  • I cant thank you enough for what you have created here Wanda, I love it more and more each day. I love going outside now too. I wake up hearing my windchime in the morning and I go out on my balcony and look out at all the beauty. Then I go out and ealk down my path to my gazebo and look out at the water. Its just so beautiful:) Each time I leave or come home when its at night I stop in the road for a minute and look at my beautiful home. Its just amazing. There arent even enough words to express how much I appreciate what you have done here:):):) 😍😍🌼🌼🌴🌴🌺🌺💛💛

  • The owner was very professional and handled the job in a timely manner. The entire process went smoothly and turned out beautifully. I am hiring this company to complete a patio next month. I have referred him to many neighbors, friends, family, and co-workers. I was extremely impressed with the work. Job well done!!!

  • C & J completed several items around our house. They sealed approx 2200 sq ft of pavers and painted/stained approx 1100 sq ft of wood pool decking. They also completed some vinyl siding repairs by replacing a few sticks of damaged vinyl siding on our house. I also had them replace and paint the old wood siding on my pump house cover. I would recommend C & J to family and friends and I will use them again once the need arises. They did a great job, were very reasonable, finished the work in a timely manner, communicated well and were very professional. Thanks C & J.

  • This company is professional, knowledgeable and easy to do business with from beginning to end.  Our pavers were restored beautifully. Great job and a great team.

I would recommend PSP to friends and family.

  • Randy showed up on time for original estimate on job. Randy is very easy to work with, and has a great crew working for him. The pavers themselves took some time to come in from the manufacturer, but Randy let us know up front there would be a delay. The work performed was quite professional and completed on time. The crew he had working for him is professional and quite loyal, which speaks well for Randy. They took their time and did it right! It is a beautiful patio,  I highly recommend R&R to anyone wanting Hardscape work done!

  • Randy and his team were awesome! Brad, who was the nicest and most respectful person, removed our sidewalk, built a retaining wall( with low voltage lighting) and installed pavers to the front of our house. Believe me, at first we were really nervous about such a big project but Randy came and met with us, listened to our concerns and helped us come up with a plan within our budget. He answered every call, email and text. I took pictures of before, during and after and to see the progress ...well, the finished work in such a short time was absolutely AMAZING and worth every cent. We had lovely neighbors whom we have never met stop by asking about our experience and for his contact information which we were very happy to share.

  • A friend referred Concrete Works to us in April.  We had already received an estimate of $15,600 to complete the job.  Concrete Works provided an estimate which was over $4,000 less than the other company.  The other company counter offered with an estimate of $13,500 which was still higher than Concrete Works.  I also checked Angie's list and found that Concrete Works was listed and had a great rating.
The job started on a Monday and was completed by Thursday with the exception of expansion joint cuts which were completed by that Saturday.  The original start date was delayed due to inclemental weather.  Concrete Works provided notice of the delay and rescheduled.  The experience was very pleasant.  All expectations were exceeded with cost, professionalism, quality and timeliness.  I would definitely recommend Concrete Works to others.

  • The end results was amazing. Through the whole process Gary and Ethan were there all the way, they were very attentive. They treated our home as if it was their own, they cleaned up their mess everyday before they left, they locked our gate and backyard up so our dogs wouldnt get out. They did a remarkable job with our screen in pool area, and the fire pit was made perfectly and the side walks that were added to the back to connect to the screen room and to the front door of the house, look so perfect as if that is where they were suppose to be.

This guys are the real deal,

We will for sure anytime we have a project, they will be the first guys we call.

Thank you Gary and Ethan for doing such a wonderful job :)

  • The bid for the job was initially made in February 2012. We had received a bid from another local company but ultimately went with Backyard Design due to the salesman, Mark, being extremely nice and professional to deal with and gave us a lot of ideas that the other company didn't. The ideas Mark provided is what ultimately helped us to go with Backyard Designs. After we accepted the bid, Mark and a man by the name of Chris came out to inspect the project prior to the work being completed. Our experience with Chris was also positive and he displayed respect, professionalism, knowledge and understanding about what we wanted the patio and adjoining areas to look like. Once work was scheduled for March 19, 2012; the sand and pavers were delivered on the preceding Friday, March 16th, with no call from Mark or Chris letting us know about the delivery. When work began on Monday the 19th, Chris only stopped by the job site for about an hour in the morning and the work was ultimately done by a guy named John, who had never seen or discussed what our plans were prior to starting the work, and his understanding of what we wanted done was limited to the hour or so conversation with Chris that morning. We never knew prior to March 19th, that Chris would not be guy doing the job. During the bid process and the selection of materials, we were told over and over again that we would really like Chris and was lead to believe he would be doing the work, hence why he would visit the job site prior to the work being done.

When work began on the existing patio, John began laying the supporting wall for the patio, farther outside the original dimensions of the planned work. Luckily, my wife was there to correct this or who knows what would have happened. The patio appears to have turned out well, but time will tell of the quality of the job. Where the project really began to unravel was the walkway that was to connect the patio and adjoining area where we have a porchswing. The original plans was to have the walkway and adjoining area be as close to the grass level as possible. However, the man performing the work made both areas approximately 6-8 inches higher than discussed and would not listen to my wife when she said the work completed wasn't right. However, my wife and I had to call Mark and Chris to tell them what had happened and they said they would fix it. As a result, the man completing the work had to come back out on Tuesday and fix what he had done with these areas. When the man completing the work showed up on Tuesday, he had this girlfriend with him who sat in the van all day. Chris also had to come out and explain to the man doing the work, yet again, what the plan was for this area. The man doing the work ultimately made the areas look nice, but failed on the integrity of it. When I got home, after a few days had passed, I began to walk the perimeter of the area that had been fixed and noticed that the pavers were already beginning to fall away from the rest of the surface. As I put my foot on the side pavers, they ultimately just seperated from the rest of the surface and ultimately John failed to put in the proper edging supports for the pavers. I had to call Mark, yet again, to have his guys come back out and inspect the area. Chris arrived and assessed the area and agreed that it wasn't done properly and told me that this same guy who messed up twice would come back to fix it. I told Chris that I did not want this guy back as he doesn't listen to our instructions and he already messed up twice. Chris ultimately sent a different guy and it appears that the issues have been corrected.

At no time did Mark ever stop by to look at the project or apologize for the mistakes. While Chris did stop by, it was only at our calls that he showed up. He also never apologized but appears to have corrected the issues, at no extra charge to us, nor did he try to charge us extra. Then, on March 30th, we received a call from Backyard Designs telling us that our final payment is due (we had to pay them half up front for the supplies). While we had every intention to pay them, we never heard anything else from Mark or Chris seeing if we were satisfied with the work performed and if so, this is how you can make the final payment.

Time will tell whether or not the integrity of the project will remain. I have my doubts about it; but am hopeful there are no other issues. With what I know now, I would not use or recommend Backyard Design to perform your next patio project. I believe their customer service is weak and they didn't make us feel like our job was a priority to them. During the project, my wife and I felt like we had to be overseeing the work performed to ensure it was done correctly.

It appears that Chris may be involved in larger scale projects and smaller projects, like ours, another crew of guys perform the work. I can't speak for the work that Chris would do himself, but for the guys that performed our work, they failed to meet our expectations.
