  • I waited over 1 1/2 hours to see Dr Davila.  I had finally had enough and as I was leaving, he came in.  I told him I had been waiting and really needed to get back to work.  He said "well, if you need to leave, we can reschedule".  I asked was he always this busy and he said yes and if that doesn't work for you, you may want to find another doctor.  So I left.   It was such a waste of time.

  • We arrived on time and the office visit went speedily, can't complain there. However, the first time Dr. Kielmovitch
    walked into the room, he just immediately said: and quot;She needs tubes.and quot; This is before even shaking my hand. He scheduled an x-ray (which we later learned is not the recommended imaging technique for diagnosis of inner ear and adenoid issues), and this was done immediately after the appointment.
    Later in the follow up visit, the doctor insisted that not only did she need tubes, but she also needed to have the adenoids removed because they were enlarged.
    and quot;Really, and quot; I said, and quot;what did the radiologist say about the adenoids?and quot;
    and quot;The report said they were hypertrophied,and quot; he said, and quot;meaning enlarged.and quot;
    and quot;I would like to see the report,and quot; I replied.
    He finally handed me the synopsis that the radiologist had written, the report stated that the adenoids were and quot;very mildly hypertrophiedand quot;. Nothing that concerned the radiologist. When we questioned why the report said and quot;very mildlyand quot; the doctor replied that he had looked at the image and that in his opinion the adenoids were simply enlarged, disagreeing with the radiologist.
    At that point, we asked him to show us the image from the x-ray, and explain that. He flatly refused to show us the x-ray, saying and quot;Oh that's already gone.and quot; Yes, the image that he just and quot;lookedand quot; at was already gone while the radiologist's report was conveniently in the exam room. At this point we were losing trust fast in this doctor.
    I asked the doctor, and quot;Okay suppose we don't get the adenoids out, what are the negative consequences of that?and quot;
    In brief he stated that not having the adenoids out could eventually cause facial structure changes (in other words deformity). He went on to say, and quot;We can do just the tubes, but you will be back later for the adenoids.and quot;
    Later my online research did confirm that enlarged adenoids can cause mouth breathing, and this mouth breathing can lead to teeth alignment problems. But, this seemed like a stretch for a 4 year old child with and quot;very mildly hypertrophiedand quot; adenoids. She doesn't snore and breathes just fine right now. So, he wants to perform surgery on her to remove something that is probably not causing her much (if any) difficulty. That seemed extreme to me.
    Overall, we were not impressed with how quickly he made a diagnosis and a treatment without even examining our daughter. We also were unimpressed with the way he tried to scare us into doing things his way (the surgery way).
    In the end we left and scheduled an appointment the next day with another ENT to get a second opinion. This ENT did not agree with the need for tubes nor for adenoidectomy. Instead she recommended some slight diet changes and a follow-up later to check progress.
    Dr. Kielmovitch may be an excellent surgeon, but we will never know. We left and won't be back.

  • Dr. Apter gives a lot of information. He educates you. He is kind and has a fabulous staff. He will call you at night with your results. They get right back to you, they get you in if you need to get in, and they schedule with the hospital. They are easy to get to.

  • Dr. Raouf Hilal is very thorough, very knowledgeable, and I was really happy with everything he did for me. He had to get me in for a semi-emergency exploratory situation so he got me in very quickly. I would absolutely recommend him and absolutely see him again in the future.

  • I thought Dr. Talal Hilal was excellent. I was in dire pain when I saw him so he got me in quickly and he was very thorough. He spent quite a bit of time with me, asked a lot of questions, and it didn't feel like a production line. The staff was very nice.

  • Dr. Klaiman performed laser surgery on my prostate in 2005. He did an excellent job on the surgery: before I had it done, when the urge hit me, I had to get to a men's room immediately or I would have an accident, because my prostate was greatly enlarged. The surgery (remove about 25% of my prostate) was successful, and I no longer have urinary problems. I have a followup visit with him once a year (next appointment is scheduled for 6/19/12. Dr. Klaiman is always professional and punctual, and he takes time to answer any questions I have.
    Several years ago, a biopsy showed elevated markers for potential prostate cancer. Dr. Klaiman and his assistant follow up with periodic biopsies for any change that might have happened.

  • They were able to give me an appointment to fit my tight schedule very easily.
    I got there right after lunch and only waited a few minutes. Once in the waiting room, I waited only 5 minutes for him to arrive. The appointment itself was about 15 minutes. He chatted and took his time but it was me who was rushing to get back to work!
    Checkout was fast too. I was back in the car 30 minutes after I left it.

  • My husband was hospitalized for two weeks, and after a while the nurses couldn't hide their contempt for Dr Adcock. He is so impressed with himself that he seemed to forget that it was about the patient and not him. He seemed competent initially but complained about all that he was having to do for my husband. During a follow-up visit after the hospital stay, Dr Adcock went ballistic when we had a test done at a medical center instead of in his office. At that point it was obvious that this was not the right doctor for us. By this time we were better educated about vascular surgery and transferred to a doctor we respect and have confidence in.

  • I love him. He is always on time. I have never waited to see him. He listens to his patients. He doesn't rush me out the door. He seems to stay up on all current medicines. He also seems to stay in touch with a lot of alternative methods, holistic care as well as western medicines. He gives me the treatment based on the whole picture going on. He doesn't just address the symptom I came in for, and that's why I like him.
