Cabinet Making reviews in Lighthouse Point

  • If only I could experience the same high degree of punctuality, professionalism, competence, and cooperativeness I just had with Chris's and his workers, with every company I employ, life would be grand indeed. Chris is a man who takes pride in his work and his goal is to please. He exceeded my wife and my expectations (and we are fussy). I would recommend his services without qualification.

  • Most importantly, I would totally recommend All County Contractors because the final product is exactly what I wanted and even a little more of what I didn't know I wanted! Everyone states that you should get more than one opinion of a job. During ACC's first trip to our house, we knew we wanted to do business with them. They were on time. "On Time" isn't alway a major priority when doing remodels but it's important to ACC and us as the customer. We tried getting other quotes but the warranty wasn't as we were promised with ACC, the schedule wasn't as fast, and the attention to detail wasn't quite as skilled. James is amazing. He lead the work at the house and was present everyday and is a part of a "top notch" construction crew. He always asked what I wanted and how I wanted something to look. After I gave my request, he made sure it happened. If he ever had doubt about my request, there was always a good reason about why it wouldn't work. He definitely knew what he was talking about because his explanation for saying "no" always had good reasoning. I completely trust his judgment. Work began and the amazing team had our kitchen demo done very quickly. They were very careful about covering the floor, setting up plastic to cover anything that didn't need to get dusty and clean up all messes. Install was started and a major "bump" was the hurricane. They worked on the kitchen as long as they could before the storm and started back as soon as everything was safe. I was shocked as how fast they got back to the job. We had other little blips on the radar, such as the tile being a complicated design but the backsplash came out perfectly. The cabinets needs some adjusting but they are exactly what I requested. Drawers didn't roll as smoothly as they could but James adjusted them and not they are as smooth as butter! Our sink didn't fit as expected but James didn't complain and made it work perfectly. Price is extremely important. All County was about $300 more an another quote we received. It was also a few thousand less a third quote. We went with ACC because they seemed to "have it together" better than the other companies. They explained that we weren't going to get nickeled and dimed over silly extras. They were right. We did purchase additional items above what they completed but that's because they are personal items such as the sink, faucet, cabinet pulls, countertop, and tile. This was my first remodel and I have no regrets. All County Contractors did an exceptional job. I want to "sit" in my kitchen and admire it. I love the work and fine details that made it perfect. I learned that no job works as planned. There will always be some big and little bumps as the work happens but in the end, I completely got the kitchen I wanted. Thank you All County Contractors.

  • Let me preface this review by stating that this company is super professional, cordial and talented.  After reading their reviews, I made up my mind that Wolak Interiors LLC would definitely meet my need to upgrade a section of my kitchen.

Mark returned my initial call right away.  We made an appointment for Chris to come to do an estimate between 10 and 12 on June 7th.  Chris arrived at 10:30, presented the company business card and proceeded to observe the things I needed done in my kitchen.  He said Mark would email the estimate for the labor (I would purchase the items I needed) and I received it June 8th.  The estimate was nicely UNDER my budget.  When I called on June 19th and advised Mark that I had received all my items, he immediately made an appointment to do the work on Monday, June 23d at 9 a.m.

Mark and Chris arrived right on time.  My house was built in 1957 and most likely had the original compression valves which needed to be replaced.  Everything they installed, two compression valves, two base cabinets, new sink, faucet, countertop and backsplash, was done to perfection and in a cheerful manner.  I am a nut for things being level and plumb.  These are the guys for the job.  They even got my slow-filling toilet to work right; and that was not even on the menu.

My whole kitchen looks new now and exceeded my expectations.  This entire experience was a breath of fresh air in a time where a lot of contractors just don't give a hoot.  I will definitely call them for my next project, the kitchen floor!

  • We recently used Wolak Interiors LLC to remodel the kitchen, bathroom and a large portion of the living area in our new condo and have been delighted with the both the process and the results. I have worked with a number of other contractors in the past and know when I'm working with someone who knows their business and takes genuine pride in the quality of the work they're doing- and that certainly describes Mark Wolak and his crew. Although I was pretty sure I wanted to use Wolak Interiors LLC based on a friend's recommendation, I wanted to get bids from other renovation contractors for our remodel just to be thorough. When compared with the other bids, I was very impressed with Wolak's pricing and the level of detail outlined in his bid. Both our kitchen and bathroom look amazing, and both are so much more functional than they were before. We were absolutely delighted that the remodel stayed on schedule and within our budget. The remodel took the demolition of the kitchen and bathroom down to the studs and put it all back together again. Mark helped source all of the new fixtures and finishes through his vendors for the entire remodel which can be a handful if you haven't done it before. He provided us with numerous sources for our kitchen cabinetry also. All the work performed throughout the remodel is of the highest standard and we enjoyed working with Mark and all of his installers. I also appreciated how hard they all worked towards keeping the remodel on schedule and clean. Remodeling, or any kind of renovation, can be very stressful- but having Wolak Interiors LLC as our contractor really helped alleviate the majority of our concerns and I will definitely be calling him for any future renovation needs we may have.

  • After a water leak in the bathroom adjacent to our son's room damaged the wall in back of his bedroom closet, we decided to take the opportunity to install custom closets from floor to ceiling. We did not want the laminate or artificial wood that is readily available and very cheap, because they emit toxins I don't want in my home. I searched on Angie's List for custom cabinet makers, and interviewed about a dozen of them. They were all very nice and interested in the work, and they all had creative ideas. The pricing with all of them was comparable. Mike stood out to us, since he was able to answer all of our questions, had the most understanding about the job, and also had the availability of computer images and machinery to make sure the custom designs and cuts would be made and installed correctly. We went to see his shop, and were impressed by the cleanliness, precision, organization, and pleasant disposition of his staff. We spent a lot of time with Mike, and he was always happy to answer our next question and spend whatever time we needed clarifying the process in order to help us get our ideas on paper and then executed into the final product. He provided us with written computer drawings so we could see the details of the finished closet, before he started the work, and the closet turned out just as we planned. Mike was able to stain the closet to match our son's headboard and it turned out fabulous! It was certainly more of a cost than getting "big box store" self installed closet pieces, but it was worth it. The sliders for the shelves work very smoothly, and the LED lighting inside the closets are a nice finishing touch. It took the installer several trips to get everything done, since there were a few obstacles we needed to deal with, and Mike was great about sticking with the job and coming back until we got everything right. Our son's room looks great, and we are planning to have Mike make a custom desk to match, with dimensions that will allow our son's chair to be tucked in completely and provide him with the extra height he would prefer. We highly recommend Mike for custom cabinet work for any customer who wants real wood products in their home. His wife helps answer the phone and was always pleasant to communicate with as well.

  • Joe Nemet took over this Job when his partner Javier Tueros jumped ship two thirds through the job. Joe was not capable of taking this job over. Everything he tried to accomplish took 3 to 5 times to complete. The veneerer is separating from the wood and none of the seams and corners line up. In addition, it took literally over one hundred calls throughout this job to get work done (I have the phone records to prove it). In the end, I fired him due to lack of performance. He did a horrible job and I would stay away from Joe Nemet and Nemet Custom Woodworking. I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against him for the the mess that he left behind. I had to pay a significant amount of money to get someone else in here to finish the job.

  • The design was decent however the work was horrible. They were never on time and would only show up after many phone calls (I have the phone records to prove it). They built the cabinets out of MDF (cheaper wood) vs Cherry which is what was originally paid for. They cut corners wherever they could. They stained the wood at different times and from what I learned afterwords is that they used different vendors all of the time because they did not pay past bills. I found this out when I tried to get the units toned to match the vendors told me that they were not paid. The end result is that the pieces do not match each other. They are significantly different. Javier jumped ship two thirds through the job and left the remainder to Joe Nemet his former partner who was just as bad if not worse. The end result was I paid in full (have the checks to prove it) and got left with one big mess. Now the wood is coming undone. It is a huge mess. I had to hire someone else to finish the job. I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against both of these guys for the full amount paid as they defrauded me with the quality of wood and the quality of work. Stay away from Masterpieces Woodworking and it's owner Javier Tueros.

  • I want to start off by saying that the end results of their cabinetry work is wonderful. People comment on them all the time, however, partly due to a language barrier there were big problems along the way. They did not measure correctly and had to un-install, remake, and re-install a new set of cabinets. The job took a little over a month instead of the week they promised. I do love the new cabinets but there was a lot of stress involved despite the gifted craftsmanship. They did stand behind their work 100% and I got for what I feel was a very reasonable price. I would hire them again; it was worth it in the end.

  • The project took longer than expected because of my work schedule. They were as accomodating as they could be. Vickey helped me with understanding the whole process. Dave measured & explained how it would all fit in because it was different from my old kitchen. Rodney took out old cabinets & installed the new ones. He takes great pride in his work & answered all of my questions. Each time they came to my apartment they would clean up after doing their work. I had under cabinet lighting put in & they came back & did the trim. I've had numerous compliments on the cabinets & the workmanship.
