  • Caroline went above and beyond what I paid her. It's not so much about the money for her. She just wants to do an outstanding job. Very pleased with her work. She is an artist when it comes to furniture refinishing. I would absolutely hire her again and hope to do so soon.

  • For the price, I would have expected higher standards. For example, as there were runs in the stain, and pieces of wood that didn't fit perfectly, I would have expected him to start over--sand and restain spot, cut a new piece of wood, rather than be happy with the stain, or make little wedges that were glued on to make the fit, albeit, while leaving a persceptible seam. His quote also didn't include tax. We thought we were done we paid the number on the quote, when he came back demanding $400 for tax. The note about the tax was indeed in the fine print, it's just not our expereince to be given a number that didn't already include it. It seemed like a tactic to artifically lower the number he expected to be paid in the end.

  • The owner took the top back to the shop and had the flaps sewn up while I waited and I was out the door with the repaired top in no time. Others in my office have also had work done at Maitland Auto Upholstery and have also had exceptional service.

  • When we were in the store we had a great experience. Everyone was friendly and the sales people were professional. However once we bought our items it was a total bait and switch. We paid for delivery and setup. Nothing was setup. We chose an 8 piece sales package that included a chair. The chair didn't come. When we called the store to find out what was going on everyone was rude. The chair wasn't on our official receipt, but is in all the informational printouts and paperwork we received. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. They made no effort to fix the problem only kept insinuating that it was my fault. The salesman, Dennis, told us we chose the tv over the chair. But the package we chose included both. The price we paid reflects both a chair and a tv. I'm so disappointed in my service here. I really thought we got a good deal and now I feel completely lied to and betrayed. I won't do business with this company again, unless it's online where I have 100% control. Which is what I wanted to do in the first place. But the salesman pushed us to buy in the store. Probably because he makes commission, and I'm sure he's paid on profit and makes more money when he screws over families like my own. Buyer beware. Go somewhere that doesn't have the equivalent of car salesman using high pressure tactics to get you to buy. If you do choose to buy here make sure you read your receipt and not just all the package paperwork. What a scam.

  • Family furniture surpassed our expectations in every way, they were so easy and accommodating to deal with, and the desk looks like LIKE BRAND NEW and works perfectly.  This is a family heirloom and is very special.  They made it come to a "new" life and we so so grateful.  We will bring anything else we need re-done and recommend them to everyone.  What a gem to have close to home ! Thank you so much!

  • We wanted to replace all the appliances in the kitchen so we took a trip to the store based off reviews from this website. Our salesman, Mr. David Cole helped us right away and listened to what we wanted. We were very pleased with his customer service and knowledge of the different products. Southeast Steel as a good selection of different products at all price ranges and never once did we feel that he was trying to sell us on the more expensive items. As I said earlier, he listened to us and showed us products that he felt best matched what we wanted.
    All four (refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher) appliances we delivered that weekend. I felt that the communication from the delivery staff was excellent. They showed up exactly on time and within an hour all of our old stuff was gone and the new stuff installed and working.
    I recommend Southeast Steel because they are a local business and they know their products. Everyone we came in contact with from Southeast Steel was knowledgeable and had a great customer service attitude. We never felt pushed to more expensive items that we didn't need. I can't think of a single thing that could of gone better.
    I did not review them on price because we did not shop around. They were our first and last stop.

  • Thoughtful, knowledgeable, and helpful sales presentation in the store. Very helpful in explaining the features of the various machines and the various strengths and weaknesses of each. After looking at the same products in several big box stores, we returned to Southeast Steel and bargained some on the price. We were able to obtain a slightly discounted price. Delivery was the day I asked for it and was on time. Installation went well-both installers were polite, friendly, and quick. They hooked up the new machines and carted off our old ones. My wife is very satisfied with the purchase.

  • When they put the bed in, I could hold onto one of the posts & the whole bed would sway back & forth because it was made out of soft metal.
    The box spring had a razor cut on the bottom. I said I wanted it replaced & that I'd send it back. The manager said not to send it back & that they'd replace it Monday. I called Monday & Tuesday when I received no word. When I spoke to the same manager on Tuesday, she said she wasn't sending a replacement & that I should just be happy with what I received. I called back Wednesday after calming down from that discussion, & she refused to talk to me. After a few days of calling she finally took my call, she got on the phone & told me she still wasn't replacing anything & hung up. I went down to the store. She got in her car & left when she found it was me waiting to talk to her. I talked to someone else & got their corporate phone number. I just wanted a new box spring, a new bed frame, or my money back. Corporate told me that he'd call the office & order my money back - and to never do business with them again. Which I haven't! Their furniture is cheap anyway.

  • Steve is really sweet and knows his stuff. His late father, Harold, used to tune my pianos, and both men and the whole family is super to deal with. He tunes the piano in my office/studio as well as the ones in my home. I am a professional musician, and he's in my office on a regular schedule; I've said something about the pitch of some notes, and he's made minuscule adjustments. The weighting of the keyboard response has been personalized, nice since I have incipient carpal tunnel in both wrists. At home I have two pianos, one grand, one spinet, and he lavishes the same marvelous care on both instruments. He also tunes them together, going back and forth to get the best mix without any tangle of vibrations. Any repairs or replacements are done at a fair fee. And he has a loving attachment to the pianos, seeming to care for each as though they were a loved family member. You can't go wrong with Steve!
