The dog was one of his first patient. I was number 85 for the day. He didn't do grand opening yet. He was doing soft opening, and I got in there. They are open on Sunday, but that is not typical when you bring in your animal. The membership was $99 back then. Things go up. He was very helpful. The dog was comatose, and really abused. Not only from puppy mill in Atlanta, Georgia. The Nate's sanctuary that was shut down. Nate's animal sanctuary. They had a good heart in the beginning, but they overwhelmed, and took too many in. The dogs were a sespool. They were dirty, matted, and had yeast infections. They would clean up the dog when you get one, and wouldn't let you see the facility. They were living there. They were using him as a stud, and he was living in an cage. He didn't know kitchen sounds. If you drop anything, he would freak. Thunder and lightening he still trembles. When he was on grass, he would look at it. The breeze took his breathe away. He didn't know fresh air. He has come a long way, and Dr. Walley knew what to do. We are glued at the hip. He knows the names of his toys. If my husband walks too fast, he won't go until I catch up. He babies me. The building was well designed. He had another facility. He built it, and his daughter went to vet school. They are nice people.

They have an premier pet maintenance club. For $109 you join. All the office visits for about $45-$50, you don't pay. Then you get a discount on the services. Puppy pedicure, they take it off. If you buy dog food there, they take a percentage off. I do use them. My cat is 21. The cat is happy. I laugh, you are going to give this cat a three year rabies shot. She is 21, hello. I didn't know if it was any stronger. He said, no. Its not. For the county you have to do that, in case they get out. She is happy. She jumps on the island to eat. The dog would eat her food, if I didn't serve her up. They are a tag team. When she is finished, she throws her plate down for him to finish the rest. Can you managed jumping from the counter to the floor at her age. Happy baby.

They were exceptional. I thought it was one or two loose teeth, and the x-ray they took showed me it was more extensions than that. The dog's don't have good bone density than dogs do. He ended up loosing eleven teeth. I was blind sided. We come in three to four weeks for a pedi. I was emotional. I have an almost toothless dog, and how to take care of him. They show me the x-ray, and explain it to me. They said it was the species that does this. I asked if the bone loss was his stomach, and said no, its just his area. He now gets brushed twice a day. I was doing it before, but not two to three times a day. The practice is doing it, and I am doing it. He is getting good quality diet, and not junk food. He doesn't like the dry, and I rather cook for him. He likes what I eat, and he likes vegetables.

He does do great work. Even the technicians. He takes under his wings the veterinarians, the students becoming veterinarians. They love being there, and working from him. They are learning a lot. They are very attentive to the animals. They are  very caring. Dr. Walley Dabasinskas.

We have been using them for 12 years before we moved here in Florida.  We like their bedside manner with our pest.  They are very professional and have a clean office.  My dog loves going there while most animals don’t like going to veterinarians.

They are excellent. Their prices aren't outrageous, I think for shots and everything is was under a $100. They do a really good job with us and taken good care of our pets. I've always thought they were fair, compared to other places I've dealt with. They are there when we schedule an appointment.

This visit was my third visit to Dr. Romero since moving the this area about fifteen months ago. Aside from general checkups, he performed a broken tooth extraction and tooth cleaning a few months ago. Although going to the vet is not my older dog's favorite pastime, he is accepting this new office amazingly well. Dr. Romero and his staff are professional and loving with the pet and thoroughly explain what is needed to know. All office visits have been prompt and not rushed. I would recommend him without hesitation and think my pet would agree.

Staff is really nice, and efficient. Doctor Fox seemed very knowledgeable and nice. He prescribed meds and gave Duke a couple of shots. We went to the office because Duke (a Yorkie) had caught a small bird and had been throwing up for about 2 1/2 hours.
Overall a hopefully good visit, if Duke gets better.

Our cant was not her normal self on Friday.  On Saturday she started drooling and ate less.  On Sunday she stopped eating.  Monday morning I was calling local vets.  Two told us to go to the animal emergency room or make an appointment for later on in the week. Animal Hospital at Lakewood Ranch took her right in!  They said the Doctor was in early and he would see her that morning.

On the surface it appeared our cat had two abscessed teeth.  The Doctor said he could easily remedy the issue but was concerned about how much liquid she lost.  He suggested we run a blood test on her before we started the work.  We had the blood work done and as it turned out she was in final state of kidney failure.  She was 18 but looked and acted healthy (she did drink lots of water - now in hind sight it was a sign we did not pick up on).  The abscess teeth were too much for her.  We had to put her down as it would have been too much on her to fix the teeth and than work on her kidney issue which was terminal.  We could not put her through that.  The staff was courteous, professional, caring, honest, and very sympathetic.

We told the staff we would never own another pet. Even though the staff knew our cat was our only pet they sent us a sympathy card.  The card was signed by the entire staff.  The messages were clearly written by people who truly cared about the life we saw sink away in such a short week end.  18 years gone.  The card was from the heart - not an advertising gimmick.  As it turns out our granddaughter had to find a new home for her cat.  If it not for the caring staff at Animal Hospital at Lakewood Ranch we would have passed on it.

Dr. King ranks high in my estimation, and I've been to lots of vets. He was first of all recommended to me by another veterinarian I respect, whose office location is not a practical option. The second recommendation came from my FIV+ Maine Coon, and he's been to lots of vets too. So there's a total of three recommendations in one.
