I only gave a b for price cause really folks who wants to pay that kinda thing lol really the price was in line with 90% of the industry so it really wasn't bad.     We had a problem with the pipe clogging going into the septic tank--toilet paper in a clunk at the end of the pipe. Fixed ourselves and happened again three weeks later. We decided to call Crews (installed the septic system 41 years ago and we have continued to use Crews for maintenance since that time). They arrived quickly and explained what had happened over the years (settling). They were very informative and offered a solution that was taken care of the next day. Quick, efficient, friendly--we were very happy with the service.

    From the first call to the completed service, exceptional. Elsie on the phone was very informative, friendly and gracious. Lynn came out to do the work and he was FANTASTIC. He taught me all about my system, explained the process from beginning to end. Pumped out 1100 gal tank that was FULL, cleaned filter. He was personable, honest and sincere. Really happy with this company, wouldn't consider using anyone else since this encounter.

    When I contacted them on the Thursday prior to service I asked if I could pay by credit card over the phone because I could not be there when they performed the service. John (one of the owners) told me no problem after they completed the service he would give the information to his receptionist and she would call me for payment. When they showed up the next day my roommate was asked for payment immediately. She was told if they did not receive it the waste would be put back into the tank. When she explained that I was the homeowner and there was a agreement about taking payment over the phone from me the service guy knew nothing about it. My roommate ended up paying out of her pocket so he wouldn't put the waste back in. When I called the roommate after less than two hours of service I immediately contacted John at Moon to find out where the disconnect of our conversation happened. I told him I didn't appreciate how my roommate was basically threatened for payment. He said that he wasn't there but he was sure that my roommate must of miss understood his service guy. He told me that he requires payment immediately after services are performed. I then told him that this was not relayed to me the previous evening or I would have made other arrangements to get him payment. He apologized for the miss communication but said that he has been burned in the past and now he requires this. I told him I had No problem with this if he would have explained/communicated this the night before. My roommate was left paying for this service and now I had to waste time getting her the money back when this would have never happened if he would have told me what was expected.


    6/27/15 My apologies for not responding to this sooner. When I called to schedule this service the person was told that I was not going to be there that is why I asked them if they could take a credit card over the phone and he told me No problem when the paperwork gets back to the office the secretary would call me and take my information. If I was told then that payment was due immediately then I would have made other arrangements to have payment ready. My employer does not allow us to take personal calls during working ours so I could not contact you until I had a scheduled break which was only two hours later. Miscommunication is the biggest issue here, if you have been in business this long this should not have been an issue for you. I thought the person and I had an understanding about this service so I'm not sure why you state you were surprised about not having payment immediately. And we all take chances everyday, I'm a business owner as well so I'm well aware of choices that have to me made. Again this would not have been an issue if payment due immediately would have been relayed to me at time of scheduling.

    I called Elsie yesterday (January 13, 2015) at Moon Septic to ask the usual questions (for me) to get initial information on the care and maintenance of my House's septic system.  As I mentioned above, I bought my Home last October and it is "City Water and Septic" a situation that exists in most Homes in my area.  For a number of reasons I never really got to meet the Old Owners to ask THEM direct questions about the House to include the septic system.  Because I had been on "City Water and Sewer" for so long, thinking of a Septic System was not something I did with any frequency but, after moving into the new Home, the situation became one of concern to me since I had heard of all the horror stories concerning backed up toilets!  As such, I went on Angie's list here and began looking....you are listed as a fantastic company and it turns out to be true!  I called planning to make an appointment for sometime in the near future when Elsie asked me.....Are you home today?....when I said yes, She immediately said that She could send someone THAT DAY but that is would take about an hour for Him to empty the truck first.  She sounded so apologetic that with a smile on my face I felt like consoling the poor Lady (SMILE)!  Lynn arrived practically on schedule and like I mentioned above was FANTASTICALLY helpful in his advice and knowledge giving me information on what to look out for, how to make sure my Septic System remains healthy and very importantly here.....reassured me that MY system was in great shape!  ANYONE can with some training (though I don't know the details of such training) can go to a Home like Lynn did and pump a Septic Tank BUT, Moon Septic and Lynn in particular take such service even farther by providing WORLD CLASS Customer Service and a proven expertise!  Lynn answered EVERY one of my questions to my complete satisfaction and ADDED information that I had missed because I had said, I'm not familiar with Septic Systems......THANK YOU Moon Septic!......THANK YOU Lynn!  I believe in loyalty and the Companies and People I am finding on Angie's List to help me care for my new Home are people I hope to have with me for YEARS to come...I will be recommending Moon Septic to EVERYONE I know!

    The work was done very professionally. Moon arrived in the evening just before dark. They explained the procedures and cost before starting the work. The tank was so full it was necessary to inject water to liquefy the contents before it could be pumped. After pumping, they checked my sewer line and found it to be partially blocked so they flushed the line to remove the blockage. Most of this work was done in the dark, but they did a fine job.  After completing the word, they replaced both the soil and the turf they had removed to expose the tank. The workers were Professional, friendly and considerate.  I have no complaint of any kind.

    I called Moon Septic on a Saturday and they answered the call not only that they were at my house with in 1 hour. They gave me an estimate and told me they could start Monday afternoon they showed up on time and worked until after dark to finish. They have this customer for life. Highly recommend!

    I was impressed. The work was done as promised. The man who did the work (Tony) was very helpful. I was a little disappointed I was not able to get additional work completed while I was there, but not a major issue. Overall, they did a nice job.

    I put in a request on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, to have my septic tank pumped. I did so via their website at approximately 8:50 pm. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a phone call 10 minutes later from Rick. Fortunately, this was not an emergency; rather, it was only maintenance. Rick quoted the price as normally being $250. However, because I used the website, there was a $25 discount (this was advertised on the website). I was very happy that I didn't even have to ask for this discount. Rick took my address and made the appointment for my requested date and time. I don't think he was going to give a specific time, so future customers should request one. Rick did say that it is important for someone to be home to flush the toilets at the end to make sure that the lid is properly secured.

    The following day, I received a phone call from a lady in the office confirming my address.
    The employee arrived within minutes of the appointed time. There was no knock on the door. Rather, I heard noise outside and went to investigate. He found the lid to the septic tank, removed the sod, hooked up his pump, and was pumping without any introduction to me. Upon conclusion of the pumping, he did knock on the door. He introduced himself as Mike and asked if the call were for maintenance or if I had experienced a back up. I think he said he would want to investigate or something if it had been a back up. Since it wasn't, he went back outside and secured the lid.

    After securing the lid and very carefully replacing the sod, he sat in his truck for several minutes. Eventually he came back to the door to have me sign paperwork and take payment. I had to ask him if there were any problems, since he was somewhat uncomfortable discussing it. However, he was very nice and professional. He did not ask me to flush the toilets though, as Rick had advised on our phone call.

    Overall, I was very happy with the service I received. I would not hesitate to use this company again (although I may ask for a technician who is more explanatory).

    We called on a weekend to get our tank pumped out. We fully expected to pay weekend price, which was fine. But it was necessary, as our lines wouldn't drain. They arrived quickly that Sunday, worked, and left. We naturally assumed they did what we asked them to do. The next day, Monday, our toilets still wouldn't flush, so we called again. Again they came out that day, opened both tanks, worked for a while, and left. Things were still draining slowly, so we called a plumber. The plumber said there is a pipe that needs repaired, but he can't do it until our septic tank is pumped out! TWICE we called Busy Bee for a pump-out, and TWICE they didn't do it! So we called again. In spite of the plumber's statement and our draining problems, Busy Bee said our tanks were fine (they're NOT) and would charge for another visit to do the pump-out that we had requested in the first place. Terrible company.
