Auto Shop reviews in Miami Lakes

This place has been in my neighborhood for as long as I can remember. I used to come here a lot because it was faster and more affordable than the other local tire shop. Unfortunately I had to come here today for a tire on my jeep. When I first pulled up a bunch of guys got out of an old 80's Astro van with no seats and a sleeping woman inside. I was approached by who I know to be the original owners son who's name is also Cesar so I asked for a used tire to get by until I can afford new tires. They remove my old tire which had a plug in it and had me waiting 10 minutes to find the same tire. He comes out with the tire and hands it to another guy who begins to inflate it. As I'm sitting there watching Cesar places a plug in the tire I guess he caught me watching so he walked by me and says oh don't worry you're good with that tire. I didn't say anything then because besides the plug The treading looked good. But as he's putting the tires on my car I realize it super small compared to my other tires!! He says oh I didn't think it mattered! Seriously?? He then tells me to come back in a couple days that he should have my tire then. I forgot to mention at the beginning of this review I had been there about three months ago and the same thing happened and when I came back a couple days later he still didn't have the tire so I went somewhere else. Well at the end of it when I confronted him and told him he was basically very unprofessional he basically told me that he would only charge me $25 I told him he could have his money but I was never going back there! Ohh and he stunk like alcohol!! All he was worried about was his $25! I remember coming to this place 7+ years ago when his father still worked there and wow what a difference! Just the cleanliness alone was so much better! Villaman tires is a little more expensive but much more professional!

MaryAnn was excellent in explaining everything to me and answered all the questions & concerns I had in regards to selecting the right tint. I didn't want to lose too much light but still have enough protection from the sun. She mailed some tint samples which were of great help. She kept in touch and followed up, super nice! Jaime was on time for the install. Very clean work, professional and very nice. Enjoyed our talks about our parrots, etc. Just a very pleasant experience, recommend in a heartbeat. Thanks!

I spoke with Nelson the manger, they are so disrespectful and rude. They run a shady company, so they auction your car off and get paid and then two years later they want you to pay. So they're allowed to put a lien on your car and get paid again, this is wrong on so many levels. I will report them to the better business bureau

Light and Bright came to our facility the same day I called. We selected the color tint to be used, scheduled the installation date and they were here on time and did not stop until the job was completed. Very professional and friendly.

My daughter had an accident on January 31, 2014. We took the car in and they did a preliminary statement for the cost of the repair. The insurance company approved it and it was supposed to take about 4 weeks. However, it took much longer as they were waiting on a piece from a factory. We were patient and when we went to go pick up the car in March, Juan Carlos Lemus, let us know the windshield of the car was cracked. It was NOT cracked when we took it in after the accident and they did not put it in the initial estimate after the crash, so it obviously happened when the car was in their possession. Juan assured me that everything would be fine and we could take it home and they would send someone to us to fix it, but I did not want to take it home until they finished the windshield. They finally did three days later. A few days ago, I received a letter from the DMV that MY insurance had been cancelled because the body shop entered it as a separate claim. Juan works as an auto body tech but owns a separate glass company, so he filed a separate claim, scamming State Farm and me. They also charged me the $500 deductible before the windshield was even fixed. It was their responsibility to fix the windshield and they took the liberty to file a separate claim as if we had been in a separate accident when it was their fault. I also spoke with George Licor several times but do not know what his position there is. It is cheating and fraud. I feel like they took advantage of me and my daughter and were not honest.

Very professional and knowledgable. Phil and Carlos explain everything and guarantee their work. Great auto mechanics in the Miami Lakes / Hialeah area.

You don't get that helpless feeling that a dealership or franchise repair shop gives you. There are no surprise fees or repairs that aren't needed. When all is said and done, your car if fixed and fixed right.

I got this company info from Angie's List and called and spoke to Ray. The transmission in my car was slipping and sometimes seeming to go into neutral like a stick shift, but it's an automatic. The car is a 1999 Camry with 133,000 miles and I thought the transmission may be going out. Ray asked me to bring the car in so their tech could check it out with no charge to me. I took the car in today and Ralph drove the car and of course it showed no problems. He then asked me how the car acted and when? After first start-up in the morning, or after driving several miles? He then checked the transmission fluid level and found it was low and the engine oil level was down some too. He topped them off and said the transmission should now be OK. When I asked Ray how much I owed them he said there was no charge. In Miami????? No charge?? Wow. These guys do run an honest shop, no sales hype, no BS. Just straight talk. I have already recommended them to a family member, and would highly recommend Alonso Transmission to any one.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. It went well. Everybody was very professional. It took them no more than 10 minutes to start working on my car and no more than 30 to give it back which is relatively quick. I guess they were most friendly and they worked a lot faster than I expected. The job has been done well and it was well documented. I was pretty happy with the service. There were no extra charges.

Excellent as always. Frank and his staff always take great care of me and my car. He checks in with me to let me know what he finds and what he will do to fix the problem. You couldn't ask for better care. His receptionist, Carla, is very friendly and always makes me feel welcome.
