    Patrick did a great job on an 800 sq ft room addition. His work was excellent and he stayed in budget. I made many changes throughout the process and he worked with me patiently with each one. Patrick is very honest and trustworthy (traits that are sometimes hard to find in a contractor). He and his team (specifically Juan) were a pleasure to work with. I look forward to working with them again on future home improvement projects.

    From start to finish, Chris Barnhardt of Barnhardt Construction LLC. demonstrated he could get the job done, and done right. Overseeing all aspects of construction from the architectural design right down to the demolition, Chris was there every step of the way. He was timely and professional throughout the entire process, and the end result was nothing short of outstanding. He quoted me a fair price for the work and followed up with an honest and steadfast effort. I applaud Chris and his team for their efforts and I can't wait to work with them again when we open a second location in the near future.

    This company cut the grass in our neighbors yard. The grass had not been cut for some time and they used a commercial lawn mower that blew mounds of grass onto our property and into our truck. We spoke to one of the crew and they were rude and dismissive. We did finally make them move some of the shredded paper from our yard, that they had mowed over, but they left piles of grass clippings and shredded paper in the neighbors yard which will eventually blow into other yards. Very poor business practice and extremely poor customer service. I strongly recommend no one use this company and I can see why they have no history on Angie's List.

    When asked to give an estimate for deck repairs they were unable to list what was to be done and give a total price. They stated it would take approx. 2 days , with two workers, at $85.00 an hour. When I questioned why they couldn't give me a total cost they stated they would not know till it was done. If I am having a repair done, I want to know what the cost is going to be before I have it done.

    We had them do a full build out on our business and once we signed the lease it took two and a half months for them to get their permit. We were told we would then be open no later than November 1st, we didn't officially open up until late the night of December 27th, after having at least ten different opening dates after November 1st. There were permitting issues, scheduling issues, employee issues, and a lot of other unfortunate circumstances that caused us to open up almost two months after we were told we would be able to. We have thousands in lost revenue from not opening on time, paid equipment and rent payments from when they were still not completed. It was unfortunate the way everything happened, and the quality of the work was significantly different from our first space that he did. There are a lot of mistakes that we will still have to hire someone to get redone. After a horrible and stressful experience we got a huge invoice which should have been thousands less. Most quoted prices were not honored (got raised thousands at final invoice) and demanded payment immediately or threatened with a lien (that way you'll make sure to quickly pay). I would recommend not paying by time and material because you'll end up paying a lot more than you should. The billing department should itemize bills and document more frequently (we had a lot of mistakes on our invoices). This overall build out was the most stressful and frustrating experience. I would not want to see anyone else ever have to experience what we went through.

    I live in an HOA with an ARC (Architectural Review Committee). I needed some additional storage space and decided small lean-to was the best solution. After getting approval from the ARC, I investigated doing the bulk of the construction myself. Immediately, I determined it would be tough to get the required permits in a timely manner. Additionally, the one quote I received for pouring the required slab was very high. My draftsman suggested I speak with Bill Bennett at Alpha Contracting. From the beginning, Bill was very responsive, returning all calls almost immediately. Bill provided an estimate and stuck to it. Bill was also able to secure the necessary permitting in just one day. Even though this was a very small structure (8' x 7') there were several subs involved. Each sub showed up exactly when I was told they would and performed their jobs properly and professionally. Only the stucco sub was delayed, but that was mostly due to weather conditions. It's tough to find an honest and reliable contractor. I'm very satisfied with my experience with Alpha Contractors.

    We had them come out for home and pool repair, and other random repairs. They managed project well from beginning to end. They provided their own sub-contractors that were on time, clean, neat, and very professional.

    Goliath Construction
    Contract was accepted by me for Goliath Construction prepared by Gateway Design in May 2010. Work was to begin on June 14 2010 and completed by July 5 2010. I was to have my kitchen completely demolished and ready. I did so. Shortly after the demo, I was informed by Goliath that they could not do the job for that contract price. I was at their mercy since I had the kitchen demolished and had NO KITCHEN. I agreed tp the additional amount and another contract was done, I was requested to sign the contract but they always had an excuse not to give me a copy. Work did not start as promised and we were running out of time due to a big family affair I was having. One day a crew came in to do work. and the nightmare really started. Crew of tile installers, drywall, painters, electrician etc. The tile installer turned on my AC to below 70 degrees with a ceiling opened up and no protection of the rest of the home, The construction dust went through my entire home into every inch of everything plus the air went right out the open ceiling creating an electric bill of over $300.00. They also plugged my frig with food into a dead outlet spoiling all my food. The electrician made all kinds of excuses as to why he could not put the switches and outlets and lights where they were suppose to be. The floor tile had uneven grout lines and the grout was piled in areas and under grouted in other areas. The ceiling has holes for the can lights cut much larger than the light fixtures. The outlets and switches are crooked. The electrician hooked up my NEW stove and crosswired it causing it to break when I went to use it. The baseboard and trim have nail holes and not filled and sanded. The door was painted with the door knob on it and painted around it and got paint all over the weather stripping. Then I was told the windows they ordered that took three weeks to come in were damaged and they could not complete the job. I saw the windows and there was nothing wrong with them, it was an excuse to stop the job for a few weeks to do another one that paid them more money. Some rich guy per the owner of Goliath Construction and another job that was big money since it was an insurance job. I begged them to get the job done and done right. In the meantime, they kept hounding me for more money. Being desperate to get the job done, I agreed to give them more money if they would agree to my concerns in writing and also put a re-start date and a completion date, That was done and it was agreed. That day came and went and NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED. Now I have an incomplete job, out of pocket all money with exception of about $2500.00 and NO SHOW NO CALL. I guess I am BEAT and this company is licensed and insured. BIG DEAL. My kitchen is functional but that is all. I can not explain the horrible quality of work from this company as of now.

    So far excellent. Not complete but almost and the best contractor I ever dealt with or ever heard of anyone else ever dealing with. I can not say enough just how great this contractor is. The most honest, best quality work, keeps me informed on every issue. Listens to me and makes changes as requested without a problem. Looks to save me money where and when he can. He gives me more than we contracted for. His subs are watched every bit they do. He actually cares more than I do about little things. He does not hound me for money. His subs are pleasant and also do a great job. He handled issues with Pasco County Building Dept with all his own time and Pasco County was horrible to deal with. Greg got everything taken care of.
