    It was excellent. They will make phone calls to the insurance company if there's a question. They follow up and they're very prompt in getting refills done and they're professional. They're reasonable.

    I was in the emergency room for back pain for less than 90 minutes, had one IV and a dose of pain killers and an X-ray. I saw the doctor for less than five minutes and they charged me 16,000 dollars. Fortunately, my insurance company didn't pay the bill because they knew there was corruption there. Just by accident I went to the hospital that was in network so the hospital should not have charged me any more than the contracted rates for the services they provided but they did any way and when the insurance company did an audit, they only paid them the contract prices. Had I been on an insurance program that was out of network, or a facility that was out of network, I would have been slapped with that whole bill. It was only by the grace of God that this emergency room is in my Blue Cross network.

    I made the decision for the ambulance to take me to Wuesthoff because I had had many procedures and diagnostic tests done there during a former illness. All of those experiences went well. Everyone in the outpatient departments had been very attentive and professional so I had no reservations about the inpatient department. Boy, was I wrong! I was basically put in a bed and forgotten about for 4 days. I was admitted on a Sunday morning and when I was released on Wednesday I was still wearing the same clothes I had on when I arrived. I wasn't allowed out of bed without help and was not even allowed to walk down the hall. There was no shower in my bathroom and I was not even offered a sponge bath until Wednesday. (which I refused because I knew I was going home and the nurses aid was not the friendly sort) The food wasn't too bad but I had a broken elbow with my right arm in a sling. The food lady would bring my tray and every time she would tell me that someone would be there to help me. But no one ever came - even when I rang for someone. Its hard to eat a whole chicken breast or a pork chop with one hand. All in all it was a lousy experience and I hope I never end up there again.

    Overall the staff is very nice, eveyone kept asking if they could get something for me. The problems with my experience was the room was very small and held 2 people. With the required medical items there was not enough room for basic things like books, cell phones, etc. My wife has to squeeze into a small area, and the privacy drapes from the other bed kept getting pushed into her. Also I never saw a doctor, just their PA once in a great while. We needed a family medical records form signed by my doctor which took 2 days and a lot of follow up to have done. Last but not least the food service was poor, plastic tableware, and food trays that looked like 1950 vintage. The taste of the food wasn't that good, and they didn't pick up the trays right away which didn't help with the cramped quarters
