Landscape Lighting reviews in Lutz

    Accurate LED
Chris was excellent. He is not a salesman or front office type guy. He is the guy who actually installs the lights, and as a licensed electrician he speaks with knowledge. I was confident enough in his ability and integrity to pay him before actually seeing the installed lights at night. He then came out twice to reposition lights and make some changes. I unhesitatingly recommend him.

    Elegant Accents Landscape Lighting
Jeff did a great job explaining the different fixtures available and recommending which ones would work best with the effects that we were attempting to achieve. He had all the lights placed and came over after sunset so we could review the results and make adjustments before they were permanently installed. Very happy with the final results.

    Creative Landscape Lighting USA
When we first spoke with Dave, he thoroughly explained his process of design and installation. We said we wanted the front of the house, all palms and back yard illuminated. We made an appointment for a night demonstration but he first came by during the day to look at the area to better help him determine the type of lighting, fixtures, etc. During the night demo we knew he wasn't going to be able to light the entire yard at once, but when we saw what he had done, we were in awe! We then spent quite a bit of time as we worked with various types of fixtures, where we wanted them placed, the type of light (cool vs warm) they would project and the different angles and beams. The job was completed over the course of a few days and we were able to see the finished product as he unveiled it for us not at dusk or sunset, but only in the dark! Wow! Just beautiful!!! He continued to make adjustments that night until everything was perfect. We are needless to say very happy with every single aspect of the service Dave has provided to us. We plan on installing a few more lights along our lanai and will absolutely recommend him to our neighbors and friends. We contacted two other lighting companies and decided on Creative Landscape Lighting USA and we were not disappointed. Quality products, no big box store items here, quality workmanship and quality design. Dave has not only provided us with a gorgeous lighting design, but he gave us service with integrity, honesty and professionalism. We can not recommend him enough!!

    Creative Landscape Lighting USA

Most legitimate businesses handle themselves professionally at all times; even when they're involved in a dispute with a customer. Then there are people like Dave Bechtel (Creative Landscape Lighting USA, Inc). We hired him to install Landscape lighting on our property. After 1 ½ days on the job he walked off, leaving all the wiring in place along with chipped driveway pavers, damage (holes) to two (2) downspout connections for our gutters.  From the onset Mr. Bechtel was confused regarding changes to the initial estimate as we made some modifications to the types of lights which changed the warranty, etc.  When he finally showed up for the job on 4/18, after changing the start date 2 times, he began working without notifying us he was physically present on the property. He seems to do what he wants with little concern for the homeowner. We are now in the process of hiring another contractor to install the lighting on our property. Our experience with Dave was short lived and unpleasant.

Dave's unprofessional behavior didn't stop there. When I called him after his hasty departure from the job, he became verbally combative, loud and obnoxious to a point that I had to end the conversation.  I was highly surprised to read all the positive comments posted on Angies?s list which was one of the reason we initially selected Mr. Bechtel.  Maybe he was just having a bad day, yet that is still no excuse. I don't like writing negative reviews on any business owner, but in this particular instance I feel it?s my responsibility to let Angies?s list patrons know?customer beware!

Landscape Lighting Repair & Installations, Inc.

Quality and general service were fine.  LLR discovered an error in its estimate after the agreement was signed and the installation was underway.  We balked at the proposed price hike and were disappointed in LLR's initial hardball tactics.  However, after some discussion, LLR management honored the quoted price, conceding more than we expected or had even asked for.  The new lighting system looks great and is working well.  We would have no reservations about engaging LLR for additional work in the future.

Landscape Lighting Repair & Installations, Inc.

The technician did a very good job.  (Forgive me, I'm forgetting the gentleman's name!  It's been almost two months since the service and I'm just getting a chance to post the review now.)  He found 19 bulbs that needed to be replaced and did so.  The bulbs were pricer than I had envisioned they would be, but not knowing the price of landscape bulbs, I can't complain.

He also re-set the timers and provided me with a quote if we wanted to put in a better system at some future point.  We had two fixtures that he was not able to repair, but he could not replace them because he said they were 'Home Depot lights' and they didn't have anything like that and didn't know much about them.  So it's frustrating that we still have two lights that don't work and nothing we can do about them unless we replace the whole system (or cut those lights out).

But considering what he had to work with, I was happy with the work that was performed and the lighting looks great at night!  I would definitely use LLR again.

    Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Clearwater
The landscape lighting installed by Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Clearwater & Tampa Bay is superb! Robert met with us several times to discuss options and work up very detailed plans. The job was quite extensive and included uplights on trees, path lights, and sconces for a pavilion. The light fixtures look fantastic and greatly enhance the look of the home at night. Robert was
also prompt to respond when we had follow-up questions. We couldn't be happier. Very professional! We can highly recommend them.

    Electric Today
The service was very responsive and punctual, which is why giving them an A rating on those. The pricing for most items were reasonable. Except one line item. To replace 5 bulbs, they charged $99. I supplied the bulbs. It took the electrician less than 10 mins to do that. That makes his hourly labor rate $99 x 6 = $594 / hour. Only the high end lawyers get to charge something like that. There should be some correlation between the amount charged to the customer with the time it takes to do the job. This explains my C rating on pricing. They did get my approval on the pricing. I will also give them one thing - this is not just them - the electrical work industry is like this. Hoping someday to get a company who will be a disruptor to this odd pricing model that does not charge based on time spent. The additional volume of work for being more reasonable should pay for the more logical rate.
Other than this, one other odd thing happened. The Fan started having an weird issue in the evening - the fan light started blinking by itself! Looked like a loose connection. The remote won't work and the wall switches were bypassed. I had to turn off the breaker switch which took nearly a quarter of my home out of power for the whole night and next day morning. To their credit - they did come on Saturday. I am confused about the root cause of the problem. At one point the electrician mentioned "the neutral came off too easily" thinking that's what caused the loose connection. Then eventually he said the remote transmitter is bad. I got a replacement from Home Depot. After replacing it worked. Why the transmitter went bad, is anybody's guess. They did waive the installation fee of the transmitter, but charged a trip fee of $49.
