    Paul Davis Restoration Of Orlando
From day 1 - they were unprofessional. On first day Jason forgot to bring out cabinet, carpet and vinyl samples. They were two days late in starting work. They used unprofessional /unskilled people to do the work - the guy who did the painting was not qualified and we will have to get the painting redone. The same guy burst a pipe in downstairs bathroom and the plumber they got to fix the pipe did a lousy job. The carpet was laid wrong (pile going different directions so seams are not good); cut short in bedrooms so doesn't reach the baseboards, and a holes in stair carpet which he tried to hide with tufts of carpet. The same guy also fitted the vinyl in the bathroom which will have to be ripped up and replaced. They ripped up a carpet in one of the bedrooms - which they shouldn't have touched and left us with a concrete floor. The paintwork, drywall, carpet, vinyl has to be either corrected or completely redone. The owner (Robert Forbes) came out to our property and after inspecting the work, he shook my husband's hand and apologised and said "You shouldn't have had to experience this, I am going to go away and get it sorted". We told them we didn't want them back as they had had a month to sort things and failed miserably. Robert Forbes then put a lien on our property for the whole amount (approx $28,000) when he agreed at our property that some of the work wasn't done at all and other work needed to be revisited. If anyone is thinking of hiring Paul Davis Restoration of Orlando, you are welcome to come to our property and see how they have left it. Because of the lien and attorney fees we won't be able to get the work done until early next year.

One Of A Kind Carpenter Inc
It seems to me that my review has been severely altered and edited by someone other than me, to omit the entire story. So I will submit another and do so again if need be. I had originally contacted them through Angie's List as they were recommended as someone who would do just about anything that needed to be done including a handyman services. I sent them a request to have some water damage to my floors in my RV slide room areas repaired. The request included pictures and extensive detail of where the repairs were needed. They contacted me via text message and said okay they would discuss it the owner/service tech to see what they could do. Then they asked me how much did I have to spend. I told them "I live in a trailer for a reason", not divulging how much money I did or did not have to spend on such a project. After that point there was no further contact from them. I'm of the opinion that when they felt that I did not give them a dollar amount that they could work with they felt that there was no money in the project and they avoided any further communication. Just like being an automobile dealership, they first ask you how much money you have to spend and try to take as much as they can from you or more based on that figure. As you can see from their response they claim that they don't work on recreational vehicles or trailers. Nowhere in their website does it say or in their communications with me that they did not work on trailers. They are just using as an excuse fluff up a bad review. I have received several requests from them to remove the bad review to which I have chosen not to do. They could have offered me their "handyman for a day" and come and made the repairs which they do list "wood rot repairs" as an item. However they did not. I thought to be extremely expensive at $72 an hour or 575.00 for 8 hours for a business that has 3 employees and no large building, equipment, or overhead coosts. Seems to me they pick and choose who they like to do work for as long as its a big ticket item and ignore the rest.

    Neighborhood Adjusters- Public Adjusters
Things went very well! Neighborhood Adjusters (Elvis Taveras) was great, and we are very satisfied with the settlement he got us. We had broken pipes which caused a flood in several rooms of the house. Someone suggested we use a private adjuster to handle the claim. We called Neighborhood Adjusters and Elvis came the same day. He was very thorough in explaining what he does and the fees he charges. We signed the authorization for Elvis to file the claim with the insurance company. We never had to do another thing after that. Elvis did all the communications with the insurance adjuster and he kept us informed at every stage. We felt that the rates he charged was fair, and the settlement of over $18,000 sufficiently covered the damages we had. Based on our positive experience, we highly recommend the services of Neighborhood Adjusters.

ServPro of Winter Haven, Haines City/Polk City
Found a water leak on the side of the kitchen island which was due to a installation defect since then from when the house construction was finished. found mold creeping out from the kitchen island to the carpet. Opened it up and found the drainage pipe leaking and was just remedied with a packing tape from probably way back when the original plumber installed the plumbing. Called another company linked to my insurance but was disappointed since they did not progress immediately. Called Servpro of Winter Haven after finding it on a website with good reviews. Was visited immediately and the following day had started immediately on the mold remediation. Had some issues with one of the cabinets during the finishing but was rectified immediately.

I am not happy with them whatsoever. I had them do all this work for us. The people who did the flooring were in and out and did a good job, but the rest of the stuff took them forever to get anything done. They would stop and come back. Now I am still fighting with them because there is piddly little stuff that needs to be fixed and I am still fighting with them to get it done. I have been calling and calling and sending them emails. If they would come the probably could get it done in a day or two. I just got a call from them today and he said he would be here today, tomorrow or next week. Most of the charge was handled by the insurance. He even knows I am not going to give him a good review. The price was not bad. They farmed out some of the work and that work was good. I give him and the lady that was working with him a D. It took the lady who came out a long time to do the painting. They did not do a good job of putting the molding down. He put a hole in one of my bathroom walls and did not fix it right so you could tell there was a hole there. He installed three new toilets and one started leaking so he came back and fixed it. He took down one of my new bathroom mirrors and broke it. He replaced it. I just would not hire them, that's all.

They are con. They are not honest. The plastic they put up kept falling down. I put it back up and called them out fix it correctly- They did and it fell again at 3:00 am, I called there 24 hour service line and they refused to come out, I called them a con and they ripped up the contract. They missed the first 5 out of 9 appointment. From Dec 1st to the 14th they missed five appointments.

It went very well. We live in New York State but own a winter home in Central Florida. There was a plumbing leak that resulted in water damage to the home and mold and an elevated spore count throughout the home. We contacted several companies and contractors butAdvanced Restoration, Inc. was the onlyone that toldus about needing an independent mold inspector and what the complete process would entail. They were honest and wefelt thatwe could completely trust them withour home since we would not be able to be there to meet with them or monitor the work. Also, based on the discussions and information we were given, we were confident the job was going to be done right.Jon communicated with us regularly over phone, e-mail, and text. He was very responsive to our questions and concerns. This was a big job and we felt that we got more than our money's worth. After the job was completed, we visited the home and were impressed with theamount of work that was done and the level professionalism. It was because of the complete and thorough and professional job that was done that we were ultimately able to put the house on the market and sell it.

Mr. Lewis was very prompt in coming to our house to assess the damage and to offer advice on getting the needed repairs completed.  Repairs were done over a weekend (!) and were done in a very professional manner.  I would highly recommend this company.

    ServPro of Orange Country
ServPro came out to assess the situation after a water leak from an upstairs unit caused damage to my condo. The supervisor and technicians were very professional and on time. They provided estimates for me and the insurance company, then scheduled the work to begin right away. Everything went as planned, even though it took several days to complete the work. Removing mold is a tricky process, requiring knowledgeable and experienced technicians. I recommend this team from ServPro (Landstreet Rd., Orlando, FL) and will call them if needed in the future.
