    They have don't emergency service for us when they have done repair work. They have come at night, and have been there in an hour. It took about an hour and only one person came out. They left the area clean.

    The service was okay. It went pretty well. We ended up paying more for some other service that I was not happy with, but my husband thought it was necessary. I personally was not impressed. He was tardy, but he called so that was fine. He notified us of where he was and all of that. He was professional.

    Rob introduced himself, told me what was going to be done, and explained things as he was going along. He said mine was an older system, but everything checked out well, except for a slight noisy fan outside, probably due to age, but nothing wrong with system. I was concerned, due to the fact that I had recently bought my condo, and wanted piece of mind with this system. A job well done by Air Repair Heating And Cooling Inc .

    It was BAD, they technician came out saying that they were here is service my HVAC system. I told them no I called for you to give me an estimate.
    He said well you owe me for a service call!
    I said no, you are here to give me an estimate, he gave me an estimate that was twice as much as any others.
    THEN THE WORST PART IS NOW I AM ON THERE COMPUTER MARKETING. I HAVE BEEN GETTING MARKETING CALLS FROM THEM ALMOST EVERY DAY, IT IS A REAL PAIN.

    Dereck came out on the 20th to check my system just 30 min after my call. He diagnosed the problem and arrange to come back on the 21st with the parts to repair the system. The dryer on my a/c seemed to have been clogged. He did a professional and quick job. I highly recommend him to anyone. A good job at a good price.

    I was very disappointed with the lack of response and willingness to promote good customer relations by Marlin James. I was very patient thru all of the delays. The reason I asked that the price be reduced is because:
    1) motor bearings should last for decades not just months.
    2) I was only 4 months past the 1 year labor warranty.
    3) I feel that if the motor bearing failed this quickly, it probably was defective to begin with.
    4) The installation of a new motor was a very simple and fast installation and took about 20 minutes.
     
    The 2 times the tech was at my house I was charged $225... which was reduced $50 by the use of 2 Angie's List coupons for a final tally of $175 for less than 1 hours time.

    A few years ago, I purchased a model home. I got a 5 year extended warranty on my HVAC. The downstairs unit needed repair, and the service guy determined that I had a leaking coil.  I was charged $178 for the day for them to diagnose and add coolant. While scheduling the appointment, there was no time-frame window provided; they let me know what day they would be there & called half an hour before arriving. Even though the part was covered under warranty, they wanted to charge me $618 to replace it for LABOR ALONE! I said to just give me the part since it was under warranty but they wouldn?t do that. 



    A few hours later, I received a phone call from Del-Air and we argued about the cost of repair.  She told me, "It is what it is.  It's the standard repair cost."   When I asked her how long it would take to complete this repair, she told me 150 minutes, which equates to $247.20 an hour for labor alone!  I asked her if her all her techs were getting this as an hourly wage.  She refused to answer.  I requested to speak to a manager, who then supposedly went home for the day.  I was then offered their "corporate rate", which would give me a 15% discount.  This brought it down to $525, which is still approx. $210/hr for labor.  It's obvious, that despite the warranty, they are charging an outrageous rate of labor in an attempt to get the consumer to pay for the cost of the item also.  I contacted several other companies and the going rate of labor is between $65-85/hr.   In those calls, I found a company that would do the entire job, also PAYING for the part for a total of $250.  Del-Air obviously is not honoring their warranties and overcharging for labor.  They need to be exposed.
