    Clancy Electric
Excellent service. Prompt arrival, courteous, careful, and cleaned up behind themselves. Clancy Electric did a terrific job at an excellent price. I have referred them to family, friends and neighbors , as well as several local realtor friends. This is an excellent option for affordable electrical work by professional tradesmen. Thanks!

Bill arrived when he said he would for a same day emergency electrical repair in our house. My husband was very impressed with the quality of work. He talked with Bill quite a bit and found him to be really knowledgeable! The job involved fixing a line we accidentally cut behind the wall. It ended up being a bit more work then any of us anticipated but he gave us a fair deal and did a nice solid repair!

    Superior Solar Systems LLC
Nick, the sales rep, was great. Even though I have a sometimes hard to understand speech disorder, Nick took a lot of time to listen and he explained the differences between my old system and the new. He answered all my questions and there were plenty of them. I was concerned about the quality differences and costs. All was gone over, from the materials used, expected temps with the new system, etc. I ended yup increasing the amount of panels on my south facing roof since the space allowed it and Superior Solar was/is running a special free panel offer. Free is always a good thing. ;-)
On the day of the installation, the guys showed up on time. Called before they arrived and quickly got to work removing the old system. They discovered the big hole and recommended a roofer who I hired for the repair job. We had to put the install off for over two weeks. Though I was upset about the hole from the old system, I was really pleased that there wasn't a drop of debris left anywhere on the my property from its removal. Was very impressed with that. Usually workers will leave the home and you'll see pieces of plastic or metal in the yard, cigarette butts, etc., but none of that here. It was a spotless removal.
The roof got repaired and the guys came out yesterday and installed the new system. What a difference just visually with it. No silver clamps showing, nothing looking odd or out of place, no leaks with the new pipes...everything so far looks great and works well.
I was pleased that throughout the experience from the beginning with Nick, he kept in touch texting me. We'd write back and forth about roofers, install dates, questions and such since my speech is hard to understand on the phone.
The guys who did the install were an excellent team. They worked fast and did their best to solve a problem unrelated to the solar install. It's that little bit of going the extra mile, that as a business owner, I appreciate and value. When I asked them to please stop calling me "sir" and call me by name they did. They even worked till sundown trying to fix that electrical problem for me.
Today Nick came by to pick up the check (I'd left my checkbook at work) and he tried to solve my electrical problem too. He spoke with Superior Solar's office and they advised buying a new mother board for the Jandy controller. The pool installer 14-15 years ago apparently put a corrosive agent below the electrical box and the fumes degraded the electrical contacts. They offered to sell me the part needed at their wholesale cost and they'll be installing when it arrives next week.
I felt like the price is high for these things, but that's the nature of the device. I'm sure the previous system with the leaks, poor construction and misplaced sensors and valves was cheaper. (I bought the house after the first owner.) You definitely get what you pay for. I feel very confident about my purchase and will soon be hitting the pool while my buds in NC will be donning their winter coats.
Five Stars to Nick and the install team. For me to give high ratings is a big deal. I'm picky about details. They did it right.

    In Phaze Electric
I called In Phaze hoping they would service my area. I found them on Angie's List and was impressed by the frequent and CURRENT good reviews. Tony set up an initial visit with Jamie promptly.
Jamie came by to see the various things we wanted done. One was the catalyst for the visit, the others depended on how much the cost would be. Jamie gave me a comprehensive explanation of what all the tasks involved.
He then emailed me the estimate, each task with a separate cost so I could easily decide to drop one if it seemed too much. I purchased the remotes for the fans based on his advice and scheduled the time for all the work to be completed via email.
He was prompt, neat and fast and we are loving all the improvements.
What clinched my confidence in Jamie was when he explained how he needed to re-wire the wall for moved outlets. Somebody who might want to cut corners would have left the live old outlets in the wall (behind a new built in), but Jamie properly moved them. That may seem obvious, but a conversation with another electrician previously, proved to me that people do suggest such things. Its not enough to do things so a layman things they are ok, they need to be done safely and according to code.
Would you use this provider in the future ... Yes is not enough,  Absolutely!

    Kalos Services Inc.
The repairman who's name I've forgetten arrived on time. Very friendly and knowledgable though young. He got to work right away. Did good clean work meaning no leftover pieces for me to clean up. The exterior outlets were done correctly and the irrigation control was done well. Gave me some tips on future work too around pool area. Overall very very helpful and friendly.

    In Phaze Electric
I selected this company in good part due to consistently good ratings from previous customers.  I have the impression that others selected the company for work on that biasis too as the company seemed stretched by its workload once the project began.  Overall, they did a reasonably good job.  That said, a few things struck me as being a rung below a top flight company.  For context, the company just became associated with Generac and I was their first customer under this new arrangement (they said) so there may have been a learning curve.
The process to obtain the permit for the installations seems to have been prolonged.  I was originally told the permit would be pulled on 20 June.  4 days later, I was told that it would be pulled on the 30th.  County records indicate that the application was finally made on 2 July and it reached the "issued" step on 27 Jul.  Along the way, it was mentioned to me that the compnay was in discussion with the county over the plan for the wiring.  The builder did install a couple of subpanes that are not half full and the main panel has feeds to each and the main panel has a capacity exceeding the requirements for the house.  While technically sound, the arrangement presented a challenge.  The company however saw the layout and took photos during the first visit so their plan presumably considered the arrangement from the start.  On 21 July, the company wasn't sure this had been resolved - 6 weeks after the initial project discussions.  While this project certainly wasn't urgent, I found the timeline to be a bit long.  Again, the company appeared to be pulled in many directions at once due to a growing workload exceeding resources (note:  the manufacturer did deliver the generator a week later than its initial estimate - a delay not the fault of In Phaze).
The company provided me with the manufacturer's brochure on the system.  In the initial discussions, I was told the generator would be on a concrete pad. In reviewing the literature, I noticed that it said the unit could be on pea gravel and didn't require a concrete pad.  I emailed the company asking about this and the response was that a concrete pad would be installed.  Days later, I was told it would be pea gravel due to county requirements.  Odd that the company didn't know about the reported county requirement.  3  people worked on the project at various times and this led, in my opinion, to a wiring error.  To its credit, the company took responsibility and fixed the related problems.  No finger pointing nor excuses, just an effort to make everything right.  Nonetheless, the error should either have not been made or been caught in a review (since the 3rd workman had not done this type of work before, a thorough check of his work should have been in order).
So, the experience was disappointing in comparison to earlier favorable reviews.  The company appeared to be addressing its workload vs resource problems (e.g., someone was hired to anwer phones, etc. during this project) and there were a few learning opportunities.

    Westbrook Service Corp
The company had good reviews and there was a special offer for Angie's List members for installing a whole house surge protector.

Completed the intial process on the website and then called Westbrook.  Fortuitously, someone was finishing another job and would be available.  Consequently, the work was done about 3 hours after I started the process.  Scott was thorough and efficient.  A veritable professional installation.  An excellent value based on the Angie's discount.  Would definitely contact them in future if there's a need for electrical work.
