    Eddie Hobbs Automotive Inc
    Had them install new steering gearbox and was supposed to replace heat and ac control actuators, along with Camber bushing bolts. Got truck back and power steering reservoir was dry causing failure of new gearbox and power steering pump. The camber bolts were not done nor where the heat and ac actuators. They performed unauthorized repair to the refrigerant system that didn't need anything done to it. Causing the air compressor to fail due to over charging system. Had to have new compressor and air system repaired by another shop at a cost of $699. Had to replace steering gearbox and power steering pump to fix that botched repair job by Eddie Hobbs Automotive. Total cost to repair Eddie Hobbs Automotive's damage was unnecessary if work had been performed correctly. Nothing but nasty attitude in the beginning. Filed complaint with BBB and Eddie Hobbs Automotive has lied and not followed through with anything. Actually wanted me to retract bad reviews and to agree to a confidentiality agreement. How does that help consumers become aware of what might happen to them? I was charged $599.34 which was 100 more than quoted and there was unauthorized work that cost $699 to repair by a qualified repair shop.

    My husband and I purchased a vehicle from The Coliseum Motors in Pace Fl. We arrived home with it and went to the store got home and the Passenger side brakes were smoking. The calipers wound up being bad. I called them right away and they told me to bring it back and they would take care of it. We also got a loaner vehicle until ours was fixed. We were informed every step of the way the progress on our vehicle. It now has Zero issues. We plan on dealing with this dealer again. He and his staff are professional and helpful.

    Took It to Eddies Hobbs Automotive, (we have always heard good things about them) and the mechanic- checked all the usual solutions and says she needs another engine!.. first they thought it was timing- but No compression. Then they believed it was the engine. ( original est about $4500 total) I admit i was dumbfounded how this could happen so I went in and talked to them. We discussed options, and problem causes. ..then something didn't make sense to the one guy who then went back and review the engine again... they discovered the real problem and called me back and showed me the engine and the timing...he explained what they found. After they got it he admitted all the main directives point to engine..but he even said God was watching over us..and inspired his thinking to Old school and discover the real cause..he called it a learning curve , that will also help them in the future,.... it wasn't anything at all about a woman thing, I never felt patronized at all, in fact I was well respected and my questions we answered with the best explanations. They took their time to be sure I understood which also caused him to rethink what they were looking at as well...which caused them to look in a different area and find the cause of the problem. I am so very Grateful that they listened- took much time to explain, and really trouble shot the problem and did all they did to get my daughter back on the road!! they saved me thousands! where i believe anyone else would have just insisted i needed the engine with their first diagnosis..     These people bend over backwards to take care of their customers. They loaned a battery to my husband when we first moved down here in 2005. His alternator went out in his truck. His truck pooped out in the Milton area and a friend of his picked him up, took him out there, and they just handed him a battery. They told him to just bring it back when he brings his car in. How many automotive places will just hand out batteries to strangers. These guys have been very good. They have no trouble telling you if they don't know something or if something is specific to the dealership that they can't handle. We've had a part of an AC unit, in another truck, that went out, the coil in the dash, and they replaced it that day. We made an appointment, they got the part, they put it in, serviced and tested the A/C and by 3:00 it was ready. They're awesome. I love them. They are polite and personable. They don't treat you like a number. They treat you like a person and talk to you as a person. They don't like to you. They'll tell you upfront if they have to use a used part or it will take a few days to get a new part. They're very honest.

    Ben was very friendly and professional. Arrived 15 minutes early and he went over the details of the service. We were very pleased with the results. He worked for about four and a half hours nonstop on our vehicle. The car looks brand new. He did an awesome job. Thanks again Ben. Washed ,waxed, and cleaned the carpet. Cleaned the aluminum wheels and tires. Degreased the engine. Cleaned the entire inside including the glove compartment and trunk.

    While traveling from Florida to South Carolina in 98 degree weather our A/C appeared to go out halfway through the trip. The air coming out of the vents varied from warm to cool, but not cold. Not having an Angie's account for SC I was forced to Google searches for auto air repair. I wanted a professional shop and not just an oil change garage that dabbles in more complicated repairs. My Tech Automotive appeared to be what I wanted. When I arrived the next morning just after they opened I explained to the owner what was happening. I told him I was traveling from Florida and would be leaving for Tennessee the following Monday. August heat in the South is not the thing to fool around with while having no A/C. The owner had a lot full of cars awaiting service but told me to bring it back at 1:30 and he'd take a look at it. When I returned he took my car out for a test drive while checking the temperature of the air out of the vent. He returned shortly with the good news that the output from the A/C was a cold 45 degrees as there appeared to be nothing wrong with the system. There was no charge for the service. Imagine that. A driver passing through whom he would never see again and apparently having car problems. See a recipe for a ripe repair charge? I tried to give him $20 to cover his time and trouble but he wouldn't accept it. He did me a huge favor and while from the looks of his parking lot he's doing fine I'd like to recognize a business that is in the business of doing right by the customer. He's over by the entrance to MCAS Beaufort. Look him up if you need automotive repair service from a fine citizen.

    The bosses name is Steve. He has a mechanic on hand and that mechanic has been working on my car. I think his name is Anthony. I've been using them for probably 4 or 5 years now. They are always friendly and helpful. I believe they're on the up and up. I don't feel like they're cheating me.

    Having Gaines previously service one of my vehicles, I called for a quote on change of tie rods on my 1997 Toyota Camry.  Randy gave me a quote that was $60.00 less than other places and told me he could get it done by the next day.  Sure to his word, the car was ready and I was back on the road.  Randy and his crew have found other issues that were less pressing but I will be back.  Hard to find people that are honest and do the work that they say without adding to the bill first and telling you about it later.

    I was told that my front struts were leaking by a big box store in Pensacola when I was having my tires rotated but they wanted $932.00 for the parts and labor so I decided to check elsewhere.

    Based on several word of mouth recommendations, the prior reviews on Angie's List and a check on the Better Business Bureau I went to Advance Tire and Service Center in Pace and Advanced was over $300.00 cheaper for the exact same job and the exact same parts that the big box store was going to charge me. Because of the price differential and the recommendations I had the work completed by Advanced and saved the money. Above and beyond the cost savings the service manager I spoke with was very polite, very professional and the work was performed to my satisfaction.

    In addition to the above I asked the service manager about and oil change and whether they carried the brand of oil I use. They said they didn't carry my brand of oil but they could get it in advance of my next service if I would call them the day before. In addition they said that I could bring my own oil and they would just charge me for the labor which is almost unheard of these days as most places want to make money on the sale of oil too. Now that I know this I will continue to use these guys for all my car care needs.

    I have a volvo and had normally taken it to the dealership in Pensacola. It was a long way to go, and I wanted somewhere closer, but someone I could trust. I met Gerald at an organization we both belong to and as we grew to know each other I felt he was knowledgeable in his field of business and learned how he loved working with and teaching people about their cars. Gerald and his team of mechanics are diligent and ethical in how they treat their customers.
