email and no response.  Tried again 3.5 hrs after and still no response.  Lack of response and not showing up to a scheduled appointment is very disrespectful!

Used Jody Wilson for installation of soffit panels at location of new addition.  After calling and speaking with Mike we added a screen wall to the front of the home and gutters at the front and back with (4) downspouts total.
Work was done in a timely manner and in general conformance with our meetings and discussions.
There were a few minor issues with the downspout installation which needed correction, and this is where it got a little odd.  I called Mike to let him know that there were items which needed to be corrected and never got a call back.  I called several times over two months (without paying of course) and they still had not called back.  Finally called their office and Jody picked up, I relayed my concerns and he was on-site on the same day and had the problem corrected within a week.
Really like the work, I am very pleased and I would certainly use them again, but understand they may not be exceptionally quick to answer the phone.  Moral of the story, don't pay until the work is complete.

In January of 2013 Production Concrete, owned by Thad Szudlarek, poured a concrete parking pad at our residence. After two years the concrete showed signs of perimeter erosion. In another six months the erosion worsened and is now a pothole, 12"Lx3"Wx1/2"D. Three separate attempts to contact the Production Concrete owner, Thad Szudlarek, to resolve the erosion issue were unsuccessful as he ignored requests to come out and discuss the situation. He did, however, contact a concrete expert who came out in early August of 2015 to review the situation. His assessment is the erosion results from poor workmanship where the concrete was "overworked" which caused the aggregate to sink and water to rise. This water layer is what is eroding and significantly reducing the life expectancy of the concrete pad. Since the issue is a result of poor workmanship Production Concrete, owned by That Szkudlarek, should fix the problem. To date Thad Zskudlarek continues to ignore the situation.

Randy originally put in our concrete patio approximately 3 years ago and did a fantastic job but after the work was done we noticed every time we had our sprinkler system on, sand came up by the back door of our lanai. We realized that apparently there was a sprinkler head there that was never discovered by us or Randy when putting in the patio. We had just purchased the home right before Randy put in the original patio and the previous owner had evidently buried the sprinkler head and placed stepping stones on top that no one was aware that it was there. So Randy came out and gave us a quote to remove a portion of the concrete slab, but when he tried to cap off the sprinkler head he found that it had been jimmy rigged with rubber hose so he had to cut out the sprinkler head and replace the tubing instead. Once done new concrete was poured and patio slab complete. Randy is a great guy and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs concrete work done. Thanks again Randy for a great job well done.!

    Citrus Brick Service
Worked around our mutual schedules to provide services when and as needed.   Work was timely, professionally done, and outstanding in terms of workmanship.  Provided materials unique and necessary for his aspects of his work.   Work crews were well staffed, proficient and worked until the days work was accomplished, irrespective of the time.     His price for the job was both reasonable and substantially lower than several other bidders, despite substantial travel  required.

    Jody Wilson Construction INC
I thought it went well. Then one of the door kits failed and I have been calling for over a month to get it repaired. This company is not even returning my phone calls. I was going to hire them to replace all the screens in my lanai (est. $3300) but not now. I will never hire this company again.

    Central Florida Curb Appeal
Came and gave estimate. Decided on date to do work. Arrived on date early and did great job. Had sufficient help and equipment to do the job. Price was exactly what he said it would be. Gave him a check and he was gone. He gave instructions on how to keep pets off the newly made curbs, how to turn off lawn sprinklers for the day to avoid damaging the new curbs.
Very professional and pleasant to work with. Highly recommend.
