    My wife stopped using the system because of false alarms. When I returned I called Absolute Protection to cancel the service and I was told that the contract was for 3 years. I paid for a year and I thought that was the end the commitment. The salesman had me initial and sign the contact with no mention of the three year term. The contact also requires a written notice, 30 days in advance by certified letter. There is also a clause which allows them to increase the price by up to 9% after the first year. They haven't done this but it is another clause that was not mentioned when I signed up. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!!

    i have had ADT (brinks the company they bought both)since 2006 in Dec 2013 I called asking about their keyless locks and cameras. They would not give me any information over the phone so they sent a sales person. I told him I was looking for a lock that could be set up to only allow my teenage foster kids in one hour before and after school. I wanted to set each of their codes to allow entry between 2:30 - 4:30pm Monday-Friday this way they could not cause any harm if they told their friends the code. I also wanted a camera that would record from the beginning of motion to the end. I found out before the installation man was finished that the lock would not do what the salesman said it would and shortly after that the camera recorded for 30 seconds and even though their was motion may not start recording again. I called ADT and they agreed to remove the equipment and put my old door handle back on. All was good until I moved in February and ADT wants an additional 500 because of the three year contract I signed when I got the above mentioned equipment. I explained what happened. They didn't care. I called on and off from February 17-this week. I finally got a corporate customer service guy who let me tell my story said he would research and call me back Monday. He called Monday and told me that the contract stood because ADT had to change the brains of my security system to their equipment pulse would not run on Brinks equipment. Really I said nowhere in my contract is that even mentioned besides you decided not to reinstall the old brains because the installation guy put everything in my garage because he knew someone would be back. Now I say to the guy from corporate I have an rider to that contract that says ADT installed equipment with a value of 382 then it says they removed equipment worth 382 with zero equipment remaining and still I'm wrong they are right. Today I get an electronic bill for 585 because I cancelled. Then later my phone rings saying this ? From ADT corporate we noticed you cancelled is their any reason for that. I explained the above I moved I'm renting can't use you equipment and explained the above. The person said I can make that go away if you sign a new three year contract. I nicely said good bye and hung up. I will never do business with them again.. And files with the BBB, and Florida Attorney General.

    On the positive side the equipment I have had from the beginning and the monitoring is an A+ never an issue. That is the only reason I gave an overall D instead of an F.

    We spent quite some time shopping around before we decided with Dave and his Team at Alarm Specialist.  They came several times, talked options and were very patient - knowing this was an investment for us.  When we decided to establish a contract, he took his time and make sure we understood all aspects of the contract, what we owned and what would be installed.  After considering all the options, we even went with an upgrade that we are very happy we did.
    Install price was competitive with other options we looked at and the monthly monitoring fee slightly lower.
    Install was all done in a day and looks very professional.  I was concerned, as appearance in the store is important.  Most sites are hardwired and he was able to to work directly into our existing equipment board and power supplies.
    Use of the system is very easy and I really like the web site at alarm.com.  To be honest, I think it is easier that ADT's site (which is what we currently have for our home).
    Highly recommended for any home or business.

    Our office has needed a camera monitoring system for some time. I'm so happy we choose to get one. And I'd just like to say what a pleasure it was to have your company install our new video surveillance system. Your security technician, Darnell, was not only on-time, but a little early to make sure the job got done right. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions regarding the system that he installed. He even answered my calls after hours when I had another question after he left.     We had another alarm company in the past but was never really happy with them and discontinued service.  We met David and redid our alarm system with some adjustments since we had put in a few new windows and wanted to include my husbands work shop in the rear yard.
    They were great, got there when they said they would, professional, A plus in everything.
    The most important part was the morning of our fire at our house, I was in bed, and the dogs were bothering me to get up way to early, I was just not ready, then I heard alarms going off! I had no idea what was going on, never had heard it before but jumped out of bed and went out my bedroom door with dogs behind me. Went around house in search of my husband then out to garage where his work shop is out behind garage, opened door from kitchen to garage and flames came pouring in. Our house phone weren't working, the wires had been melted, I could not punch in my code to my cell phone and squirt the garage where I thought my husband was..........Thank the Lord for Alarm Company that called the Fire Department for me and got them to my house before it spread to my entire house. (My husband had taken his electric wheelchair that morning down to the church to see the Pastor, he was not home)
    Alarm ,(Dave, came over within 30 minutes of the fire to check on us and make sure he could be of help. They also were there when we rebuilt to put everything back together.

    This company has the poorest customer service representative I've ever dealt with.  I was held on the phone while this individual complained about her lack of an assistant and the slow speed of her computer.   Befuddled by her inabiliy to find my account, although they installed and have serviced this system in the past, I found myself unable to continue with this folly and did to have my system serviced successfuly by another local firm.

    The experience was good overall. They had installed an alarm years ago. I changed services because I found a cheaper alarm service. I then went back to United States Alarms, since they had lowered their prices. I’ve had no problems since. The emergency system is incredibly quick to respond when I’ve accidently called in the past. Their prices have been fair. I’ve been happy with their services overall.
