    Garage Doctors
exactly as expected. Quality of the work is spectacular. I'm guessing you could find someone to do the job cheaper, but in most things in life, you get what you pay for. Owner Mike and his crews were great to work with, did some additional work to help me out (moving stuff out of the garage so they could do their work when I was out of town) and did it on the dates they promised. If you wonder whether their price is worth it, I suggest you see one of their completed jobs!

    Garage Doctors
I cannot say enough good things about the preparation and final results that The Garage Doctors did on our 3-car garage floor. The house was a new purchase for us and the garage floor had stains and cracks from the previous owners. Tom and his workers took so much time and care to grind the concrete surface and seal all the cracks. They were down on their hands and knees grinding the edges and corners, and took particular care around existing equipment, like the a/c handlers. There were some additional large cracks that they had to spend more time on. They really focused on the preparation and knew that if the surface wasnt prepped properly, they wouldnt be able to install the product with confidence. They did an outstanding job of applying the colored base epoxy coat and covering it with a heavy layer of flakes. That needed a day to dry. They then came back and scraped and shaved the flakes to get a smooth surface. After sweeping and vacuuming the piles of flake debris, they proceeded to roll on the first coat of clear polyasparate. That needed about 3 hours to dry before applying the second coat. With the 2nd coat, we had them sprinkle on a fine sand so the final surface would not be slippery when wet. They did little things that impressed me. They never put their equipment or sharp tools on an unprotected surface. They always laid their stuff on cardboard or blankets. When they were grinding the concrete, the grinder was attached to a mega vacuum that sucked up about 98% of the concrete dust. They really paid attention to details. In all, it took 3 full days to complete the job, then 4 days before we could park our cars on the surface. Do NOT be tempted to hire a company that promises a completed floor in one day; they will cut corners and you will be left with a substandard result. The Garage Doctors were professional, courteous, and proud of their work. We are amazed at how gorgeous and practical the garage floor is now. It was well worth the investment.

These folks do a first class job!! They ground the floor, vacuumed it, mopped it with a cleaning agent and then laid the epoxy coating and sprinkles (I chose a partial sprinkle coat as opposed to total which occludes the base). Came back the next day to seal. The floor looks awesome and they warranty their work! These folks pay attention to detail and work on your project as if it were their home! I intend to hire them again in the future!!

    Modern Design
Modern Design were punctual and professional in all they did. Brian arrived on time to do the original proposal and quoted price and delivery on site, which was roughly 5 weeks out. Despite rain presenting scheduling problems the work was done by a two person team who were friendly and hard working. The work was completed according to expectations they set. The result is beautiful. We've had many compliments on the how it looks. Highly recommend. The only reason for a B rating on price is it was a bit more expensive than I expected, but we definitely got what we paid for!

    Ed Staib Quality Painting
We had outdoor carpeting glued to our 14' x 33' concrete patio floor, a few feet away from our pool. The carpeting was nice for the first few years, but cleaning and maintenance became a problem. Algae and mold grew quickly since it didn?t dry in many areas that were shaded by the patio roof. When we had channel drains installed to facilitate drainage during our hard summer rainstorms, we ripped up the degrading carpet.
The glue used to permanently adhere carpet outdoors is a thick, brownish-orange glue. Once our carpet was ripped up, the remains of the glue was permanently adhered to and had stained the patio Kool Deck surface. Our choices were to completely resurface the patio floor, or just have it painted. We preferred the simpler route.
Unfortunately, several painters we interviewed did not want to tackle the job. They were afraid that nothing in their arsenal would adhere to the old glue. Then Ed came over. He was experienced with painting driveways and used a primer that would ?stick to ANYTHING!? That sold me. We discussed the options and details and he sent me a proposal and time-frame that I accepted.
Ed, Amy, and EJ first pressure-washed the patio floor, getting up as much glue and debris as they could. That was a mess! After pressure-washing they hosed off everything including debris that splashed on the walls and windows. The second day they applied the primer. The third day they caulked holes and cracks then applied the first coat of paint, carefully taping or cutting-in the edges and around the drains. Unfortunately, the color I requested looked awful once it completely covered the floor. It?s difficult to visualize what 14? x 33? is going to actually look like from a 2? x 2? sample! I scrambled to find a suitable color match instead, and called Ed to request a replacement color. He had no problem with that and came over that evening and picked up the sample of the next color.
The fourth day he had the color matched and applied a sample of that color. It was perfect so he continued and applied the first coat of the new color. The fifth day he applied the final coat of the new color, with a non-slip additive in the paint (basically sand). Of course, the estimate he initially provided had to be increased due to the additional paint and labor.
The result is beautiful. Ed and his family-crew really cared about the quality of the job and it was important for them that I was happy. I re-hired them to paint the floor of our entrance-way and they again did an outstanding job.

The professionalism and friendly service was all that I could expect. Everything was explained and I had no doubts as to the efficiency of this team after watching them for just a short time. Everything was timed and they all worked together like a finely tuned watch. I was delighted. Smooth and quick. Talk about classing up your garage! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an epoxy floor. I think it's the best money can buy. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. Very, very pleased.

The showroom displayed the floor product well and they were very helpful with the product selection.
The preparation and application of the floor coating was done very well. They arrived on time and cleaned up upon completion. Instructions on allowing the floor to cure were helpful but given verbally and were somewhat confusing about waiting times, etc..
We are very pleased with the floor.
The cabinet installers arrive exactly on time and were finished in two hours. We are very pleased with the cabinets and their installation.
Administrative details need some improvement. We provided specific written details for cabinets but their Invoice to us had to be redone twice before it was correct. In the end, it all worked out.
Written instructions on the owner's responsibilities for curing the floor would be helpful and assign responsibility.

i never thought that i would have such a nice garage floor.  before i decided to have it done, i was bombarded by all sorts of well-meaning advice about how i could do it myself or pay a handyman to do it-- where everyone would be learning on the job-- but after the first few minutes i saw american garage's workmen and their heavy equipment go to work i knew that i had made the right decision by retaining well-trained professionals to do the job.  the owners tracie and ron were both very nice, knowledgeable and professional.  when we first got to work, i had a work emergency arise, but they worked with me through the emergency, and the finished product is beautiful.  their showroom floor also helped me make the final decision.  ron and his men were here when they said they'd be here and always explained what they would be doing.  as a lawyer named lorrier, who was born and raised in the tampa bay area, i highly recommend american garage.
