It's a very small animal hospital. He is absolutely the most wonderful vet I've ever used and I've had a lot of cats in the last 36 years. He is super nice. He's great with the human clients and with the animals. The people in his office are very nice. They've all been there many years. The one who's been there the least amount of time has been there 11 years. He was just great with my animals.

I have a great vet. I've been using him for probably 20 years. His name is Joseph Horty and the name of the business is Animal Clinic of Ives Dairy Road. The bill came to a $750. His price is reasonable. I've been to vets who charge you $200 for walking through the door, he's not like this. It's a very small animal hospital. I have a little 2 pound dog, I don't know what he ate but he was in critical condition. I didn't know if he was going to survive but I stayed overnight and they gave him I.V and all that stuff. They had to do a lot of tests to figure out what it was. He is living, so I feel confident in what he does and that was a while ago. That was my first encounter with him because I think I even saw him take his dogs there. He was very courteous. The day that I brought the dog home, he would call to check on how the dog was doing.

I've been going to this vet for about 4-5 years now. This has to be one of the best vet's office in town. The vets who work here are all about the care and treatment of the animals. They are not out to rip you off or tell you your pet needs some sort of treatment or medical procedure that's unnecessary. They are no frills... seriously. They don't have a computer (at least not the last time i went) nor do they have a modern cash register, they keep all your pets medical history written on index cards, and there was a time when they did not accept credit cards or checks, only cash (they now accept credit cards).
This is not a big, fancy vet office. It's fairly small, run-down and most of the time a chaotic scene because of the crowd and barking dogs. Those who don't have appointments usually start lining up 1/2 - 1 hour before the doors open so they can get in to see the doctors. Expect the wait to be very long if you don't have an appointment. But the wait is worth it for me. The girls at the front desk and the vet assistants are great. I'm amazed at how the girl at the front desk can handle so much commotion (LOL)... bless her heart.
I don't just love this place because their prices are affordable, I love it because I know they truly care about treating your pet in the most efficient manner possible so you don't have to come back a 2nd or 3rd time with the same issue. The only downside is trying to get them on the phone. Like I said they are usually swamped so sometimes I have to call several times before I can get through to anyone to either make an appointment or ask a question. Best time to call is just before they close when it gets a little calmer.

Bottom line is Bild Animal Hospital is a no-frills, not-so-fancy vets office that provides Grade "A" service at a very affordable price.

It went very well he gave us as much time and attention as we needed, we never felt rushed. He is highly  knowledgeable and very experienced in vet medicine.  We never felt that he was trying to push us into purchasing anything and we truly felt he wanted the same thing that we want which is the best health for our senior dog. Its easy to see that he loves animals .We have been to him before and would not hesitate to return.

I want to add the price above was for the office visit only and did not include tests and medicines.

Dr. Cooper, Dr. Gouzopoulos and all of the Vet Techs that make up the team at Sky Lake Animal Hospital are absolutely wonderful.  They have cared for my rescue dog, Barney from the day I adopted him, as well as my first Scottish Terrier before that, until the day Dr. Cooper had to put her to sleep after numerous issues related to old age and recurring cancer.
Dr. Cooper is the most knowledgeable veterinarian I have used in more than 20 years of dog ownership. He is extremely advanced in his very impressive training and experience, incredibly caring and a true expert, not only in day-to-day care, but in advanced and specialty cases.  Plus, if he does not know the answer, he has a very strong network of specialists that he calls upon for help in solving even the toughest of cases.
Dr. Cooper consistently goes above and beyond what you expect from even the best veterinarians.  In fact, he freely gave me his cell phone number and has always been available to me at night and on weekends - even when he is on vacation and traveling with his family.  He even met me at his office one night at 9 PM when my poor Barney was throwing up continuously.
When I adopted Barney he had been rescued by Miami-Dade County from a terrible puppy mill.  Barney was kept in a cage his entire life and in addition to other issues, he suffers from Inflammatory Bowel Disease, which we discovered thanks to Dr. Cooper's network of experts.  He wasn't able to digest his food and was suffering.  But, thanks to Dr. Cooper, Barney is a healthy, happy and relatively symptom-free little boy.
The entire team at Sky Lake is amazing.  Every single Vet Tech and Receptionist treats my dog as if he were their own - they even babysit him for me because they know that he is uncomfortable being left alone.  And, they graciously put up with my "craziness" as a very over-protective dog mom!
I trust Dr. Cooper and everyone at Sky Lake completely and recommend this animal hospital to every pet lover!

The staff and physicians were very professional. I had been searching for an orthopedic to perform the TPLO surgery my dog required. I was quoted a price from my veterinarian of a surgeon he recommended. I decided to do a search on Angie's list for one closer to where I live. I found Hollywood Animal Hospital, which is very close to me. I saw that it had many good reviews so I did some research. I decided to bring my dog for a consultation. I met with Dr. Jon Dee and Dr. Johnathan Arango who explained the procedure and recovery. They also went over the price for the surgery. The price quoted was considerably better than the other. I also felt more comfortable with the level of experience Dr. Jon Dee has performing this type of surgery. The procedure went well and its going on 3 weeks since. She will be still recovering for a while, but I am very happy with the results so far.

I have a 20 year old Jack Russell terrier with borderline Cushing's disease. Dr. Josie is treating her in my home with Chinese herbs. My regular vet had no treatment for her condition as the test was borderline. Dr. Josie's treatment has provided her a better quality of life. I also have a 13-year-old Labrador retriever with a spinal cord injury and laryngeal paralysis. Dr. Josie is treating him in my home with acupuncture, prescription meds and over-the-counter medications. My dog enjoys the acupuncture treatments and they relax him a great deal. He has remained pain-free during his year of treatment by Dr. Josie without the use of pain meds. Dr. Josie is also treating a neighbors young dog for severe allergies. She treats the dog in my home during my regular visit so my young neighbor can avoid paying travel charges. Dr. Josie has dramatically improved the quality of life for my dogs at the end of their lives and extended their lives.

They are awesome! They are really good with the animals and they are really well informed. They can answer all your questions and they give you a lot of choices. Their price is a little high but I think it's worth it.

He is wonderful. I love him. I have more than one dog and he only charges me for one. He will work very diligently to found out what is wrong with the dog. The office environment itself is not all that impressive, but he is extremely good vet. He is very economical. He has saved one of my dogs several times. He is very loving and caring towards animal. I wish I could find a doctor for myself like him.
