  • Great until I needed to terminate the contract early - their contract is for an automatic 5 year period, I am moving out of state and have 4 years remaining on the contract and they will not let me out of it so I am on the hook for about $2000 over the next 4 years. I cannot believe there is no early termination clause - I find this to be terrible customer service and a lousy business practice and would not do business with them again.

  • So far, I'm very impressed with the Frontpoint technology and service. Despite spending a long time activating the service and the camera over the phone due to technical difficulties on my end, the process went very smooth. Service was very cordial and patient!

  • Dynamark pre-wired our new home for security and a couple rooms of speakers.  I had intended from the beginning to reach out to them regarding installing some in-ceiling speakers and when I spoke with Shawn, he also let me know about their security system offerings.  I had already scheduled an install with ADT, but Shawn was able to meet ADT's install price and offer monthly monitoring that was far less than ADT.  The installers they sent for both the speakers and the alarm system were great.  The alarm took a while to install, but I'm very happy with the result.  It is very simple to operate and the alarm.com product Dynamark uses for remote monitoring and management is fantastic.  Glad I chose Dynamark over ADT!

  • Very easy to install. A minor glitch that they do not tell you is that if you don't subscribe to monitoring there is no way to have the system notify you in case of a break-in. I will keep it as a deterrent as it will sound an alarm but if it doesn't notify you what good is it. Just another company selling monitoring.

  • The equipment seems to work properly and it was easy to install.  My only complaint is the cell phone app is a little bit glitchy and it needs improvement.  When I turn the app on and my cell phone signal is not good, it will start to error out and then it won't work and I have to restart my phone and then it starts working again.

  • There was a slight delay in getting the system installed because I wanted four of the cameras upgraded and the specific models were not in stock.  The crew arrived around 10:00 am, and were finished around 3 pm.  They installed 8 cameras around the house on the outside, ran the wires from the camera to the DVR, connected the system to the internet and my internal LAN, and focused the cameras to see the areas I wanted.
    A week after the cameras were installed, my house suffered a lightning strike that destroyed two TVs and three of the cameras.  they ordered replacement cameras and gave me a decent discount.  They installed the new cameras for me.
    We have been very pleased with the service and would recommend them to anyone.

  • They came with some of the wrong equipment the first time and the tech was not able to integrate the correct equipment in a timely manner and told me that the equipment was not able to do what I wanted it to do. They returned a second time a month later again with the wrong equipment. At that point I told them I wanted a refund on the products that were not installed. I was told that the refund would take 3 to 5 business days. The refund never came and I followed up with them every week from October until January 1. Finally after threatening to discontinue service they mailed me a refund check. | |Their sales staff is professional, friendly, and knowledgable. | |The technical install team is polar opposite. | |The customer service team is professional, friendly and eager to help. Unfortunately it appears that they have their hands tied on several more advanced requests such as refunds. | |Based upon my experience I would not suggest ADT to friends and Family. They are the biggest and oldest in the business however my experience has made me look for alternative providers.

  • Things went very well. He installed everything as he described during the consultation. It took about 4 hours for the installation because it was only one guy. We had no issues with that since he worked around our schedule. His price was great. We loved the fact that it is only a 6 month contract.
    We only needed one keypad since there is an APP the system.
    We have tripped the system at least 3 times. We get a call very quickly from the dispatch.
    I definitely recommend Marvin.

  • I have had an ADT system for about one and a half years.  I had requested that some changes be made to my system they were very quick to take the money however they were slow to complete the work.  After one month and 3 appointments they still had not completed the work with the proper equipment.  Finally on October 25th I asked them to cancel the unfinished changes which they did.  They owed me a balance of $500 which they told me would be deposited in to my account within 5 to 10 business days.  It is now December 31 and after 10 phone calls to ADT the money is still not in my account.  I still get the same story that it will be in my account in 5 to 10 business days.
    I am very upset because the only people I can talk with are low level employees that are not able to help me.  They refuse to let me talk with any manager or anyone who can tell me why this has not been resolved.
    I am canceling my account with ADT as soon as I find a new provider, and if my money is not returned to me I will have no choice but to pursue legal action.

  • FrontPoint makes it easy to purchase its products and services. All sales are handled over the phone, so you don't have to worry about opening your home to door-to-door sales people. In the past, I've always felt leery of door-to-door security-alarm representatives. Why should I trust a stranger; they could be anyone.  And that's not the kind of feeling I want when purchasing a security system for my home.  Besides the initial purchase call, I've called the company two other times.  Every person I spoke with was highly professional and polite.  It seems as if the employees I spoke with had similar training because they all handled the conversation in the same manner and protocol.
    I really like the products FrontPoint provides.  They were easy enough to install, although it will take you longer than 15 minutes - like its website proclaims.  The door and window sensors are small enough so that you don't notice them, which is nice.  And although they are in place using double-sided tape, they have held up quite well.  After awhile the system's chimming every time a door or window was opened got really annoying.  But you have the option of turning it off. 
    I have two small negatives about the system.  One, like the chimming I mentioned above, every time the alarm is armmed or disarmmed the control panel beeps.  And it is loud!  I would like the option of silencing or turning the volume down on it.  Perhaps that option exists and I don't know about it, but it does annoy me.  Second, I've experienced a false alarm.  The alarm woke me up in the wee-small hours one morning.  It turned off on its own and a minute later the siren went off again, but that time I had to disarm it.  No windows or doors were open nor was there broken glass, so I called the company to ask why my system had signaled for an alarm.  I thought perhaps the smoke/heat/carbon monoxide sensor had been tripped.  But they said they saw no flags on their end - which lead them to the only answer, "It must have been a glitch".  It was scary to go through, but I'd much rather have an alarm and be alerted than sleep through something terrible. 
    For me, the benefits outweigh the cons.  And I am very happy I chose FrontPoint.
