    JOHN-JOHN AUTOMOTIVE
We took our car in for a/c work. Air in our Honda Civic was blowing cool air but not very cold at all. They did a diagnostic check and told us they thought it “could” be the evaporator. They quoted us a total of $1500 for the needed repairs but were only about 85% sure that would resolve the issues. If that didn’t work, then they would need to replace the compressor which would cost another $700, putting us at a total of over $2000. We asked them to NOT make the repairs because we felt the quote was very high, having had this same issue in another of our Honda’s and we were told we live on the beach so things are more expensive. We had to pay $124 just for them to look at it and not know exactly what was wrong, but to guess. Then as I was leaving with the vehicle to take it somewhere else the Manager/Owner Jeff told me he hoped I would be able to get it fixed, like if I left I had NO chance of having the issue resolved. We took it to another local mechanic who said the only issue was a relay switch, which they didn’t even charge us to replace. The air is now working great. We called Jeff back to let him know the situation and to explain we felt Taken advantage of with a costly unnecessary repair suggestion, but mostly we felt that the charge to look at it was excessive. The new mechanic did the same diagnostic work and actually fixed it and didn’t even charge us for that repair or part. Jeff did not even offer us a refund on our payment we made or even ask how to make the situation right. Jeff just stated that they do not suggest work not needed. He He also said that the repair made was impossible to have fixed the issue, however that is what happened. Then he even said that maybe them removing some excess Freon from the car may have dislodged a blockage and “MAGICALLY” fixed the issue. So not only did he not fix the issue, but somehow claims the mechanic that DID fix it didn’t actually fix it, but they “ACCIDENTALLY” fixed it so we should be happy. I do not recommend using this mechanic. And if you do, make sure and do you homework. Not just about the price but the actual work that is being claimed needs to be done.

Fort Walton Radiator Auto Air & Repair
Danny knows how to treat customers - brought my old Ford Ranger truck in for oil change, fluids check, tire pressure check - all was done at very reasonable price and Danny even offered additional $10 off for email signup. Am going to return for pre-purchase inspection of next vehicle, and for any other vehicle related repairs or service. Found my mechanic. Highly Recommended

    Accurate Japanese Repair Inc
Accurate Japanese Repair Inc were excellent. I had taken the car to several other places to correct the problem - the timing belt kept breaking. This Company actually found the problem which was a worn part and it is now fixed. They are very knowledgeable and found the problem which no one else could. I had the car in other places and it cost me several thousand dollars trying to diagnose this problem. They found it right away. They are knowledgeable about foreign cars, which mine is, and they had the parts there. They were very efficient, they didn't do anything they didn't need to do, and they solved the problem. They took me right away and they did the job within one day.

    Madison Automotive
I had just made a long 700 mile trip to visit my sister. I noticed that my car started shaking at about 55 -65 mph. I had 4 new tires that had less than 4000 miles on them.  I thought I might have lost one of the tire weights.  My sister called her mechanic who they have used for years (Steve at Madison Automotive) and he said he'd be glad to take a look at it when I got in.  I took the car to him( at 3pm), he checked the balance (they were out of balance) and rotated them since I almost had 5000 miles on them.  He took the car for a drive and that did not correct the problem.  They noticed my check engine light was on (which I believed to be from the catalytic converter) and ran a diagnostic (which he did not charge me for) and coded out many misfires.  They put the car in the dark and noticed sparks from worn wires. He called and said he  thought it might be the right front axle, but there was no way to know for sure without replacing it.  there was the possibility that it could be the left, but in his experience, it usually was the right.  He had even called a co-mechanic he knew, that said if he put the car up on the rack, removed the tires and spun the wheel, he may be able to see if the right or left wobbled.  He was unable to tell with that.  He also said that I really needed a tuneup.  I have had the car for 8 years and it has never had the plugs and wires replaced. He really struck me as a concerned and extremely thorough mechanic that was more interested in the safety of my car than adding more and more to my bill.  My sister highly recommended him, so I said ok. And.....he was right on it with his experience....it was the right axle. He had to order the axle that afternoon, he started on it the next day and had it for me that afternoon.  Take into account, he a  lot full of cars to work on.        The work was excellent, I put another 800 miles on my car heading home, and if it wasn't so far to go and see him. I'd let him do all of my work.          I could not have been more pleased with his work. It was an excellent experience when finding yourself out of town and needing to trust someone with your only means of transportation.

    Tire Town
We couldn't have asked for better service or nicer people. When we were towed into Tire Town we had the usual apprehensions about being broken down in a strange city, and being over charged because you were at the mercy of the repair shop. But totally opposite events occurred. We knew before we arrived that it would be necessary to order the tires that we needed for the Z3 if it wasn't possible to repair the damaged tire and as it was late in the day, we didn't have much hope of being back on the road in a timely manner. The crew at Tire Town immediately pulled the car in to check it out when we arrived and we knew very quickly that it could not be repaired.  At that point the manager was on the line checking to see when and where he could get us tires.  The price he quoted for a complete set was actually lower than we had paid about 4 years ago so we were happy with that. As for the service, he told us that the tires could be in any time between 10 and 2 the next day so we were going to have to spend the night.  He recommended a new Fairfield Inn that was about a block away and we were able to get a reservation and just intended to walk over and check in.  At that point, he said he could give us a "loaner tire" so we would have use of the car for the evening in case we wanted to go out to dinner or look around the town.  Before we knew it, the loaner was on the car and we were off.  He called the next morning at 10 to tell us the tires we in.  We dropped the car off and almost before we could walk back to the hotel, he called to say that it was ready to go.   When we arrived back at the shop it was out and ready to hit the road.  He told us that we should get an alignment but it wasn't urgent and we could wait and do it when we got home.  All in all, the service and attitude of the group of people is excellent.  It could have been a horrible experience but instead they made every effort to assist us and get us back on the road in a timely manner.
