I've been to a lot of clinics (including Mid Florida Eye Center) and they all got me in there very quickly for the eye exam but I already knew that I have cataracts and I needed them taken off. I understand these doctors only do one eye at a time during cataract surgery but the surgery only takes 15 minutes on each eye. They can do four or five surgeries a day easily and yet they stretch it out to a month and a half before they get me through the surgery and followup exams. It's just ridiculous to me and I'll get my eyes done wherever I can get it done in a reasonable amount of time. That's the reason why I didn't go through with any of them for my surgery. They're all okay as far as their office staff is concerned.

Overall it was good, the staff were all very friendly and very nice, the office very nice and very clean. The doctor as I said was rather brusk...he talked to the assistant in the room with his back to me asking her questions that he should have been asking me...as if I wasn't even in the room...not used to that!

My appt. was for 3:30. When I arrived, on time, the receptionist, a different one, barely looked at me after I signed in and asked me for my medical insurance cards and driver's license. She didn't say hi or good afternoon or anything, just asked for those cards and I explained to her that they were already on file at which she looked annoyed.I was taken in, pretty much on time in this large practice, by a gentleman who's job it is to get a preliminary report. I gave him my paper work, which he barely glanced at, then put drops in my eyes and began giving me a rudimentary eye exam which for all intent and purposes was to determine if I needed glasses. He asked me questions which I had already answered on the paperwork. After the little exam and talking and answering questions he sat me in another open waiting room with five other people I asked them if they were all there to see Dr. -P, and they all answered, 'yes.' I thought, and quot;Oh, brotherand quot;. I waited over an hour and a half (this was after the prelim. exam). One lady told me that she had waited 3 1/2 hours, one of those hours because they forgot she was in there! In the main waiting room!!
After finally getting in, the doctor didn't even ask me what was the problem or what can we do to help you? Nothing. He just told me to lean onto this eye exam apparatus, and he examined my eyes. I tried to tell him that I had been in the hospital er a few weeks ago with peri-orbital cellutlis, put on antibiotics, and told to go to my primary doctor the next day which I had. Now I was having sharp pains in the eye right where I had gotten bitten by the mosquito that gave me the infection. He asked me if the er doctor was an opthomologist or and quot;just a doctorand quot;. I told him that I had gotten very good care for something that if wasn't treated could become very serious. He shrugged that aside and told me I had dry eyes, that it was co-incidental, gave me some drops and to come back in three weeks. I left feeling and quot;shrugged asideand quot;. I finally left the office at 6:00!!! I was very, very, upset and will not go back to Dr. P again.

I was overdue for an eye exam and new to this area. From the moment I walked in the door to the minute I left everyone that worked there were friendly beyond belief. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their job. The front desk girls were joking with patients and even new some of their names when they walked in the door. I saw Dr. Jones and he couldn't have been more pleasant. He put my mind at ease about my vision and set me on my way without a worry in the world. I'm planning on making an appointment for my husband and would recommend this office to anyone.

There are several doctors there and the particular one who takes care of me is Dr. Baumann. I had regular eye appointments for general eye care as I have near sidedness, glaucoma, retinal schisis and other conditions that need to be monitored and looked at. I find them perfectly excellent. My friend uses them, and he referred me and I like them so far. They provide full service including optical and hearing aid, although I don't need it. I am due for an appointment in April 2012. They are available and the office environment is very fine. Like any doctor's office, you have to wait sometimes but you don't have to wait very long. If they give you certain time and when you arrive you have to wait 15-20 minutes that's it. The staff is excellent. With regards to the bedside manner, they are very professional. I have not gone blind yet, so the treatment is effective. If I need anything or a change in the prescription because I do have to take very strong eye drops to counteract glaucoma, and also if necessary they can do surgery. It's a complete service in a complete office environment. God forbid, but if you need to have a retinary attached or cataract removed they are capable of doing it right in the office.

    Baumann, Dr. Jeffrey D.
Dr.Baumann is an excellent doctor. As long as I still get an appointment I recommend him highly. The staff there knows me well and they greet me by name. They are very accommodating, in case you need to change you appointments or even cancellations, that sort of things. End of last year Dr.Baumann did my cataract surgery. He did it in 10 minutes. Since I am a diabetic he was very careful concerning what to do, the preparations he took, asking me questions and making sure that my sugar was in the right range before he did the surgery. My wife has also used his services. I have recommended him to others and I have sent three other people to him. I have never heard anything bad said about him. Since I have double barrel astigmatism in my left eye he had another associate doctor in the same practice to look me over just to check. He ended up having to do some laser work on my eye to make sure that my retina does not get detached including the use of the gas bubble to hold it in place. So between these two doctors I cannot imagine going anywhere else.

    Panzo, Dr. Gregory J.
He did a good job. He is a very pleasant doctor and he was very good at explaining things to me when I asked him questions. He was very thorough in his examination. I was very impressed with the courteousness and professionalism of him and his staff. They were very helpful in every aspect. I have already recommended him to other people and I would definitely use him again.

    Charles, Dr. Keith C.
He did a floppy job on my eyes because I had it verified through another doctor. There was no teaching, no education. I woke up in the middle of the night and I was blind. He didn?t tell me that he gave me medicine that would close my pupils and so I wouldn?t be able to let any light in. I was in severe pain and they said to report any pain if not normal. I have been seeing them every week for a month now. I have not got any better and I am in pain. I can go and see whenever I needed.

Not bad.  We did NOT need a new pair of glasses
and did NOT have any eye diseases.  So, it was routine.
