Countertop Installation reviews in Loxahatchee

Excellent! This company responds in a very timely manner! We set an appointment, Havier took time to go over details, select a product, gave us a few optional prices, scheduled work. The employees that performed the work were excellent! We used a plumbing company they work with and the coordination was excellent! This company has a good selection of products to choose from. We had checked with 3 other companies and we feel good that we made the right choice!

Began great. Great computer renderings and help making a plan. Then the delays began. Multiple problems arose from poor measurements and planning. Worst of all was $7,000 built in refrigerator did not fit. Contractor made many efforts to fix but after fixing so many of her mistakes he told me he would never work with her again and walked away from the job leaving lots unfinished. It is 7 months later and my refridgerator still has no hardware and does not fit, panels on end cabinet never obtained or installed, panel and sides of hood never done. Wood flooring never completed with bare concrete steps. Plastering and dry wall fixes that were promised never done. Her electrician never completed work either. Mistakes happen and if you are a responsible adult professional you look to fix them. She got paid and walked away from all the problems. I hired Lynn because of all the positive reviews on Angie's List. But now I don't believe for a second they are real. Truly one of the worst experienced in my life.

Our visit to Granite & Marble Fabrication & Installation found a friendly family run and helpful staff that made all our other considerations pale in comparison. We not only found what we wanted in an extensive granite selection, but were pleased to learn everything was going to be done in-house as well as installed by GMFI.
With a date agreed upon the process began. A team came to our house as scheduled to take all the measurements and make final cut & fit decisions.  Two weeks later the team returned to remove our old counters and install the new granite. Fast, courteous and professional, just as if it was their home.
What we received was just magical!  It transformed our kitchen into a new center of our home.  You can't help running your fingers across the granite in disbelief of how beautiful they look. If you are considering stonework, GMFI is the balance of selection craftsmanship and service you will want.

This vendor was very professional and responsive to initial request for a quote. He was on time for the appointment and measured our cabinetry, reviewed choices with us and proceeded to write up the estimate. While still reviewing options the vendor kept moving the estimate in front of me with the pen for me to sign the order. When I read the terms on the contract it stated the vendor was not responsible for the install and that we would pay the installer direct. This differed from what the vendor verbally related. When questioned he said don't worry about that. When I asked if this verbiage was not correct why have it on the contract. It was there he explained because he did not want to pay for their liability insurance. I said because I also did not care to pay for any of their liability either could he provide a certificate of insurance for his subcontractor not a problem he said but not sure what the big deal is. When I said he needed to revise the language in the contract to reflect what I was paying for just write anything you want he said while getting obviously obnoxious. When he revised and signed only my copy and not his I told him he needed to have the same revision on both copies of the order for both of us to sign. His irritation now visibly escalating. At this point I told him we we wanted to review the agreement and verify the existence of the subcontractor insurance coverage and meet with him 2 days later to sign and pay the deposit. He immediately stopped final measurements and stated he was not going to waste any more of his time if we were not going to sign the contract immediately. He packed all his samples and supplies and his bad attitude and left. I called his office the next day to give my fax number so he could provide the insurance verification. As totally expected we have never heard from him again. Buyer Beware.
Let this be a reminder to all to read the fine print. Hiring a contractor who uses uninsured workers can be a very costly decision. On a good note we have since hired a reputable contractor at less cost with a granite countertop upgrade.

I first reached out to them in June about the project. They didn't start until November 1st. The work was substandard. They sent out multiple sub-contractors to do the work. There was a language barrier with the workers, many of which did't speak English. The overall communication was bad and I was not made aware of when they would be at the home to do work.

I contacted Bob to fix a relatively easy leak around the sink in the kitchen. His work people were very polite and did the job in a very professional manner, coming at the time they specified. Having spoken to Bob, I asked him to come over for advice as I wanted my bathroom redone in marble. His professional advice was invaluable and his estimates for his work were spot on. We did the bathroom without a contractor and Bob recommended some people to do the various other work , plumbing , glass works etc. All of the people did their work as specified and they worked well together doing a very difficult job in total coordination, so that no time was wasted. Bob was in charge of coordinating this. All of this work was done within the six weeks he specified. Already satisfied with the work we took him on to redo our kitchen totally , including the dining , sitting and living area. Because of the dust we knew this would involve we asked that they complete the work in three weeks, while we go away for a holiday . This was  done with an interior designer and upon our return , we had a completely new section of the home. Our last work with Bob was to ask him to recommend a suitable tile for our pool area , as it was painted before and looked shabbily dirty from the rainfall coming through the screen at all times. I have nothing but the best regards for Mr. Featherstone's work and would recommend him highly to anyone desiring any type of tile work done. His is a very professional company and he will advice you on different options to suit your budget.

From the first meeting with their sales representative to the completion of my Kitchen I was extremely impressed.  They did an outstanding job.  Each and every person who came to our house was prompt polite and professional.  From the day of signing the contract to completion was less than a month and only took less than 4 days to complete.  Each day they left I did not have to clean up after them as they cleaned up after themselves.   I love my kitchen now and cant wait to show it off....Thank you to all of you  Affordable Kitchen

Started out ok. They came out and did a rough draft, and got the measurements, then they dropped the ball. Left me hanging with a slab of granite, no template, no install date. And this was the last slab, and I still don't know if I can have it...if its too small I'll need to find something else. Without that template, I'm not going to know..

I would like to add that in the end, Jader did the right thing, the job was completed in one day. It went well, neat, clean, and efficient.. The granite is beautiful. He was very apologetic and I believe him, because he does have an excellent reputation. So, with all the misunderstandings behind me,  When I decide to do my bathrooms, I will be calling Jader.

We were shown all the available granite and she gave us small samples of the 3 pieces that I liked to bring home and see which ones we wanted to purchase.  We gave them a graph of the measurements for the counters.  We were provided an estimate of costs for the granite (all 3 of them) with the understanding it might be more or less depending on the measurements when they came to do the template.  They also gave us sinks free with the purchase of the granite.  We went back to the store 3 days later and told them which pieces of granite we would like to purchase.  We selected a piece that was left over from a previous job that was large enough for the countertop in the master bath and a brand new piece for the kitchen.  We placed a deposit on the granite and said we would schedule a date for the template as we were sanding, and painting the cabinets.  We also removed the old countertops and backsplash ourselves which saved us some money.  I am glad that we did as we found the old countertop had rotted behind the sink and we had time to ensure there was no mold or anything else going on before they installed the new ones.
When we called to schedule the template/measure.  The gentleman came the next day and measured.  Luckily we were right on with our measurements and actually came out a little less than the quote, which was good!  We increased the deposit to half and they started cutting the granite right away.  They do their own cutting and fitting at Brazilian Marble.  I have an L shape countertop which has the kitchen sink and breakfast bar.  The cut for this countertop is located in the center of the double sink.  They carefully glued the pieces together.  You can feel the seam but cannot see it.  I must say that we are thrilled with the results.   The 2 guys that installed the granite worked the whole time they were here, were very professional, knew what they needed to do, answered all of our questions, and made sure we were satified with the work.  I would highly recommed Brazilian Marble to anyone, and will definitely use them again.
I called a company that uses your old countertops and glues granite on top.  The quote they gave me was twice the amount of the new countertop.  Other places that we priced were even more than double the price of Brazilian Marble.
