    The Cleaning Authority - Lakeland
    HOMEOWNER BEWARE - this franchisee doesn't run a good business. Generally Cleaning Authority in other parts of the country are top notch (I used to own a competitor franchise in another state). He talks a good talk on the phone or at an estimate, but when it comes to the clean, his employees are not fully trained and he doesn't vet them properly. He doesn't know the concept of customer service or that the customer is always he is defensive and argumentative. His teams use pumice bars in other areas outside of the toilet and do nothing about cross contamination of cleaning rags and vacuums. They do not clean from top to bottom and they follow no process of how to start cleaning a room at a certain point and go through it so they end in the same spot. On at least one occasion one of his employees used oil on my stainless steel appliances, which of course looked great on that clean but streaked on all other cleans after when a cleaning product was applied. They leave notes at the end of the clean, and they lie about what employees were in the home. We came home on more then once occasion and didn't know either of the employees in our home, yet their note had the names of the team we had been requesting. We used his service for almost a year as the clean was better then us cleaning or the headache of shopping for another service. We had a move out clean and it was a disaster. They sent new employees at 3:30 pm to do what should have taken 2-4 hours. They had to send another team, as the first team didn't know what they were doing and would have been there all night. They wasted time cleaning freshly painted baseboards that didn't need it and missed so much that we had to keep going back to have them fix things. In the end, they didn't clean anything high (even with their extension tools) - no top of fridge, light fixtures, ceiling fans, door frames, top shelves in cabinets, shower rods, etc. (remember this was an empty house). We had to go back and fix everything as we had to turn over the keys the next day. We received no accounting of the teams time and we asked that our credit card not be charged until we resolved the issues. When we asked for some type of credit on the hourly, he stood by the quality and time of his employees AND ran our credit card BEFORE calling us back! And now....he refuses to return our house key to us in person (we don't want it mailed or left under our mat). Save yourself the headache and don't use this franchise!

    The ladies have been here several times now and I couldn't be happier with the results. They're organized, thorough and professional. I have a small apartment, and they're in and out in an hour and half, and the looks and smells wonderfully clean. I highly recommend their services.

    I was told that two individuals would come to my house and deep clean it for $140. I am the caretaker of elderly parents, one which is critically ill. My husband and I both work, so this was a service we could benefit from. One person arrive early and was done in less than three hours. She had to be asked to dust the ceiling fans as she was walking out the door. She did not dust any book cases. The places she did dust, did not include moving any thing so when I picked an object up there was dust under it. My dad, asked her to sweep under the rug before she vacuum and she told him no. She used our vacuum and didn't empty it. Didn't do the blinds or anything else we were promised. I called the owner and texted her I would love to meet with her. Haven't heard back but have plenty of pictures. Would never recommend them unless you just want to pay good money for half done services.

    They not only completed all I had asked for but they cleaned the light fixtures, tops of cabinets that could be reached,had the bathrooms looking like new.     I thought fine until two days later I went back in and realized the tub was scummy, oven where click and knobs are was really dirty ( girls said it wouldn���t come clean) but I tried just the clock area with Hope���s Kitchen Cleaner and it came right off, cabinets were empty and I wanted wiped down so I could put shelf paper, but the front of shelves still had scotch tape and dirt. There were other things. When I called Tina 2 days later I left message of my disappointment. She called back and asked me to call her or she would call day after Christmas. I couldn���t leave message because it said her box was full. Never heard back so tried her the other day. She said she had been busy as two relatives had had heart problems. She overtaljed me in everything I was saying. She said they had sent me out a check for $30 which I never got. She said now i���m bringing up things after living in here 3 weeks. No - I called her after 2 days when I really noticed things, but couldn���t reach her. She said when girls were done they tried to call me. I have nothing on phone that they called. Must have been calling wrong number. I got there 20 minutes later. No way was it worth $350 (they used a coupon so I got $50 off). I wrote down when I talked with Tina it would be 3 girls about 3 hours.There was not a whole lot they had to do. I wanted runners for tub door, runner for sliding glass door. Ends of window sills where it was black done. They must not have had special cleaners because I could scrape off with nail. I just thought it would save me work and time if I had cleaners come in before I moved. I explained everything to Tina and she said it would be a deep clean. She said they were here 5 hours working. No - they came a half hour late, waited 20 minutes for me as they were to call me when done and I never got a call and were gone between 4:30-5:00. I didn���t write time down. Told them they didn���t even have to vacuum bedroom carpets, but when doing walk through I told them I cancelled new carpeting and if they had a vacuum if they could quick go over my bedroom as I had nothing if my things in the house yet. $30 back from $300 and I even tipped each of the two girls $10. I don���t ever speak up or complain, but I wasted $300. I told Tina before I responded to your e-mail I wanted to give her the curtesy if talking to her first.

    Extreme maids have been great from the start. They do a very thorough job cleaning and are always on time. We have had two different teams come to our house and both teams have been professional, polite and efficient. We would recommend them to anyone!

    Initial cleaning was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so I understand they were probably rushed, stressed, and tired. However, I still paid full price for a thorough deep clean. The owner called and I told them I was not very happy. [Mrs. Owner] was always very nice. She had the same team come back on Wednesday because there was too much missed. Even after the second visit, I still had to clean more things myself that were missed. Second cleaning - Still missed so many areas [mainly dusting] and I couldn't understand why my floors felt sticky right after they mopped. After this service, Mr. Owner called and I told him I just felt like the attitude was "it's good enough" and that the services had been over promised and under delivered. He stated that they [the cleaning team] work really hard and do their best. My perception was that he was making excuses for them. He finally said he would have them come back and address my concerns again. I told him I would not be available the next day and that I didn't really want them to come back out. Third cleaning - new cleaning team. I had very high hopes when I saw the team lead start walking around with her gloves on and "swiping" down different areas checking for dust. She asked me about any specific areas of concern and I told her I just wanted it all clean. She was training two new people, so they took a little bit longer than usual. Once they were finished, we did a quick walk-through and on the surface, everything looked fine. Later in the day, when I finished work, I did a more thorough inspection. While this team did a better job in some areas, they too missed a lot. For example, my Grandfather clock was not even touched. The tops of items sitting on my counters and furniture still had dust on them. Two days after this third cleaning, I had to re-clean the toilet in the front bathroom - one that had not even been used. Granted, I had them scheduled for every eight weeks [as opposed to monthly], but there is no one in my home except me and my small dog. I cancelled the service before the next scheduled cleaning. I don't know if there was a communications issue [I thought I was letting them know what concerned me] or if I wasn't paying enough for what needed to be done, or if their cleaning criteria just doesn't match mine. Again, nice enough folks for the most part - just not what I expected or felt compelled to continue paying for.

    I never even got past the very annoying overseas accented operator who kept telling me "bear with me one moment." She gave me the run around and told me the coupon deal on Angie's List for 3000 sq feet had a limitation on 4 bedrooms. What? I thanked her and hung up. What a ridiculous business. And if i am getting homecleaning I want to speak to somebody local- not a call center 15000 miles offshore.

    Linda's Cleaning
    Linda responded to my request for an estimate almost immediately. She made an appointment to come give me a more accurate quote. She called me before coming to verify, and arrived on time. She was dressed professionally and conducted herself professionally. She did a thorough inspection of my home and was very candid [while being very kind] about what needed to be done. I told her I had not spoken with any one else yet or gotten any other quotes. I also told her I had never used a house cleaning service before so I really wasn't sure what the cost should be or what to expect. She encouraged me to get additional quotes and speak with other companies before making a decision. After I followed her advice, I did make the decision to hire a different service. The main reason was because of the price - not the only factor, but pretty much the deciding one. Unfortunately, Linda's travel and employee expenses to provide the proper service in my location pushed the cost up a little too much for my budget. I was and am so very impressed with Linda. She is a delightful person and I so appreciate her honesty and integrity. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for this service.
