Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Minneola

    Branch Garage Doors
It went very well. While the technician had a little trouble locating our home (not his fault), he got to work immediately after arriving and pointed out a missing bolt that was putting stress on part of the garage door opening system. He replaced the bolt, lubricated the parts of the door that needed it and recommended that I replace the rollers on the door as some of them were wearing out. I elected to allow him to replace the rollers. It had been ten years since the Company had serviced our garage door so the rollers were original to the time of installation. The technician also gave me some advice as to how to open the door should the spring(s) ever break and cautioned me about a safety hazard that could occur if the door was in the up position without the normal opening system in operation.

The did an excellent job. They showed up on time, gave me multiple options, with no pressure and then did the repairs quickly. The door operates now better than it ever has in the 15 years I have owned they home.

My garage door opener did not stop when the door opened. The motor kept going and jammed the chain against the stop. I tried to break the door free and broke the chain that runs between the door and the motor..  I called Branch because they were close and rated A. Office staff answered the phone immediately and transferred me to their scheduler.  She set me up for a same day repair and called me 15 minutes before the technician arrived so I could get my cars out of the garage. The technician (Andrew) arrived on time and went right to work, He repaired a broken chain, replaced the part that adjusts when the door stops opening and when it stops closing. He adjusted the springs, lubricated everything and made all the necessary adjustments. The price Branch charged me was less than I expected and I was very pleased with the work.

    Important points were:
The phone was answered by a person not a machine. They were responsive to my needs and phoned me back twice to set up a better appointment time and to tell me when the technician was 15 minutes away.  The technician answered all my questions and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. I got the impression from everybody that they valued me as a customer.

Neighborhood Garage Door Service of Orlando
Orlando's Choice Overhead Garage Door Company were good. We compared the price, I did a lot of shopping around and they were the most reasonable. I think they had coupons and stuff as well. They were here pretty quickly. They did a good job, actually they did a much better job than I expected them to. I would definitely recommend them and actually I did recommend them to others. They were really good and I think it was a weekend and the car was left in the garage. They were pretty good about getting here and taking care of it and giving us a good price and everything. They were about 100 and some dollars less than everybody else. I think that they were more professional than the others. It was like a weekend and actually I didn't expect them to come until Monday without charging us more for it and they didn't charge extra.

When the provider was on the way, I had pulled up my paperwork from previous service. He took a look at the rollers and reviewed my paperwork (I had the rollers replaced by the other company previously). He saw that they were the same rollers they use and that they were in good shape. He had me contact Angie's List to get the Big Deal refunded.

I have arranged for them to come back and fix the seal on the bottom of my garage door because of the great interaction I had with their technician William.

The scheduling and installation service went extremmely as I have come to expect with Branch Door Service. They are not the least expspensive service provider, but I have found them to be very honest and they backup the work performed without question.
I switched to Branch Door Service over eight years ago after I got fed up with my department store service provider not showing up on time, and sometimes without the  parts to make the repairs. I have no regrets switching over and would recommend them to my friends.

    Precision Door Service
Purchased a door service/tune up special with rollers through Angie's List for $99. Also had a broken hinge I knew I would have to pay extra for. The added price was reasonable. The only negative rub to this whole experience was the attempt to upsell you on things that may/could/recommend be replaced, but were not needed. And just make sure the communication for what you want done and what the tech does is clear. I got charged for a part I did not want, but the nice guy side of me sees where the communication may have been unclear. Not too much high pressure sales tactic, but it seemed to be an element after they were out there for the great deal to begin with. Overall, the tune up with roller specials are a good deal, and the nylon/rubber rollers are quieter, just don't get talked into something else unless you want it. My tech seemed to try to go the extra mile to attempt to re-program my keypad but couldn't.

    Execellent.
Response was immediate. Repairs were quickly assessed and only work was performed that needed to be done to return door to like-new operation, plus I purchased a new remote which was reasonabe in price.
Service person, whom I talked to on the phone was very pleasant, open, informative and honest.
Office staff was amazing as well.
They are my "first responder" garage door team!

    Discount Garage Doors Inc
I decided to joing Angie's List after getting frustrated with the yellow pages when calling to have our spring repaired.  I read the reviews about Discount Garage Door and decided to call.  The lady that answered the phone was not at a call center and actually knew what she (and I ) were talking about.  She gave me 2 quotes for the different models they carry.  We booked an appt and I requested that they come later in the day so I did not have to take time off work.  She was more than willing to help accomodate the request.

About 1/2 way through my scheduled call time of 5-7pm, the office called and wanted to update me on the appt and said the tech was on the call right ahead of me and would be to my house within the hour.  Then the tech, Tim, called about 15 minutes later to say he was finished and on his way and would be to me in 45min-1 hour as I live in Lake County.   Tim called back a few minutes later to tell me his gps said he would be there in 30 minutes and wanted to let me know he would be early.  By this point, I am already impressed at the level of customer service and this was my first ever experience with Angie's List!

Tim arrived, was very professional, cleaned up after himself and was no problem at all.  He installed the springs and let me know along the way that I may want to consider having my rollers replaced as they appeared worn, but not a big deal.  No pressure, very knowledgable and fast.

I will definately be calling DGD back to have them install the rollers when ready.  I still am shocked at the updates and phone calls along the way and just the overall level of service.

    Armstrong Garage Door
Our old garage door system failed and we called this company to install a new system. They installed the system and we had to have them return three times because the door wouldn't go up or down due to problems with the electronic eyes they installed. I had to call another company and had them fix the problem caused by the other company, and had to pay that company also. Armstrong refused to return any of the money we spent because they said the system was fine.
