Fence Company reviews in Nocatee

    Fencescape llc.
I did a lot of research before I found Fencescape. I originally looked in the local mailer magazines and called around. I received a few estimates. The first company spelled my name wrong and thought I was a woman. They seemed to have more important things going on. Another told me they didn't have time to come out to my house due to how busy they always are and would would not be able to give me an estimate. I really got the feel that for the majority of the contractors that it was about quantity, while quality was no where to be found. Upon later discovering all of the poor reviews amongst those same contractors in BBB as well as Google, I decided to try Angie's List.
From Angie's list, I had already called two or three fence contractors and gotten nowhere, when I finally called Fencescape. Wayne Jimerson not only actually answered the phone, but told me he could be at our home in 10 minutes. This is exactly what I was looking for. Upon meeting Wayne, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and gave me a fair price. He also told me that they built their fences completely onsite (which was the opposite of the pre-built quantity contractors), and that they reinforced their wood gates with metal that prevented sagging. The posts would be set in concrete, and they wanted our job. This was a winner. Finally, someone that made our request feel valued.
It took about three weeks before we could build due to needing approval from our HOA and Fencescape fitting our job into the schedule. The build itself took a 2-man crew, two days. One day to set the posts in concrete and install the runners, and a second day for the slats. They were at our house at 6:30 each day, and completely gone when I got home from work at 4:00pm.
The finished product is exactly what we were looking for - a quality job. The fence is built exactly to the specifications of our site survey; while the gate is solid as a rock. I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. I would highly recommend Fencescape to anyone looking for a "quality" new fence at a great price.

Came out promptly to estimate.  Explained options.  Ordered gate as discussed. Everything went as originally planned and on schedule.  Workman who installed was professional, efficient and  pleasant.  Finished project looks great and is just what I wanted.

    Sciarratta & Son Home Improvements
Dennis initially seemed reliable via another job he had performed for me.  So, when he promised me and my husband that he had the capability to remove and replace our hardwood floors, we decided to hire him.  Big mistake.  It became evident early on that he did not have the proper equipment and was not willing to obtain it.  We addressed his work ethic with him as well.  He generally only worked 3 - 4 hours daily.  This was difficult for us because of the amount of chaos and dust it created in our living space for weeks on end.
They made the cardinal mistake of not prepping our sub-floor adequately.  If they are not leveled perfectly, the subsequent result is an uneven surface.  We addressed this concern with him as well - I brought out my leveler and showed him the flaws.  He guaranteed us that "everything would even out" within a few weeks.  After 4 weeks of this mess, we decided to trust him that it would in fact "even out".
Unfortunately, our new wood floors are now terribly uneven and make an insane amount of noise when we walk on them.  After my third request, he and his son, Ryan, did in fact come back to my house and admitted that their lack of leveling had caused the problem.  He then told me that he would return to fix the problem.
Apparently, he had decided to completely abandon my floors since I had already paid him. I tried once again to communicate with him in a respectful manner.  He then began to send me lewd texts and unprofessional texts.  Of course, I have saved these and will be using them in the future.
I have obtained two different quotes and looks like it will cost me $4 - 5K to fix the problem Dennis and Ryan caused me.
Lesson learned: stay away from this contractor!

    Daniel L Darmata Inc
We researched many companies before settling on Darmata Fencing. We had about 4 company reps come over to provide us estimates. When Mr. Darmata came over he really took his time to go through all the details. He gave us the options that were available to us given the HOA restrictions. He gave us his views on what would look the best given the yard we had. We really felt that he was telling us accurate information and not just trying to sell us the most expensive installation.
Although he wasn't the least expensive (it was close), he really worked with us to get us to within our budget. It was worth the extra money knowing that his team would do the job.
When the team got here they were very efficient. They were able to get the job done before I got back from work. The fencing looked really good and solid. We have had it for almost six months and we are still very happy with it.

    FencePro, Inc.
I originally got the quote from Fencepro in April and the quote was still good when we were finally able to do the work in Aug.  In the meantime, he had called a couple of times just to check on the status of the project (having other work done in back yard before could put up fence).  He was not pushy, very professional.  When the time finally came for the fence, they came within 3 days and put the fence up in one day (not a big back yard).  They were very polite, removed all the debris, and did a great job!

    Best Fence Jacksonville
Jimmy Jones and Best Fence did a wonderful job. Jimmy came out to take measurements and show us brochures with their products. They handled all the paperwork for our homeowners association as far as getting the proper approval for our fence. They worked with us as far as dates and gave us a very fair price. All work was done in a timely fashion and with quality results. We are extremely pleased with the job and would highly recommend them for anyone.

    Best Fence Jacksonville
I live in a new community development in this area, and heard that Best Fence was offering a discount for new homeowners in this community. I needed a specific style of metal fencing in order to (1) satisfy HOA/ARB requirements and (2) satisfy county swimming pool codes since I was planning to install a pool in the near future. I had not even moved into the home yet, and their sales representative came out and met with us for an estimate and actually showed up at the scheduled time (and you know that's a shocker for anyone with a relatively new home because that almost NEVER happens!). The estimate was handled very professionally, and the price was far better than the installer the builder/HOA was recommending. They also coordinated with our next-door neighbor to make sure that our separate fence installation was joined properly for aesthetic reasons, as well as to keep the HOA/ARB happy. Best fence handled all HOA/ARB related issues -- we just provided them with the required forms. The installation went without a hitch, and they even offered several suggestions on the placement of the two gates so we could make better use of them. On a side note, I got an entertainment "kick" out of one of the installers looking like a miniature Hulk Hogan -- made me do a double-take! There's an additional part to this story that shows the level of professional of this company. Eight months later, we get a notice from the HOA that says one side of our fence is approximately 1-2 feet outside of our property line and into the common area behind our home. Apparently the rather small photocopy of the site survey that we provided to them did not show a slight curve in the property line as well as a larger survey print would have. The HOA/ARB had already performed a final inspection on this fence 8 months prior and approved the fence installation as-is. Best Fence could have easily taken that stance and refused to move the fence at such a late date or could have charged us for moving it. They spoke with a senior HOA representative and came to a resolution that they would move the fence, and did it without charging the HOA or me. I am sure a predominate reason they did it was to get future neighborhood business through the HOA/ARB, but I think it illustrates that this is a smart company with the business savvy to know that their customers' HOA/ARB's have to be kept happy in order to keep their customers happy. On a side note while the team was out moving the fence, they broke a sprinkler pipe. Not only did they repair the pipe, but when the went to turn off the water at the valve box, they discovered a rather nasty and aggressive cotton mouth (snake) in the box. I had a pole snare, but couldn't get a good grab on this snake. Once of the workers snagged it and relocated it in a street sewer a safe distance from the property. Talk about above and beyond the call of duty! Snake charming services for free!
