DOur experience with S&W has been a prolonged nightmare. They show little remorse for huge errors, and their workers appear to be overworked to the point of constant errors on the job. From our first meeting to our unfinished punch list, there has been little care or sense of urgency about critical errors. I would however like to mention up front that our Foreman (Pete) was amazing and thoughtful, but unfortunately quit the project as it became out of control. I don’t know if he left the company as well, but I wouldn’t blame him as he is not given the resources to succeed. Pete was also never replaced, and no issues were dealt with once he left the project. I will outline most of the problems we had starting from the beginning of the project. Once we had our design consultations at the Longwood showroom, we had our meeting to go over costs and timelines. We were quoted 11 weeks to a completion. It took at least double that to even get close to substantial completion, and there are still problems to this day (1/13/21). For reference, this meeting was at the end of March of 2020. Our biggest issue with this build was that they mismeasured our kitchen from the start, and didn’t figure that out until well into the build process when they noticed the cabinets would not be able to fit as designed. Their measurement was off by OVER A FOOT. The only person that seemed to care about this was our foreman, and the cabinet installers. The management continues to just say our kitchen looks nice, but refuses to acknowledge that it is a major issue that it was not the kitchen we ordered. This mismeasurement caused our kitchen to no longer be centered on a window, and we had to completely shift cabinets around. To the credit of their craftsmen, they did a very good job with the compromises, but they were just as horrified as we were. There were also other problems with the cabinets that caused them to come out for multiple visits which I will detail below. To that end, there are still problems with the finish of the cabinets that remain to this day even though the company seems to think they are done with this project. Here is a list of other issues that happened during our build: -A wall was framed in the wrong place and I had to correct the worker as I happened to be home that day. That caused some issues with our ceiling cracking later on -They lost kitchen hardware that took about a month to re-order -When installing our appliances, they caused a gas leak that we had to live with over a holiday weekend -They damaged a countertop during that appliance install and did not tell us. The damage was so severe that the counter had to be replaced. -They scratched the floor when they repaired the gas leak, and that scratch remains as the wood floor was installed by a different company. -We had several plumbing mishaps that required numerous revisits by the plumbers -They severed a pipe for our outside water -The cover and protect process they used for our wood floor caused moisture to build up and the floor had to be replaced -They completely installed an incorrect door which took weeks of visits to repair and it remains unfinished (missing a strike plate) -We had service people and inspectors show up unannounced and unexpected -We failed an inspection as they got the county confused even after we warned them several times about our county as we live near the county line -During this process they have been very slow at communication (weeks to respond) -Some of our kitchen hardware already has coating wearing off My last email to the company was on December 8th. I received a reply about a week later that they were elevating our case to ownership, but as of today (1/13/21) it has been almost a month since, with no word from ownership. The issues with this company all seem to come from the fact that they are accepting more work than they can handle. Their workers are good craftsmen, but they were all exhausted, and were often coming to us as their 3rd job of the day. This also caused us a few late nights of construction. We felt so sorry for the workers as they were absolutely beat. The workers had a real drive to fix issues, but the company has been slow to respond to issues, and does not seem motivated in any way to compensate for delivering a kitchen that was not what we ordered. In conclusion S&W charges a premium for their services and I can even see how it could be worth the money if the workers were scheduled well, but in our case, everything fell through the cracks, and there seems to be little accountability. I cannot recommend the company at the price they charge as you will end up still having to essentially coordinate most of the project yourself, and at that point you might as well go with a company that doesn’t charge a premium price for a mediocre product.

Capritta Appliance & Air Conditioning
Recent Review:
FThese people are bad news, stay away! My AC wasn’t cooling, so I called Capritta. The tech Joe came in and removed all the ice from the unit and also unclogged the drain. The unit was low on gas, so he refilled it, but he couldn’t find the leak, which I understand and here is where the problems begin. Afterward the AC condenser (unit outside) wouldn’t start. At this point the tech Joe said “your compresor is bad” and I go how come? I mean it was find until you got here. The tech suggested the only solution was to buy a new AC unit. He was hard press on that, as the only solution. He even gave quotes for new AC on the spot. Long story short, I called another company and our tech Joe had put so much gas on the unit that the pressure was through the roof and the unit was shutting off in order to prevent further damage. Either he did it on purpose to push me to buy a new AC or Capritta’s techs have no clue on how to fix ACs. You will be the judge if you make the mistake of calling them. Ohh and he still charged me $150! For literally breaking the unit! Shameful service!

Heavenly Heat Infrared Saunas are made for the chemically sensitive. That means that our infrared saunas create an ideal, safe, and effective detoxification environment for anyone seeking to eliminate toxic substances from their body.
Recent Review:
CTerrible! Wish I had gone with another company. Here is the issue with Heavenly Heat. If your sauna arrives damaged or and issue arrives -- they have zero technical support. Your repairs will be done by any "joe" that heavenly heat finds to do the repair in your area. They will have no experience with Sauna's and are given no instructions regarding the chemical free aspect of these sauna's. The worst part is the buyer, me, was treated as if I was the problem for wanting my sauna repaired correctly. I would have refused the delivery had I realized I was receiving a damaged sauna and would have to spend hours and days trying to get this resolved. The owner, Bob Morgan, is extremely responsive before he has your money but after, is a different story. When inquiring about the sauna he would respond generally within 10 minutes. After you purchase, and particularly if you have a problem with it, you are treated as if you're a nuisance. My sister bought a competitors sauna around the same time and the service she received from knowledgable representatives was a world of difference from my experience. My other issue was that there were shipping delays and Bob would never communicate them. I would have to pursue him to get information. I think they make a decent sauna but I would not recommend for reasons stated above.

FThis is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts.

FWas quoted $90 for the service. Was told that the $90 included diagnostics and minor labor. Talked to the repairman before he arrived and asked that he call me if it exceeded the $90. The repairman defrosted the line and charged me $240 total. There was no call back about the additional charge. Completely unauthorized. Now I have to fight Sears on the charge.

FI dropped off my microwave on a Saturday. The woman at the store said I would probably get a phone call in the next few days once the cause for the unit not working was determined. After several days, I called inquiring about the status was, but no one answered so I left a message. After a few more days, I called again and left another message. I proceeded to call every day but could not leave a message because the voicemail box was full. My wife also attempted several times without success. I also emailed the company. After about 2 weeks of this, my wife finally got someone one the phone. She informed us that they did not want to do business with us because I had posted a bad review on Google (true, I had posted a negative review a week into this debacle). The woman informed us that they had called and left a message (false, no message) for us to authorize the repairs but that our review meant we were unreasonable. we proceeded to pick up the microwave a few days later and did not have to pay the $25 diagnostic fee. Unresponsive to phone and email.

FHorrible experience they failed us on every level!!! Ordered wrong windows multiple times, 3 failed installs, unprofessional installers, extremely poor communication, failure to make it right and left our home in disarray. Seven week job turned into seven months. I’m still in shock at just how poorly they handled the job. Extremely frustrated and feel like we were violated. Regret hiring them and we now know many others have had the same bad experiences as us. Read the negative reviews. I wish I had we never would have used them. Total failure.

ATopline AppliancePurchased basic dishwasher for $325. Called when after I installed it would not pump water. Technician and internet helped determined that you may have to pour a half gallon of water in to lubricate seals. Once done worked great. I have purchased at least 10 appliances from Topline and always received great deals and good service.- Matt Y.

FAPPLIANCE DIRECTMy dad and I bought a Whirlpool dryer from them brand new & it was delivered Christmas Eve. The 1st time we used it a loud, horrible sound started coming from it that could be heard outside the home. Come to find out the unit was sold to us with the entire cage & motor of the "brand new dryer" broken. Appliance Direct and the horrific management has refused to assist us in anyway & refused to take back & replace the 1 day old dryer with a new unit. Management promised to call back with a resolution & never did. The sales rep also never called back or backed up the broken unit he sold us with a working 1. Deeply disappointed in him & his manager and we will never do business with them again & will be sure to tell everyone we know, not to buy from there as well.- Neal T.

FAPPLIANCE DIRECTTechnician turned water shutoff valve wrong way and broke it off spraying water everywhere. House shutoff valve was closed leaving us without water. Technician left uninstalled dishwasher and home without water No attempt was made to fix water valve. Emergency plumber was called. Fix was 230 dollars and manager did nothing to pay bill. Basically I ended up with no dishwasher and 230 dollars for a valve broken by them. They came and got dishwasher back and refunded purchase price but not repair bill. After going there for 30 years, I will never go back!- John C.

ATopline ApplianceI purchased a wonderful scratch&dent dryer from Topline, which was a very pleasant experience, with the help of Jim, the manager. After it was delivered and started for the first time, there was a terrible racket coming from somewhere inside, Jim sent over a technician who immediately discovered what the problem was, which was minor (a plastic guard had apparently come off during the delivery and was banging around inside), and fixed it easily. The dryer has been perfect ever since. I give Topline top marks on every count.- Alison R.

ADusty's Appliances & RepairIt was great dealing with the one person in the showroom, who, yes had to answer the phones too and she was professional to all of us, explaining that she had to take the call and to the caller that she had a customer in the store could she call her back. Having been on the end of the phone earlier, yes she does call back which is how we ended up at the showroom.- Agnes S.

AAppliancevilleI needed a dishwasher, so began researching machines and local vendors, as I try to shop within my community. After looking around two people mentioned “Applianceville” to me. I visited the store and had the absolute pleasure of meeting Isaiah, (“Zeke”). His knowledge of dishwashers was astounding! I told him that I was still looking, so he encouraged me to shop around, and if I found something I liked, I should relay the model number and allow him to give me an estimate. I did just that. I found the exact model I wanted, at another store, but it had a small dent at the base, which would have been practically unnoticeable in my kitchen: it was $130.00 cheaper. I called Zeke the next work day and shared my find, which he in turn immediately told me that “No, he could not meet that price.” He remained incredibly professional and polite -- just as awesome as the day I met him. He even commented that that particular dishwasher was such a good model, that it probably wouldn’t be at the other store much longer, so I needed to act fast if I wanted it. Then he reassured me that I was making a wise decision by picking that make/model, and even mentioned some of its nicer features, (e.g., chopper blade instead of the removable filter; Stainless interior;, etc…). Before hanging up, he politely thanked me for the call. Overnight I thought about it, and I could not purchase the cheaper one because of Zeke! Not only did I feel that he honestly cared about his customers and had my best interest at heart, but at this point, I trusted him completely! So I purchased the dishwasher from Applianceville, because of Zeke’s GENUINE commitment to his customers. The install was another great surprise. Tony was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. He called first, was punctual, and the installation was seamless. He also removed the old dishwasher, (which was great for me as i learned not all companies do that). If/when I need another appliance, I will immediately call Zeke. Applicanceville has quality employees and products. As a single woman, that lives alone, I felt good about my purchase and knew I got the best price for a [non-dented] machine and felt comfortable with having the installer in my home. EXCELLENT experience, overall!- gisele a.
