    Ibis Painting
Ali and Yhonny were amazing. Ali showed up to do the estimate and 3 days later the job was completed. Yhonny and his team were so professional and thorough. We would definitely recommend them. As a matter of fact we are having them complete the rest of the rooms early next year.

Benchmark Painting & Carpentry of Boynton Beach, LLC
I selected Benchmark because it got the highest number
of Angie's A-ratings for exterior house painting, but was still
surprised at how good they turned out to be. No matter who I dealt with
in the company, I got near instantaneous responses from Kellie who routed
all my calls so that I got immediate callbacks, to Bob who was point
man from getting the estimate, advising me on technical issues and
preparing the contract, to Ken and Damian, who pressure washed my house
and every horizontal surface on my property (which were mostly free
above what the contract required, and also did all the painting and
clean up which stretched over four days because of rain, and finally to
Jessica, who advised me on discounts by telling a co-worker what to tell
me, since she busy reconnecting her new complex phone system underneath
the furniture in her office.  Five people, and five gems.
When they promptly showed up at 8 AM the first day, I told Ken
and Damian that I only had three hours sleep, and they should call my
phone if I slept through the door bell. For all four days, I slept
through till lunch--they didn't yell, bang ladders, play radios, or need
    to bother me.
Also, they somehow noticed a basketball court about 75 feet from the
house, and pressure washed that.  They also did two paths of paver
stones, which were not strictly walkways or driveways according to the
contract.  Damian asked me how I liked what he did with the iron
house-address numbers, and when I looked up, he had carefully painted
them with a tiny brush in the golden paint they used on the house, which
was a real decorator touch against the white trim color.   One other
thing--they used my garden hose, and left it perfectly coiled, which was
much neater than I had left it.
You should get the impression that Benchmark tries to make sure
that I ended up happy with their special consideration and
professionalism. I have already asked them to give me a bid on
re-painting my deck and replacing some floor boards, and when I
accumulate more money, will have them do the interior of my entire
If you have any questions you want to ask me, I have given
permission to them to give me your phone and I will call you, and I will
feel that I've gone the extra step for them as they have done for me.

They were very good. I needed it done right away and he had three guys out the next morning. They showed up promptly and they did the job within a few hours. Everything was good. I think that they did very good work and they were punctual. They cleaned up when they were done. It was a reasonable price. I would use them again.

    Black Gold Contractors
Rod WAS AMAZING!  He responding to all my phone calls and emails in less than 24 hours and is an extremely friendly and talented guy.  I have painted a few rooms in my home myself--I am a bit of a DIY-er, but watching him paint the kitchen with such skill and ease makes me want to hire him for all my painting ideas in the future.  My favorite part of the experience was when Rod noticed the terra cotta color of my dining room and suggested we paint that same color along the underside of the kitchen bar area.  It perfectly complimented my new butter colored kitchen and made the whole space pop!  Just what I wanted but couldn't have even imagined!
I highly recommended Black Gold contractors for all your home paint and contracting needs! :) Rod really goes above and beyond--and for that, he's earned my loyalty and future business!
    Thanks, Rod!

Do not be taken in by Joe Russo.  He is not as he seems.  As time went by a different scenario began to develop.  Joe Russo told us his painters would start on our house in 2 weeks.  Date should have been  June 27th.  To be fair it rained on some of those days so can understand the delay.  However, I expected Joe to call us to adjust the date but never did.  I called him at end of 2 weeks for new start date.  Joe told me the end of the next week or beginning of next week.  The next week came and went, no call and no show.  We thought they would start on Mon of the next week.  Still no show and no call.  We were ready to leave on Tues to shop for other material we needed for further reno and painters show up.  I called Joe to see why nothing was confirmed prior to them showing up and let him know if they had been 10 min later they would have a wasted trip from Stuart as all would have been locked and unable to enter property.  His explanation was ?he told me end of the week or first of the next week.?  Very poor communication on Joe?s part, not professional at all.  This already did not set well with me and made me anxious.

Painters did not work on Fri, Jul 13, 2012, was told they had something else planned. Found out the next week they painted a dentist office. So much for Joe?s not wanting them to work more than 1 job at a time. Maybe another miscommunication!

Started painting the interior on Thurs Jul 19th.  We had removed approximately 10 ft of crown moulding in the living and dining area to have repaired.  Explained to the painters we would have that done before they finished if possible and that was to be painted as well.  The moulding was there when Joe did his estimate and was part of the job.  The moulding was completed 3 days before they supposedly finished the interior paint.  This was not painted!!

We explained to painters what the agreement was with Joe for the cabinets and vanity - explained to Joe that we wanted cabinets sanded as they were laminate, then  primer paint, and paint with oil base paint.  He had agreed and painter said ?sounds about right?.

Mon, Jul 23, 2012 must have been ?D? day.  They had been taking their time until today.  They were in a rush to finish the job and actually stayed later to try and finish.  They cleaned everything up and ready to leave without asking if all was ok.  We made them get paint out of van as they had missed several places.
    1. We had painted one set of base cabinet and primed 2 doors.  They missed painting the doors until they were screwed back on base cabinet.  Painter roller painted these and left the door edges with white primer and thought this would be satisfactory!!   They did not sand, or use primer paint on the rest of the cabinets or doors.  Did not use roller for remainder doors (20).  Spray painted the doors outside in 90-93 degree heat and expected it to dry properly.  The doors should have been painted in a controlled environment such as a shop in air conditioning.  Needless to say they turned out horrible and they were placed back on cabinets and expected to pass. Paint bubbled, rough, light and dark places.  I told them they would not do. I told them we were not happy and needed to talk to Joe.  I tried to call several times but got voice mail and no call back.  I tried to call Joe 3 times before they left, got voice mail.

    2. Very sloppy in their work.  Did not use plastic to cover furniture, etc.!!  Have found paint on my leather couch, computer, desk, printer, TV stand, TV, etc.   They painted the underside of my new granite counter top in the kitchen and bath with oil base paint.  Why didn?t they use tape to protect? On Tues, Jul 24th I called Joe about 5 or 6 times only to receive his voice mail.  Finally left message that I would give him a bad review on Angie?s list, and do whatever, or go wherever I needed to resolve.  Joe finally called me back (after check was cashed and in his account -  big mistake on my part) and said his people would fix them,  give him a chance to make it right.  Not so!!  I told Joe on the phone I did not know how they would be able to fix the cabinets at this point, he needed to come see what I was talking about.   Joe was a no show.  Joe scheduled Fri, Jul 27, 2012 for the painters to return and resolve.

    3. Painters show up on thurs Jul 27th to remove doors and prepare for next day.  They stay for less than 2 hrs as one of the painters is frustrated and we are told they will return on Fri.  Fri was a no show and no call.  I call Joe 11 a.m. leave message asking if they are showing up at all.  Joe has painter call me and give me his excuse.  His truck has something wrong with it but he will be here on Sat.  Sat was a no show, no call.  Called Joe and got voice mail.

    4. Painter shows up on Mon around 11 a.m.   I asked if he was going to roller paint the doors, and primer.  I was told no the spray would work this time.  I told him I didn?t think it would be any different  and if not they could redo again.  They had taken the doors off again sanded some places and spray painted again in the heat.  Came out even worse!!!! Not sure if we are going to be able to salvage them at all at this point.  Evidently Joe does not care!!  I tried to call Joe so many times and always got his voice mail.  He called the painter Mon to see if I wanted to talk to him as he had voice mails when he returned from week-end of camping.  Joe, if you were professional, or cared about the quality of work that your painters do, you would contact me and talk to me not your employees!! You would try to work things out and make it right.  You need to give me a refund for at least the cabinets as your painters ruined them. I can?t even get you to come by and see what they have done.  You want the money as you sure cashed that check the same day written, but it seems you do not care about the quality of work.

    5. The exterior lights on the patio were painted blue to match old paint.  The painters left lights blue. but painted the base (part connected to house) to match house.  If this was quality work wouldn?t you paint the whole light?  We were told that only what touches the house was painted.

    6. The very last day anyone shows up was Tue Jul 31st. One painter arrived around noon and paints inside edge of exterior back door red, and interior of door white.  Said he wasn?t supposed to but he would.  When we told him the moulding was not painted as it should be and the arch in the kitchen needed another coat of paint, he told us he was out of white and gray paint.  Painter put cabinet doors back on.  Next thing we knew he was gone and called it quits.  Very unprofessional!!!!!  Proper thing should have been buy more paint and finish what you were hired to do.

    7. The Patio was pressure washed, however, in the painting of the house they spilled the different colors of paint on the patio and left it.  The outside edge of the patio was not pressure washed.  You can see this from the street. Pointed this out to the painter and said it should also painted to match the house.  It was painted to match, however, did not pressure wash.  Just painted over the mold and dirt, looks horrible.  Now the paint and the mold, etc., will have to be removed to fix.

    8. Three out of four exterior doors ? the inside edge left white, should be red like outside of door.  Can see the white with the door closed.   Looks horrible!

    9. They killed our grass where they cleaned their brushes.  Tape was left on the laundry room ceiling light and did not smooth out compound to fill holes before painting the ceiling (light was changed and had to fill holes where the old light was).

    10. After it is all over, and we evaluate all that was done right and wrong, we still do not know for sure that sealant was used prior to painting exterior as promised.  We did not see any cans/tubs of sealant brought in with the cans/tubs of paint.  They went straight from pressure washing to painting the exterior.  With having to watch everything they did it was hard to keep up with steps taken.  How about it Joe, was the sealant used, and what does it look like, how is it sold, by the 5 gal bucket?  To date I have not heard from, or seen Joe Russo to check if issues have been resolved.

    11. As you can see from my experience I would never, ever, use this person, company, again.  I definitely would not recommend him to anyone.   Unfortunately, the good that they did is outweighed by the bad things.  It ruins the whole job.  I see there are more comments on Angie.  Please do not use this person!

    12. I am posting some photos of what I consider sub-standard work done on my house.

Zef always came when scheduled, working long hours each time.  Some of the long hours were due to his desire to do such excellent work, actually meticulous is an adjective that comes to mind.  Due to some unforeseen problems, he did have to do some additional work, but did not change his bid. Instead he merely stated that if I believed he had to work additional time, I could add a few dollars if I desired, which I did.  Bottom line, if I have any additional need to remodel our kitchen or our other bath, I will certainly call Zef.  Very friendly and easy to work with, a real professional.

Paint N More, LLC dba Remodel Palm Beach
We needed someone to paint the entire interior of our new home within 48 hours due to a last minute closing. We received estimates as high as $5000. After explaining our situation and our budget constraints to Doug, we thought he'd be on his way. Instead, he and his wife, Donna, came to our house anyway to see what they could complete within our budget. They were unable to get a crew together last minute, especially since it was over a weekend. Being the professionals that they are, Doug and his family completed the job. They stayed overnight in an empty house working until the sun came up the next day and then returned again that afternoon to finish the job. The paint colors were wonderful and their advice about the colors I had chosen was spot-on. Their work is meticulous and they went above and beyond what we agreed to in our scope of work. Additionally, Doug and his family are some of the nicest, most prompt and professional people I and my husband have ever met. We would not hesitate to use their services for any of our home improvement needs! We highly recommend Paint N Moore!
