Lighting Installation reviews in Lighthouse Point

Florida Palm Construction went above and beyond my expectations. They worked dilligently to satisfy a very stringent inspection team to meet Pompano Beach building permit codes and standard practices. They worked very well to overcome many unforeseen complications with my older home.

Once plans were submitted to the city and approved, work began on the new footer and floor. Framing, windows, insulation, drywall, electrical and replacing the ac fell into place. Our only holdups were with the city and inspections and the weather and constant rain. The work that Florida Palm did was as promised and more! Many thanks to the site supervisor Robert who kept all the workers on task.

Most importantly, I would totally recommend All County Contractors because the final product is exactly what I wanted and even a little more of what I didn't know I wanted! Everyone states that you should get more than one opinion of a job. During ACC's first trip to our house, we knew we wanted to do business with them. They were on time. "On Time" isn't alway a major priority when doing remodels but it's important to ACC and us as the customer. We tried getting other quotes but the warranty wasn't as we were promised with ACC, the schedule wasn't as fast, and the attention to detail wasn't quite as skilled. James is amazing. He lead the work at the house and was present everyday and is a part of a "top notch" construction crew. He always asked what I wanted and how I wanted something to look. After I gave my request, he made sure it happened. If he ever had doubt about my request, there was always a good reason about why it wouldn't work. He definitely knew what he was talking about because his explanation for saying "no" always had good reasoning. I completely trust his judgment. Work began and the amazing team had our kitchen demo done very quickly. They were very careful about covering the floor, setting up plastic to cover anything that didn't need to get dusty and clean up all messes. Install was started and a major "bump" was the hurricane. They worked on the kitchen as long as they could before the storm and started back as soon as everything was safe. I was shocked as how fast they got back to the job. We had other little blips on the radar, such as the tile being a complicated design but the backsplash came out perfectly. The cabinets needs some adjusting but they are exactly what I requested. Drawers didn't roll as smoothly as they could but James adjusted them and not they are as smooth as butter! Our sink didn't fit as expected but James didn't complain and made it work perfectly. Price is extremely important. All County was about $300 more an another quote we received. It was also a few thousand less a third quote. We went with ACC because they seemed to "have it together" better than the other companies. They explained that we weren't going to get nickeled and dimed over silly extras. They were right. We did purchase additional items above what they completed but that's because they are personal items such as the sink, faucet, cabinet pulls, countertop, and tile. This was my first remodel and I have no regrets. All County Contractors did an exceptional job. I want to "sit" in my kitchen and admire it. I love the work and fine details that made it perfect. I learned that no job works as planned. There will always be some big and little bumps as the work happens but in the end, I completely got the kitchen I wanted. Thank you All County Contractors.

Doug was a great and experienced electrician. The whole team, from making the appointment to doing the work, was professional and courteous. Very reasonable pricing and no pressure to do any additional work. Thank you.

I am not one for leaving unfavorable reviews, however this experience warranted one. The only reason I am not leaving an F is because he did a decent job with the install. Although now after reading the reviews of this company, I see that I am not the only one who experienced issues. I purchased a deal for $99 for two hours of electrical service. I redeemed the deal on December 8th. The appointment was set from 10am-12pm, at 12pm, the owner sent me a text saying that he was running late and would be there within the hour, a hour and half later he appeared. When I set the appointment, I told him over the phone what I wanted done and he said no problem, however when he arrived he said that this was more work than he anticipated. The three projects should not have taken an experienced electrician more than two hours. The projects were: changing out a ceiling fan, changing out a kitchen light fixture and replacing the range hood, very simple projects that even a handyman could do. Well after many trips to his truck, phone calls and talking to me while working, he spent three hours installing the ceiling fan. No new wiring needed, just a switch out. When it came to the other two projects, he said that he would be charging me additional service call fees. He mentioned that it took him so long to complete the fan install, because it was harder than expected, which was not true. Obviously, he was stalling to have me pay for the additional projects. I was nice enough to give him my old fan and he spent time packing that up into his truck, meanwhile I had no idea he was counting that as work time. With all of his trips to his truck, phone calls etc. He probably spent 45 minutes of actual time working. After he was finished with the fan, he said he had to charge me extra. Also he mentioned that Angies list charges him 40% for the eblasts, and that the ads purpose is to attract large homes and larger projects and not small condo work like mine. At 5:30pm he finally left. So basically this ruined my whole day off. He was an hour and a half late, took 4 hours to complete 2 simple projects and cost me $205 dollars in total. He was so petty, that he charged me for 5 tap cons. He had the nerve to say that I could buy another Angies List deal, so he could come back and replace the range hood. That would cost me double the cost of the range hood itself. This is a bad outlook to have on his part, even though my condo may not be what he was hoping for, I do know several people with larger homes that I could have referred them to his company. The work he completed was ok, however I would never recommend this company, the lack of professionalism and the fact that he took advantage of a single woman is beyond disappointing. Im sorry, but if it takes an electrician who has over 25 years experience to change out a fan 3.5 hours, something is wrong. He also left my kitchen a complete disaster, when he drilled into the ceiling all the debris went everywhere, he did no clean up, his caulking was left on my wood floors and he didnt even have the decency to throw away the old lighting fixture, he left that outside for me to dispose of. Totally unacceptable. I am not one for complaining, and I am not asking for anything, however I trusted that Angies List would have reputable companies and subcontractors listed. After this experience I will be more hesitant to select businesses based on this website.

I can tell initially a lot about service providers by how responsive they are  to my inquiries, and Pristine and Mark, the owner, were quite prompt. Upon meeting Mark, I was impressed by his knowledge, professionalism, and pleasant personality. He made some excellent money saving suggestions and was quick to get back to me with the proposal, which turned out to be quite reasonable.
The job started exactly when Mark said it would, and he showed with his uniformed crew, all ready to begin. Mark was on hand most of the day and came by the next day to make some of the minor adjustments.
I cannot say enough about his crew; they were diligent, polite, and cleaned up the property after the job was completed. I thought the job might take two days, but the 5 or 6 man crew worked tirelessly to get everything done before dark.
Having lived in South Florida since 1974, I know all too well about the quality of service providers in the area. But I can assure you that Pristine Landscapes and Mark Sommer will not let you down. A superb job at a reasonable price is the formula for a happy homeowner.

Overall the work was done and not performed poorly. Electric panel install generally went fine - they worked late to get it installed in a tough location of the house, and works fine. Main issues were the panel was not set level (its crooked) and its set back in the box. They also didn't completely label all the circuit breakers in the panel.
Outdoor wiring worked fine, it took them quite a while to complete as they were working on multiple jobs at once, but after about 6 weeks of work it was completed. 1 outdoor light didn't work and they came back and fixed it.
Main disappointments were that the bar light that was promised in the original quote was never delivered, and responsiveness and timing to complete the work was not always good - I always had to reach out and get updates vs. vice-versa.

It was easy and quick to get the appt set up. The gentleman that I spoke to on the phone was very nice and gave me a lot of good information about what the work would entail. The two young men that came to do the work were courteous, professional, friendly, and were very sweet to my nosy dog that wanted to be up in their business. They did a fantastic job, kept me in the loop on what they were doing if I needed to know, and made sure I was satisfied before they left. They cleaned up everything (you can't even tell they were there except I have a light!) and they even spent extra time to speak with me regarding questions I had about future projects on my home. Not only would I hire this company again, I am planning to do it for all of the projects on my list.
